Chapter 18

Charlie's POV

When Alexander closed the door Liam sighed and walked over to me. He turned the chair so I was facing him. He stroked my face.

" You ok little one? " He asked and I nodded my head. They all have been pretty busy and all I want to do is cuddle with Liam. Alpha Briggs needs to just go away. He's the one who started all this.

" We're going to be out for a while... I need you to be a good girl and watch over Serenity ok? " He said and I nodded my head again. He gave my forehead a kiss and ruffled my hair.

" See you later baby " And sadly he pulled away and walked out. I turned back to Serenity and I felt like tearing up. She's like the sister I never had and always wanted. Not like an over protective dickhead of a brother. She looked like she was mumbling things so I turned the volume up a bit. All she was doing was whispering 'sorry'.

Then out of nowhere she jolted forward and cried.

" DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME? I SAID I WAS FUCKING SORRY!! " She screamed as tears poured down her face. My heart clenched and I turned the volume back down. If I was seeing clearly her eyes were switching again. Either Serenity was trying to come back or Sarah was trying to give her back the control. Looking at her I'd say both but mostly the first. She relaxed and went back to just whispering sorry.

I laid my head on my arm and just watched. After ten minutes or so past I found myself falling asleep.

Morning

I woke up slowly and looked around. I must have fell asleep in the control room. I looked to the clock and it read 7:38. Damn it's early. I looked at the camera to see Serenity with her head down probably sleeping. I started to get angry. I don't care what those mother fuckers say outside. She hasn't eaten in two days, she hasn't showered and she must be terrified. I've had enough of this shit.

I stood up and walked out. I entered me and Liam's room and grabbed some clothes. I went into the bathroom to take a quick shower, brush my teeth and got dressed in my clothes when I finished. I combed through my hair and decided to let it air dry and walked out.

I grabbed some clothes for Serenity setting them on the bed and walked out of the room. I walked downstairs and went towards the basement. I walked down the old stairs and once I reached her cell door I looked around. No ones down here so let's just get this over with. I punched in the code and the door swung open. In the chair I saw a now awake Serenity who looked like she was about to pass out.

I quickly grabbed the knife I stashed in my boot (don't ask why) and quickly cut open the ropes. I put the knife back in my pocket and I grabbed Serenity's face.

" Can you hear me Serenity? Are you ok? " I asked as I saw her eyes more brown than black.

" C-C-C-Charlie? " She asked and I nodded my head. I pulled her arm over my shoulder and hoisted her up so she was standing.

" Yeah babe it's me. Come on. Let's get you out of this hell hole. " We started walking and she looked at me.

" D-d-does Z-Zandy know t-that I'm s-s-sorry? " She asked and I looked over to her and saw that it was Sarah who asked.

" He knows... He knows you're sorry " She nodded her head and we walked up the stairs. I peeked my head out and saw a couple guards in the kitchen and some at the door.

" Well shit in my pants, when the hell did they get there. "

I looked over to Serenity and saw she was still a little dizzy. There was no way we were gonna make it past them without being caught. I thought for a moment before an idea popped in my head. I let go of her arm and bent down in front of her.

" Hop on " I said and I felt her carelessly throw her body on top of mine. My eyes popped open from the impact and I almost fell over. Didn't expect that but at least she's listening. I grabbed her legs and she wrapped her arms around me. I looked out to see the men with their backs turned talking.

" Alright whatever you do, don't fall " I opened the the door slowly and made a B-line for the back staircase that was on the other side of the house away from the kitchen. Once we made it I quickly ran up the stairs trying to catch my breath because god was she heavy. When we reached the room I put her down and fell on the bed next to her.

" Shit I'm tired " I said catching my breath. I looked over to see her sitting with her legs folded and she was staring at the wall. I stood up and grabbed her hand.

" Let's get you in the shower then dressed ok? " I said and she nodded her head standing up walking slowly into the bathroom with me.

After struggling for a half hour to wash her body, brush her teeth and get her clothed I finally finished and she was sitting on the bed waiting for me. I looked over to the clock to see it was almost 9. I don't want to leave her in here for the chances of being caught and we really can't go downstairs. So I took her to a small room that I made in the attic a long time ago that no one but my parents know about. Once we were inside I sat her on the sofa and put a blanket over her.

I took a seat next to her and sighed. If and when Alexander finds out I took her out of that room he sure is going to be pissed. I hope he didn't expect me to be ok with her in that damn room. I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt Serenity poke my shoulder 3 times.

I looked over to her " Hmmm? " She bit her lip and looked down.

" S-s-sorry...... food for S-Serenity? " She said and I could tell it was still Sarah. Oh shit I forgot about the food. I nodded my head and stood up.

" Stay still. I'll be right back ok? " I said and she nodded her head. I quickly ran downstairs to the kitchen and brought back some fruit, water, cookies (obviously) and a sandwich. I went into the attic and saw that she hadn't move from the spot. I sat the food on the small table beside us. I fed her a little bit at a time and after finishing half she pushed it away. She laid her head on my shoulder.

" Does Z-Zandy forgive S-Sarah? " She asked and I sighed.

" Yes he does... "

" Is h-he m-mad? " She asked and I thought about it.

" Just a little "

She whimpered and wrapped her arms around me. " W-why? "

" Well for starters Sarah, you weren't a very good girl " I said petting her hair.

" ......I-I k-know. I j-just didn't w-want Z-Zandy to hate me a-after what I did " She said and tears started falling from her eyes.

" I know but you wanna know what's gonna make him forgive you? " I asked and she nodded her head.

" You need to let Serenity have control again... And soon enough we will all be able to resolve this problem. " She sniffled and I heard the door creak open. I looked over to see Alexander, Liam, Nate, Jaxon, Alpha Lennox and my dad. I tucked Serenity under my arm and hissed quietly at them and mouthed 'stay away'.

They stayed where the were and I continued to talk softly to Seren- well Sarah.

" Do you think you could do that? Hmm "

She whimpered and started sobbing " H-he's gonna h-hate me, not Serenity. I d-don't want him to. "

I sighed while looking at the guys " He's not going to hate you "

" Yes he is. He's going to hate me " She cried into my sleeve.

Alexander's POV

All night we've been working on the search for Briggs and I can't tell if we're moving forward or back. During the morning we tried to look for anything suspicious but we didn't find anything useful. All throughout the morning I had a feeling that something was wrong. When it was around 9 I tried to mind link Charlie but she blocked me out. But being Alpha and all, I was able to break the wall easily.

As I read her thoughts panic rose in my system. She let her out. I called everyone back and we all darted for the control room. Which held no Charlie and the cameras held no Serenity. I had told one of my warriors to run back the security footage while the rest of us searched. We looked for there scents but for some reason it was spread all over the house. After looking all over I was about to lose it. I beyond furious and I was about to go downstairs until I heard a small whimper. I walked over slowly calling the guys over. I watched as Jaxon walked up to the attic door and the whimpers got louder.

He gestured us over and we walk up the stairs as we heard Charlie speak and tiny replies from Serenity. I was trying to get angry but when I saw how upset she was in Charlie's lap I couldn't even think of being mad.

Charlie's hissed at us making us stop and our tracks and mouthed for us to stay away. Which we did. Then they continued speaking.

" Yes he is. He's going to hate me "

" Babe he's no- "

" YES HE IS! I SAID I'M SORRY BUT HE WILL STILL HATE ME! " She screamed while sobbing into Charlie. I thought it was time to step in so I walked up to them and crouched down to their height. I grabbed Serenity's hand and I heard a tiny gasp.

" Baby I'm not mad at you... " I said and she turned around and mumbled. " Yes you are "

I could feel Xander trying to come out and I just let him so we could get through this quicker. My eyes went black and he spoke.

" Little one Alexander and I are not mad. " She continued to cry and tried to pull her hand away from him. Xander got extremely upset and growled loudly. He grabbed both of her arms and carefully but forcefully brought her over to him so she was face to face.

" Stop it right now. " He said trying not to lash out.

" B-b-but- " He stopped her.

" No buts. We will continue this conversation another time but for now you are to give Serenity back her full control. Do you understand? " He said using his alpha tone. She hesitantly nodded her head and I gained control again.

I looked into her eyes seeing them slowly changing back into brown until they finally changed into kitten's beautiful brown orbs. She looked around as her eyes started to water and out of nowhere threw her arms around my neck tightly.

Serenity's POV

When everything started to brighten, tears came to my eyes. I latched onto Zandy as hard as I could and balled my eyes out. I was running my fingers through his hair and sobbing. He wrapped his arms around me and cooed softly in my ear. I felt him stand up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He walked down the stairs and into a room. He tried to sit me on the bed but I wouldn't let him. I held on tighter and he chuckled.

" Can I get you something to wear kitten? " He asked and I paused for a second before nodding. I let go of him reluctantly and he walked over to the closet. A couple minutes later he came out in his underwear that was still owned by Calvin and on of his dress shirts in his arms.

" Arms up baby. " I put them up and he took of my shirt and bra. He put the shirt on me and slid off my pants. He dimmed the light and came back over. He slid in the bed and I immediately curled up under the covers next to him. He smiled and stroked my hair pulling me closer to him.

As I was about to fall asleep I felt him place a gentle kiss on my forehead and I was out like a light.

It was the next morning and Alexander gave me a bath and took a shower himself. When we were dressed he carried me out back to where Alpha Lennox had a large and beautiful garden with a field, trees, flowers and a fountain.

We sat on one of the comfy chairs on the patio that was attached to the house. Alexander stroked my hair as I looked at the trees sway in the wind. After a couple minutes I turned my body so I was now facing him and I was straddling him with my arms around his neck. He had his placed on my hips and he was rubbing small circles. It was silent for a while and we just stared into each others eyes. I broke the comfortable silence by singing to him.

When I finished I looked up at him through my long eyelashes and he looked like he was about to cry even though I knew he wasn't going to.

He smiled " That was beautiful kitten "

I smiled back to him and said a small thank you. After a few seconds something that I've wanted for the longest time came out of my mouth.

" I want you to make me your's " He looked shocked.

" What? " He said and I sat up straighter and moved my hair to one side.

" Even if you don't do everything, I-I want you to make me your's " He looked me in the eye for a bit then leaned in for a kiss. I ran my fingers through his hair as he caressed my hips and bum. He moved the kisses down to my neck and started to lick the spot he was going to mark which made me shiver.

" Are you sure you're ready kitten? " He asked and I nodded my head. I looked over to see his eyes darkening and his canines elongated. Then all of a sudden I felt him pierce my skin. I let out a large whimper as the pain felt awful and a couple tears fell. But the pain soon started to fade and it turned into pure pleasure. I was moaning and gripping his hair as the sensation flew all threw out my body and mind. When he finished he gave the bite another lick and leaned back with me still wrapped around him.

I started to feel a bit dizzy and he just rubbed my back and cooed in my ear. My eyes started to fall and before I fell asleep I heard him whisper.

" I love you "
