Chapter 15

It's about 4 in the morning and I feel Alexander get out of the bed. I haven't gotten much rest because I was afraid I would oversleep. I kept my breathing pattern the same so he would think I was still asleep. After about 15 minutes I felt him come up to me and stroke my hair. He sighed and kissed my fore head. He made his way to the door and left closing it softly. I opened both of my eyes and waited for his footsteps to fade down the stairs. Once they did I took no time in bolting into his closet and grabbing on of his black hoodies and black shirt.

Let's rewind for a minute.

* Yesterday Afternoon *

Me and Charlie were in the living room talking quietly.

" So whats the plan Charlie? " I asked her.

" Ok I kinda know the way they're going from eavesdropping on Liam and it takes about 14 hours "

" But the potion only lasts 7.." I said to her worrying. " They're going to catch our scents. "

" No they are not. Listen to me carefully. They are strong, powerful and smelly. Their scents rub off on their clothes, beds, cars etc. And their smells are stronger than ours. " I nodded my head for her to keep going.

" So if we put enough of their aroma around us they will become confused. They already smell somewhat like us for being near us almost 24/7. So they won't know the difference between us and them. But they can only keep smelling the same thing for a while. When they start getting suspicious then we'll use the potion and hope it will last us the rest of the ride. "

I tried to process this information as much as I could.

" So what are we going to use to smell like them? "

" Well, we clearly can't use their shoes or pants because...well look at us. So we're going to have to use their hoodies, shirts and colon. Practically pour the whole bottle of it on you. " I nodded my head again trying to keep all of this in my brain.

" When will we meet up? " I asked her.

" We'll meet at the staircase. I know they'll be done around the same time so I'm giving us less then 10 minutes to get there. And when we do we'll go from there. Got it? " She said putting up her fist. I giggled and put mine against hers.

" Got it. "

* Present *

I threw on his t-shirt and ran into my closet to find some black pants and shoes. I settled on some tights and combat boots. Once I got them on I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and get my last pee in before we left. I came out and put his hoodie on me. I sprayed a lot of his colon on me and went for the door. But wait. Won't we be hungry in those 14 hours? I went towards my side of the bed and opened my nightstand which was technically my snack drawer. Don't judge.

I grabbed two juice boxes and a couple bags of pretzels. This should last us a bit. Yet knowing Charlie and myself I grabbed the cooking bag and stuffed everything in my pocket. I exited the room and went towards the stairs Charlie was there waiting for me. We honestly looked like assassins.

I took a seat against the wall next to her. " What now? " I asked her.

" We have to wait until they clear out the house. It should take about 15 minutes. " She said pulling the potion out and showing me, making sure we were good to go.

" So how was your night with Alexander? " She asked me. Even in the partially dark house I could still see her smirk. I blushed extremely hard and punched her shoulder making her laugh quietly.

" I'm pretty sure you had a swell time with Liam right?....." I asked her which made her blush and put her head in her hands.

" Welcome to my world with Alexander " I said patting her back.

She reached into her pocket for something else and handed me two pocket knives.

" Your gonna need these. I've already got mine " She said pulling out her two. I stared at her wide eyed as I nodded my head sticking it into my back pocket.

By this time they already started clearing out and it was time to make a move. We got to the bottom of the steps and ran to the window. It was still dark outside and we saw loads of SUVs ready to go. There were also people shifting into huge wolves and starting to take off as Alexander directed them. Looks like there going on foot. All together it looked to be 50+ wolves and 200 people. Hmm Alexander doesn't play.

" We need to shift so we can get there without being noticed. " She said and I nodded my head and shifted. When we finished we grabbed our clothes in our mouths and ran for the side door. Once we were out she nodded her head towards the SUV that was longer than the others. It looked to be the one that was going to hold Alexander, Jaxon, Nate and the strongest warriors including Liam. We dashed towards the trunk which was open and zig-zagged our way through the boxes of food and supplies to get to the back. As soon as we got there we huddle together in the corner with the clothes wrapped around us and waited.

They got everything together and shut the trunk which made us jump a bit. I heard Alexander do a dog whistle and yell " Alright men let's go. Stay close and keep an eye out for our runners. "

They entered their assigned SUVs and started driving. Me and Charlie stayed quiet and stayed together. The guys started talking about the plan and after about 1 hour I felt a bit tired. I signaled Charlie that I was gonna take a quick nap and she nodded her head and stayed awake. I closed my eyes and let my dreams take over.

Another 2 hours past and I felt a nudge on my side. I woke up slowly to see Charlie holding her stomach. I made a small grin and went into my pocket pulling out some pretzels, the juice boxes and some cookies. It took us a while to open the juice boxes while shifted but none the less we opened them and ate our snacks still having some for later.

She laid her head down letting me know she was getting tired and it was time for me to keep watch. I was laying against her and listening to the guys conversation. It wasn't anything too relevant so I just tuned them out until I heard someone sniff the air.

" Somethings not right. " I heard Jaxon say and I instantly tensed up. Their smell is wearing off. I quickly shook Charlie but she was passed out.

" Why am I all of a sudden smelling kitten and Charlie? " Alexander said and I felt the car pull over. I kept shaking Charlie but she didn't budge.

" Check the back " Alexander commanded and I heard the doors open. I couldn't take it anymore. I turned my back to Charlie and horse kicked her with all the force I could put into my tiny kitten legs which sent her into the wall waking up instantly. I nodded my head towards her hoodie. She quickly looked around and understood the situation. She grabbed the bottle from her pocket and opened it as quickly as she could. She drunk half and gave me the other half. When I finished drinking it all I felt really weird.

It was as if something was lifting off of my skin and something new was placed on it. We pushed ourselves more into the corner and hid under our black clothing. The trunk opened and closed after a couple seconds. They all got back into the car and sat for a while.

" Strange..." I heard Nate say. " We all smelt it but now it's gone..."

" Let's just try and stay focused. " I heard Liam say and the car pulled off again.

If I've been counting correctly we had about 5 hours left. Charlie's nap must of been really long. We stayed up for the rest of the time being and ate cookies while we waited.

* 5 hours later *

I felt the car come to another stop and we both instantly perked up. It looked like we were still in the forest. One of the wolves who were running came up to one of the windows. It was silent for a while which meant they were mind linking each other. I heard the other SUVs roll up to us as well.

Alexander chuckled " Time to crash a party boys " He said then I felt him press on the gas with full force and the cars following us doing the same. Me and Charlie both looked anxious to see what was going to happen. The forest started to fade away then out of no where the car started to swerve and all 8 of them including Alexander jump out of the car shifting in the process into their massive wolves. Me and Charlie shifted back to normal throwing on our clothes and peaked outside the trunk window.

There were loads of wolves from our pack starting to tear the throats out of the others wolves. It was technically the same as what happened at home. All of a sudden I started to feel a pull on my body. It wasn't physically pulling me but it was trying to force me to go.

" Alright Ren, are you ready to go? " Charlie asked.

" I don't know Charlie. I feel like there's something I have to do... Something important. " I said.

" Alright. You do what you need to do and I'm going to find Liam ok? " She said pulling her hood over and pulling out her knives. I pulled my hood over and nodded. " Ok. "

We both grabbed the handles from the trunk and Charlie spoke " Ready 1....2......3!! " We pulled it up and dashed out into different directions. Me to where the pull was taking me and her towards the smell of Liam. One wolf stepped in front of me ready to lung but and soon as it did I slid under it and kept running. Whatever this pull was, it sure was making me stronger.

As I kept going it started to get quiet and no wolves were around which was strange. It started leading me into my old neighborhood and up to....my parents home. I stopped right in front of the porch and thought. 'Why would it lead me here?' Since the pull kept getting stronger I just went up to the door and opened it. Surprisingly it was open. It lead me to upstairs and I started following it. Looking around though it seems nothing has changed.

I kept going until it led me to the back room which was their bedroom. I opened it slowly and stood there shocked. There they were. By there closet whispering things to each other about something. I stepped into the room and by then they noticed me. My so called father stepped in front of my mother and they both growled.

" Who the hell are you?!? " He said and I slowly removed my hood. Once I did their eyes widened. My mother walked around my father and slowly walked up to me. When she was in arms length she stared at me for a while. Then in the blink of an eye she forcefully grabbed my neck and pushed me into the wall. My feet came off the floor and I was clawing at her hand gasping for air.

" You caused all of this. This is all your fault. I knew we should have killed you when we had the chance! " She said hissing in my face. The threw me against the opposite wall and shattering the frames that were hanging on it. All of a sudden a growl escaped my lips. A growl....That's not supposed to happen. The growl was so loud, maybe as loud as Alexander's, that it made the house shake and my parents blink in fear. I felt my eyes grow darker and my anger rise higher. I grabbed the knives from my back pocket and whipped them out making them wince.

I looked them both in the eyes before smiling sadistically making me slowly start to loose my sanity.

Alexander's POV:

* 15 minutes earlier *

We jumped out of the car shifting and started running for their pack house. Our runners had already came and started attacking and the others were shifting preparing to fight. Once we enter we frantically searched each room trying to find Briggs but sadly the son of a bitch was gone. I mind linked the 7 of them telling them to search the pack grounds. They did without hesitation and I was left in this excuse of a pack house. I padded my way towards the door and smiled on the inside. The smell of blood always did get me and Xander excited. I was about to continue the search until something caught my eye.

Zooming straight past me was a small figure in all black holding a knife in each hand. They were going extremely fast and each time a wolf came up to them, they sliced it's throat. What the hell? I came down to the ground and observed some more. A wolf jumped towards them but the person rolled and in the process sliced it's stomach. And as fast as they went down they popped right back up and kept running. I growled lowly and snarled. There's only one person I know who can run that fast for their size, handle knives that well, and do a forward roll in the process of it all....Charlie.

I took off after her and started gaining on her tail. When I was close enough I pushed her into one of the openings near the houses and pinned her down. She took her hood off quickly and blinked twice at me before huffing.

' Why are you here!!! ' I mind linked her furiously.

" I'm here for my Liam and I was close to finding him until you pinned me down " She said.

' Why do you smell different..Was that you we smelt in the car??!? ' I asked and she nodded her head. How did she even- Never mind.

' Wait a minute... So kitten's with you as well!?! ' I said and she nodded her looking ashamed. I got off her and helped her up.

' Where is she!?! ' I asked her through the link and toward over her small frame.

" I don't know. She said she had to do something and we went our separate ways. She smells just like me though so you can track her down. " She said and I nodded my head.

' You'll be ok? ' I asked her and she just giggled. She threw her hood on and pulled out her knives walking out into the open.

" Don't worry alpha. I'll be just fine " She said stepping into the open. Once she did a wolf ran up to her and she slice it's throat. When it fell she gave me a small wave before taking off. I smiled inside my head and took off. I followed the different scent leading me to a house in a very quiet neighborhood. I shifted back and put my clothes back on that were tied around my leg and walked in the already opened door.

I was walking towards the scent until I heard a dark growl that shook the whole house and had me running towards it. It lead me upstairs where through an open door was my kitten and 2 people in the room who looked a bit like her. I walked up to the open door but not too much to be openly seen. She stood up from the position she was in slowly and looked up towards them, eyes pitch black dark, holding knives and smiling evilly. This was not my kitten. I knew about her kind being a little fucked up but I didn't think she would be too.

Then in a flash she threw the knife straight at the woman's head, going through her skull, making her fall to the ground killing her instantly. My eyes widen when I saw this and my pants got a little tighter. Not saying I'm a psychopath or anything but that was fucking sexy. The man looked to the woman in horror and fell down to his knees in front of her body.

" Good bye mother. Go burn in hell! You shall soon be joining her as well father " she said running up to her father kicking him down and stabbing him in the heart. He was coughing up blood and she just sat on him stabbing him in the chest repeatedly about 20+ times. I walked into the room and prepared myself for the worst.

" Kitten? " I said which made her stop. She turned her head looking back at me with her eyes dark black.

She giggled to herself and said " Oh hi Zandy!! " And in slow motion I saw her pick up the knife from his chest and throw towards my face.
