Chapter 86
30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)
Chapter 86 Jason flung Estrellaâs shawl back at her. His voice was laced with frustration. âEstrella, are you that desperate for sex? Itâs only been a short while and youâre already running to Korey?â
Estrella strolled over to the dresser in the suite, casually removing her ring and watch. âIf I donât seek him out, should I seek you?
Besides, if I came to you, would you even be welcoming?â
With a few nonchalant words, Estrella left Jason speechless.
Turning around to face him, she noticed Jasonâs brooding gaze. âSee? You wouldnât let me come to you, so at least let me find some comfort in another man. Otherwise, a girl might age before her time.â
Jason, with his temper flaring again, yanked off his tie and threw it onto the bed. âFine, if youâre s so in need of a man, Iâll satisfy you.â After saying that, he strode over, scooped Estrella up, and tossed her onto the bed.
Estrella, thrown onto the bed with such force, propped herself up on her arms and stared at him. âIf you donât mind the blood, then I might as well lie back and enjoy!â
Jason chuckled darkly. âYouâre on your period every day now?â
twas She had used the same excuse last time they went to Silverbrook, claiming it was inconvenient because of her period. It hadnât been that long, and here she was using it again.
Seeing Jason didnât believe her, Estrella propped a pillow under herself and lay in a sultry pose. âItâs just the longing for a man.â
She wouldnât mention Jasonâs indiscretions with others. Estrella had her own ways to deal with him.
Their banter escalated until Jason had her pinned down, and their fingers were interlocked. Estrella struggled instinctively but didnât manage to push Jason away. It was only when he started kissing her, peeling off her clothes, that she blurted out, âSuddenly, you are not attractive for me anymore. If I were a man, Iâd definitely have trouble getting it up.â
This was like dousing Jasonâs anger with ice water. He knew Estrella didnât want him to touch her. Since she had proposed divorce, she wasnât as sincere in her approach.
anymore.
Estrellaâs words were deliberately provocative. After a long, hard look into her eyes and finding no desire, Jason got up, dressed, grabbed his suit jacket, and left the suite without looking back.
1/3 11:33 M опе Left alone, Estrella exhaled deeply, pushed her hair back, and went to the bathroom. She had lost all patience with Jason, especially after he had stood up for Serene. She had her pride.
At the bar, Jasonâs mood was no better as he drank with Grayson.
âYou wanna talk about it?â Grayson asked after a few rounds.
Jason took another sip before speaking, âGrayson, what does it mean when a woman doesnât even want you to touch her, and shows no desire when she sees you?â
Grayson didnât sugarcoat his response. âSheâs not into you. When a woman doesnât feel it for a man, thereâs just no spark.â
Jason felt the sting of truth. Estrella had said that she felt nothing when he kissed her, and that if she had been a man, she wouldnât have been able to get it up.
He drowned himself in another gulp of liquor.
Grayson tried to lighten the mood. âMaybe itâs just a phase. If she used to be close and suddenly goes cold, it could be sheâs just upset.â
Jason preferred this explanation.
Grayson continued, âYouâve been married over two years. Youâve taken Estrella for granted, and everyone has their limits. You keep pushing her away, so sheâll grow cold. Sheâs not after your fame or fortune. She doesnât need to pamper you.â
Jason bristled at this. âYou only see the times she comes to me, not when sheâs defiant. Just last time I tried to kiss her, I got slapped so hard that my face was marked for days.â
Grayson chuckled. âYou mustâve really upset her. Usually, she canât get enough of you. Take today, for instance. You knew sheâd be here, yet you brought Serene along with that necklace you gave her. If you get upset over her merely chatting with Liangzhou, how do you think she would feel? Seeing you give such an expensive necklace to another woman and keep her within armâs reach all day, she must be heartbroken.â
Jason fell silent. He had intended the necklace for Estrella, but after she ignored his pills and threw away his breakfast, he gave it to Serene in a fit of pique.
If Estrella was bothered by Serene, she couldâve just told him. Over their two-year marriage, he disliked her indifference and tolerance, which only changed when his mother pressured her.
Grayson, seeing Jasonâs silence, added, âYou think Estrella married you because of some fortune-tellersâ words, right? Any other woman wouldâve tested the waters with other men before coming to you. But Estrella never did. So, her being with you isnât just about prophecies.â
Graysonâs pep talk fell on deaf ears as Jason remained unmoved. His thoughts were a jumbled mess. There was so much they didnât understand.
2/3 11:33 âAlright, enough with the sulking and the solitary drinking,â Grayson said with a firm yet friendly tone. âIf you really want to make things right and keep Estrella by your side, you better charm her pronto. A little sweet talking usually does the trick. Drag your feet, and youâre asking for a bigger mess.â
With those words, Jason took a final swig of his drink, stood up with a newfound resolve, and said, âIâm heading back. You should hit the hay soon too.â
âSure thing, Iâll hang back a bit longer,â Grayson replied, sensing Jason might be off to make amends with Estrella. He chose not to accompany him, giving his friend some space.
In the elevator, Jasonâs hands were buried in his pockets, and Graysonâs advice echoed in his head, unshakable.
The elevator dinged. The doors slid open. As Jason reached the corridorâs fork, he paused. Initially, he meant to take a left towards his own room, but after a momentâs hesitation, he veered right instead.
