Chapter 39
30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)
Chapter 39 Kristin pressed on, and her temper flared, âWhatâs wrong with Estrella? Sheâs beautiful, smart, has a killer body, an impressive education, and comes from a good family. Sheâs leagues above that Serene, yet you treat her like sheâs invisibleâ
âAnd didnât you agree to this marriage? You brought Estrella home, but now youâre just leaving her alone. Isnât that just heartless?
If you want this way, you should have never agreed to the marriage!
Itâs been over two years since youâve been married. How often have you been home? Estrellaâs always the one reaching out. Do you think this is appropriate?
âIf someone wishes for you to have a fulfilling life with Estrella, you would direct them to construct schools in distant locations You are a total disgrace to the Nelson family.â
Jasonâs head was pounding. He massaged the bridge of his nose and met Kristinâs gaze, which was fiery with indignation What now? You want me to head off and build schools too?
Jason muttered 1 wouldnât dareâ
Indeed, Estrella had always been the initiator throughout their marriage But why did Estrella get married with him and become the initiator? Everyone in the family knew the reason and her purpose Had Estrella been sincere had that incident not occurred.
things might have been different Jason didnât want to argue with Kristin so he placated her âWeâre not getting a divorce, okay? Weâll work it outâ
Kristinâs eyes lit up âWhat about kids? Will thake grandchildren to dote on?
Jason was blunt. âNo kids Kristin exploded, swatting at him with a feather duster âSay that again!â
Meanwhile, in Estrellaâs room After Kristin dragged Jason away, Autumn started sobbing âWhy did you have to be so impatient? Why did you agree to this?â
Estrella, feeling a headache said wearily. Mom, please. Itâs too early for a flood of tears And besides, itâs not like thereâs a shortage of guys out there. What are you worried about?â
After saying it, she handed her mom a tissue, who accepted it but cried harder. âYou forgetful child. Have you forgotten what the fortune-teller said? Do you want to end your lineage?
Estrella remained silent, prompting Autumn to hdd, âEven if Jason has a wandering eye, women have to share the blame for not keeping our husbands close.â
Estrella scoffed. âYou blame yourself more than anyone else.â
Autumn, drying her tears, asked, âWhat did you say?â
Estrella deflected. 1 said itâs my fault, for not keeping your son-in-law close to my heart.â Deep down she was relieved her father wasnât fooling around, or sheâd be unsure whom to call âMomâ, Without arguing. Autumn continued, âWe canât solely blame you. Jason has his faults, and so do those other women.â
Estrella admitted, âIâm not at fault here.â
Ignoring Estrellaâs comment, Autumn insisted, To keep a manâs heart, a woman should bear his child. Otherwise, heâll always be restless.â
Estrella couldnât agree. Her child would be for herself, not for anyone else.
Silence from Estrella prompted Autumn to probe, âWhy arenât you speaking?â
Estrella conceded. âYouâre right.â
Autumn, now serious, revealed, âI came here to lay it out for you. Forget about divorce. Your father and I will never approve of it.
He said, no matter how tough it gets, you have to have a child. What will you do when weâre gone? You canât be left alone.â
Estrella relented, âFine, Iâll have a child.â
Autumn, wiping away the last of her tears, made Estrella promise, âYou said it yourself. Donât go back on your word.â
Estrella touched her temple, affirming, âI promised.â
Autumn, still doubtful, urged, âYour fatherâs stressed with company issues. Donât distract him further.â
Estrella straightened up, âWhatâs happening to the company?â Her familyâs wealth was not to be trifled with; it was her future security.
Autumn disclosed, âItâs something to do with the Lamont family. So, no more troubles for your father.â
Estrella nodded, âUnderstood.â
Satisfied, Autumn said, âAs long as you prioritize and reduce the friction with Jason, things will be better.â
Estrella agreed, âIâll try.â
Later, Autumn left to check on Jason. Exiting the room, they ran into Kristin and Jason, 2/3 12:48 Chapter 39 and the latter still h had the marks from the feather duster on his face.
Kristin approached with a smile, âAutumn, have you finished the heart-to-heart?â
âYes, I gave her a thorough talking to,â Autumn replied.
Kristin took Estrella by the arm, comforting her âIâve just given Jason a piece of my mind. Serene has left, and Iâve had everything in the house changed. If it still bothers you, weâll move.â
Estrella yawned, âI didnât even change my husband. No need to change the house.â
Kristin cooed, âWhatever you want. Weâll do it your way.â
As Estrella ignored Jason, Autumn nudged her. âEstrella, Jasonâs looking at you. Say something to him.â
Estrella winced as she felt a jab. Her gaze swiftly rose to meet Jasonâs eyes. There was a fleeting moment of charged silence as their eyes locked. Jasonâs face, marked with the distinct imprint of a feather duster, brought a smug sense of satisfaction tolla With her hands casually buried in the pockets of her pajamas, she watched Jason with a Tanguid air and said, âSo, last night you touched my boobs with your hands. Time to pay 100 up.â
After Estrellaâs remark, Kristin and Autumn were initially taken aback, and then their faces flushed a deep shade of crimson.
