Chapter 9: Debut and ...

No One POV:

A few months after the incident with Arius, the King had sent letters urging the duke to bring Arius to the palace. However, the duke pissed off at King finally decided to reject the royal order. Afterwards, the King had stopped sending letters.

Meanwhile, the duke's whole manor was in chaos trying to prepare for Aeryn's and Arius' debutant. However there was just one problem. Arius was just too lazy to get out of bed and he was sleepy. So they had to plan a plan just to get Arius up. Before Breakfast, Marcus had made Arius wake up and got him dressed. A couple of steps before the door, the servants and tailor came inside the room and surrounded him.

"This plan is quite excellent...."

The servants laughed a little and got back to work in helping the tailor measure Arius's arms, legs, waist and etc. Once they had gotten Arius's measurements, they had left him alone and got straight back to work.

"Seriously..."Arius muttered to himself softly.

Like usual, Arius started his daily routine. Going down for breakfast then going to the garden to take a nap. Upon waking up from his nap he would lunch with his family and tea with Aeryn. And of course going back to sleep until dinner. However today his schedule was going to change.

"Arius."

"Yes mother?"

"I've noticed you've been staying at home a lot and it's getting quite worrying. You are not making any friends at all."

"Ah.."

'Oh god she noticed.'

"Your mother is right. At your age you should be having fun. You should enjoy going out as you only have a few more years left of freedom."

"What do you mean father?...."

"Honey!This was meant to be said after your debut but your father blurted it out!-"

"My apologies dear... However what I meant is that you will be going to the Strass Academy with Aeryn after your debut."

"That's why I wanted to bring you out to at least get you to be a little social."

"I see.. Alright. I'll go out with you. I actually want to buy something."

"Really? That's great! Aeryn dear, you should come too!" Lilith smiled and squealed in excitement.

"The music store?"

"Mhm."

"You never told me you loved instruments Arius! How could hide this from your mother! I'm heartbroken!" Lilith said sarcastically.

"Hehe, I'm sorry mother." Arius chuckled softly at his mother's words.

"Duchess..."

"Hm? I see.. Arius darling, why don't you and Aeryn head inside first?"

"Alright."Arius replied nodding his head.

After they went inside they saw a bunch of instruments, the piano, flutes and the guitar. However the instrument he wanted was none of those things. It was the violin he wanted. Seeing as there were no violins, he headed towards the shopkeeper asking if there were any violins in stock.

"Ah! Yes we do sell violins here, however we've put them in the back as people were not buying them due to the price the cost."

Arius was quite surprised, didn't pianos cost more than the violin? How could the price of a violin be higher than the piano.

"Why's that?" Aeryn questioned.

"Well you see, the violin is made out of wood from the elven forest where elves reside and it's usually quite difficult to acquire."

"Elven forest? Could you let me see it? I would like to try playing it."

"Yes, right away!"

The shop keeper went into the storage room and carefully took out the violin. To be honest, Arius didn't see anything special about it. It looked just like a regular violin. When the shopkeeper passed the violin to Arius, he began examining it.

'It's no different.'

After examining it, he began to play a simple melody. As expected it was no different from a typical violin. He was just trying to scam people.

"Sell it for a lower price."

"Yes I understand- Wait?! What do you mean?!"

"This is just made out of regular wood. Isn't it? You've been tricking people by telling them that this was made out of eleven wood."

"Agh-..."

"I see no point in buying your products. As a punishment for scamming people, I will send some people here tomorrow morning. Don't think about even running away."

"Please forgive me! I have committed a grave mistake!" The shopkeeper exclaimed and dropped onto his knees, begging Arius to give him another chance.

"I'm sure you have been scamming people for a long time. This cannot be ignored any further."

The actual reason why Arius came here was because before they had came out the shopping district, his father had informed him about a shop that had been scamming people and he wanted Arius to stop prevent that from occurring again. So he decided to ask Arius to help him resolve the situation. Arius didn't mind as he got the chance to go out.After resolving the issue. Arius and Aeryn exited the store and began strolling through the the shopping district. Hoping to find something interesting.

"Arius, would you be fine alone? I saw a store which had swords."

"Haha, Aeryn, you don't need to tell me your every move. Of course I will be fine alone. I'll just walk around a bit more. Just remember when you're done looking, be sure to head to that cafe alright?"

"Mm"

From that point onwards, Arius began walking around own his own, looking at the villagers lively expressions.

-Thud-

"Ouch-...that hurts.."

"Are you alright?..."

'Huh?'

Arius looked up and saw a hooded man with a mask on his face. His hair white as snow and eyes green as emeralds. The hooded man helped Arius up and once again asked if he was alright.

"Ah! I'm alright you don't have to worry too much."

"I see.... I am very sorry for bumping into you, you're quite hard to notice."

"...Excuse you! I am 159cm!"

"And I'm 170" the hooded man chuckled slightly. After hearing the hooded man's words, Arius pouted.

"How about this, I'll buy you some desserts as an apology at that cafe."

"That is..."

"What's wrong, are you in a hurry?"

"Ack! No- it's just that I'm meeting someone there later."  Arius scratched his head.

"You don't have to worry, I won't take much of your time."

Despite being reluctant and not wanting to go, Arius still accepted his invitation and followed him to the cafe. Arius felt something warm about him. Something that draws him to the strange man. Going inside the cafe they sat down and began to order some desserts and drinks.

"What would you like to order?"

"Perhaps the strawberry shortcake and some tea."

"Alright" The man called over the waiter and told him their order. After ordering, Arius asked the man some questions.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your name? And how old are you?"

The man chuckled slightly and responded with a smile, "I'm 15 years old. My name is Cla- I mean Cecillion-.."

"Dang it-... I thought you would be the same age as me-.."

"Haha, what about you?"

"I'm Arius, I'm 12 turning 13 this year!"

"So you're three years younger than me. No wonder you were upset about me being older-"

"Hmph! Anyways, if you don't mind me asking-..why are you wearing a mask. Ack! No wait! I'm sorry for being rude! You must have your own reasons, sorry for asking something so personal."

"Ah-...no, it's alright. I guess I kinda look suspicious in the mask. And you're not being rude, I've had many people ask the same question. Well you see, I've been placed other a curse."

"A curse?-.."

"Yes that's right-"

"Arius!"

"Ack! Hurry quickly you better go! If you finds you with me he'll kill you! Here! Take this!"

"Ah- alright-..."

Cecillion POV:

'I wonder what he gave me'

I looked at the paper he gave wonder what he was wrote inside. I wanted to look at it however I had to get back as soon as possible or else I will be late for the meeting.  Sprinting a fast as he could Cecillion finally made it to the carriage.

"James, am I late?" Not even sweating or panting, Cellini asked his servant.

"No sire, you've got about 40 minutes left to spare."

"I see, well then, let's get a move on."

Cecillion got onto the carriage and thought about Arius. His long silky hair. His eyes shining as bright as the sun, everything about him was bright and sunny. Reminiscing about Arius, he suddenly remembered the paper that Arius gave him. Cecillion the piece of paper out of his pocket, and began reading it.

-Let's meet again shall we?-

Cecillion smiled slightly after reading the paper letting out a chortle. He was happy that someone was at least willing to meet him again besides his servants.

No One POV:

"Arius!"

"Mother! You're here! Wait how did you know we were coming here?"

"Hehe, I ran into Aeryn when I was looking you guys."

After finding Arius, Lilith sat down and asked Arius where he had gotten so much food as she had knew that Arius could not eat that much food. Arius forgot about the food so he just decided to just say that it was for them.

Day Of The Debut

On the day of the debut, Arius dolled up by all the maids just like how regular girls have at their debut.

"Young master! You're simply stunning! I at lost for words!"

"Thank you Julia."

What Arius is wearing:

"Arius are you ready?" Aeryn said knocking on the door.

"Mhm! I'm ready" Arius replied nervously.

Arius walked out of the room and took Aeryn's hand. As soon as Arius walked out of the room Aeryn was stunned. As they walked down the hallway Aeryn talked about how pretty (handsome) Arius looked. Arius was glad that Aeryn liked his outfit and giggled at Aeryn's words for calling him pretty.

"Aeryn! Arius! C'mon!" Sebastian shouted excitedly.

"My gosh! My baby is all grown up!"

"I agree!" Damian smiled at his son.

"Well then I think we should get going!" Lillian suddenly appeared.

When they had all calmed down a little, they ask the guards to open the humongous doors.

"Presenting Damian Edward Chester and Lilith Rose Chester! Following by Damian and Lillian Edward Chester!"

As the four of them walked down the stairs, the large crowd awaiting them started whispering about how amazing they had looked. The Chester family's beauty could not be outmatched. They were at the Center of attention at this banquet. However it was not for long as Aeryn and Arius were coming out.

"Last but not least! Presenting, Arius Edward Chester and Aeryn De Alexander!"

Walking down the stairs people gazed upon them. They were at the Center of attention. Seeing Arius and Aeryn walk down the stairs for their debut made Arius's parents and Louis proud. They were finally about to move on to a new chapter of their life.  When the had finally reached the end of the stairs, Damian had started his speech.

"Welcome everyone! As you all know you are here for one reason and one reason only. We are here to celebrate my son and Aeryn De Alexander debuts! I thank you all for coming to celebrate this joyous occasion! Please help yourselves to the splendid feast that we have prepared and the refreshments! Once again I thank you all for coming! The dance will commence shortly!"

When Damian had finished his speech, all of the nobles started swarming around each of the Chester family members asking them about thing in any usual aristocrat party. As an hour passed, some loud noises could be heard from outside of the hall. As loud footsteps strode down the hall, the people in the hall started getting anxious. Wondering who or what was behind the door.

"What are you waiting for? Announce me."

"Y-Yes!- Presenting Prince Claude Strass Albertine!"

As the guard announced the arrival of a guest and opened the doors, the humongous crowd of people gathered were stunned and started chattering. The one who was coming down the stairs was Claude Strass Albertine. The Monstrous Crown Prince who fought the Great War against many kingdoms. He was not hesitant in killing people who were in his way.

A/N: Hello! It's been awhile. Sorry for not posting in December even though I said I would. I just kinda forgot about it. Anyways, I tried making this story as long as possible as an apology for not posting.

I will probably post another in a few week or a month. I don't really use Wattpad as much as I use too but I will still continue to update.The word count without my 'A/N' is 2038. 400-600+ more words to read. Whoo-Hoo!

My updates are not consistent as I loose motivation easily. But once again like I said I will still post as I should finish what I have started. Meaning that I will try my best to finish this story. I will probably post a character introduction for all the love interest and you might be surprised with it. Please continue supporting me as we are almost near 10k reads!
