Chapter 17

"Okay this time, everyone smile until that flash turns on please?"

Jimin hyung whined again. It's been about three months and we were at Jin and Joon hyungs graduation. Yoongi hyungs graduation was already done and this was like the last moment for all of us to be together again... in school that is. We have a good two weeks until Joon hyung has to start his internship at a law firm really close to our school, which I am excited about.

Jin hyung couldn't get in the same place as Joon hyung sadly. Even though he'll be a bit further from us, we promised to visit each other. They have agreed to spend the next couple of days at my house as well as Mom's been wanting to treat them.

"Hey Jimin, want me to take it instead?" An-na asked. Joon hyung and her have been together these past couple of months and they're really cute together. She was in her graduation attire as well with her parents standing relatively far back watching her fondly. She was pretty, relatively tall, with her beautiful long hair that perfectly framed her tan face. Her and Joon hyung together was quite the couple, their parents thought so too.

"But I got the dang stand thingy for this, but yeah..." Jimin hyung sighed giving up

She giggled and took the phone from him happily; "Okay ready? Say cheese!"

"Cheeseeee!" we all screamed out

We heard laughter and saw Jin and Joon hyungs parents laughing at us now too. I am glad they enjoyed the mess of us trying to take a picture together.

"Okay let me take one alone with Jin and Joon hyung please!" I proclaimed

"Come here Kookie!" Joon hyung held his arm that was in between Jin hyung and him for me to come to.

I went happily as I hugged both of them standing in the middle.

"Okay ready? Say cheese!" An-na said again

"Damn, Kooks with his parents!" Hobi hyung said, as An-na turned around to give him a look, "Sorry didn't realize you were there! I meant that in a straight way, not gay at all!" he said quickly trying to save face as she suddenly burst out laughing

"I wasn't gonna yell at you about it! I just had a look of realization that they really do act like his parents!"

"Okay babe!" Joon hyung said embarrassingly taking the phone from her to look at the picture

"Don't be embarrassed Joonjoon, I think you're super sweet to him!" she assured

"Do you want me to take a picture of you two?" Jin hyung asked smiling at the couple, "I mean it's the least I can do as the ex wife!"

"Hyung!" Joon hyung whined

"Okay stop being a baby hubby, go and stand with your possible new wife!"

Joon hyung glared at him while An-na smiled shyly. She's cute and she really seems to like him.

We were on our way to Busan, to my parents house. I asked Mom if it was okay for us to come over to get away and celebrate our hyungs that graduated.

Jin and Joon hyung will meet us tomorrow night after sending their parents off. We wanted Yoongi hyung to be completely distracted as his parents didnt come, and he didnt invite them. We were all he had, and he always will.

We were on our way to a much needed break. With all the studying (and kissing... anyways) that went on I was able to finish most of my classes with A's and B's. Tae hyung got all B's which he still hasn't stopped complaining about, but I told him that I was super proud of how hard he's worked.

His mom also called me to thank me, telling me whatever method I was doing to help him study was working as he's never been that great at school. I guess he did mention it was all thanks to me. I just didn't have the heart to tell her I gave him kisses to make him study better, but you're welcome?

I realized it wasn't that Tae hyung didn't care about school, it was that he was bad at studying and retaining things- he just needed an extra push. We also talked to our counselors and decided to retake two class that we got D's in over the summer.. more of an excuse to still be together and stay in our dorms. When we come back I get to move into his dorm which was exciting.

He was leaning on my shoulder now softly sleeping as Jimin hyung drove the car. Yoongi hyung was in the front with him as Hobi hyung who was talking all this time was starting to get quiet and doze off. We were going in my car that I rarely used, and I was driving for a good 2 hours until Jimin hyung decided to take over. I like being in the back seat more I guess and not because of the man that hasn't stopped cuddling with me since I got back here.  We are almost home now and I could feel Tae hyung starting to wake up on me.

"Good morning!" I whispered

I got a big stretch as an answer as I moved my head so I don't get hit by his long arms.

"My back hurts!" he complained

"Well sit up, you've been leaning on me for almost two hours now!"

"But, I don't wanna get off you!"

"Oh stop being so cute! Do you want me to rub it?"

"Can y'all shut the hell up! I almost crashed this car!" Jimin hyung complained as I heard Yoongi hyung snicker next to him, "No hyung! Do you hear them! My back hurts, don't worry I'll kiss it better!" the car was filled with the exaggerated kissing sounds he was making.

"Jiminnie, one day it'll happen for you!" Yoongi hyung assured him

"Who hyung? I don't see anyone! Oh well lets get drunk these next few days... I don't wanna be sober not even a little bit!"

"Jungkook? Did you say we were staying at your guest house?"

"Yeah I asked if we could! Just so we'd be alone and it'll be more free! Mom said to have dinner with them but she understood with us being boys!" I exclaimed, "Especially with the whole getting drunk thing!" I giggled causing Tae hyung to giggle with me

"That's more of a Jimin, Joon hyung problem! Those two are crazy when they're drunk!" Tae hyung added

"Just cause you're a little bitch and don't drink alcohol, you wanna judge! I am so fun when I am drunk!" Jimin hyung proclaimed

"Hyung its right here!" I added

I heard gasps from the hyungs in the front as we pulled up to the gate. Jimin hyung rolled the window down, "Aunty its us!" he proclaimed

"Ah Jimin- ah! Come in!" Mom's voice echoed through the intercom

The gates opened.

"Damn Kook, you need to be a bit more stuck up with how big this dang house is! I always forget how rich this kid is!" Yoongi hyung proclaimed

I don't want to though! I know what that would make me, and that frankly wasn't the way I was raised."

"Hey kids!" my Mom came running out of the front door. She somehow looked thinner. I ran to her hugging her tightly.

"Oh my Jungkookie! You've gotten so tall and big! You're like a man now! Oh man you are so muscular stop, it don't match your cute little face!" She said pinching my cheeks

"Mommm!" I whined trying to force her to stop

"Oh hi honey!" she said hugging Taehyung hyung! And went over to Jimin then Yoongi hyung and giving the biggest hug to Hobi hyung who she absolutely adored! I love that she loves all my hyungs

"Come in! You boys look ready to eat!" she said dragging me by the arms, telling the hyungs to follow. I nodded them along and they all had a smile in their faces. I guess they like her too.

"Okay Yoongi! I know your parents didn't come, but I told you to see me as your parent right? Aunty got you a small little graduation gift." Mom said handing Yoongi a card.

They were sitting next to each other on the couch. We just finished dinner which was way too much food. She was cutting fruits for all of us to eat.

"What? I didn't need you to get me anything, this was not needed aunty!"

"Oh just open it!" Mom said pestering hyung now

He smiled at her and opened the card, which instantly got his eyes wide. "Oh no!" he exclaimed, "this is too much money!"

"No, no! I know you've been wanting equipment for music. Jungkook's dad looked into how much it'll all be and we wanted you to get what you wanted obviously. Let me know if it cost more okay?"

"No, I can't accept this aunty! I am sorry!"

"No! It's your's honey! Remember what I said? I want you to consider me your mom too, consider it a gift from mom!" she put her hands on his causing his eyes to water. I have never seen him to emotional.

His lips quivered, "Thank you Aunty! I appreciate you and uncle...j-just this is so much!"

"Don't be silly! You are gonna be great! One of the best! I know it!" she said wiping tears that was falling down his face off.. " You too Hobi, you're gonna be the best too!" she shot a smile then winked at Hobi hyung who was already smiling widely at her.

I looked at Tae hyung who was smiling at my mom with so much admiration. My heart quivered at the sight because I care about how much he liked her.

"Okay, well enough of that! Aunty is getting tired, and need to head to bed! I made sure the guest house is cleaned for you boys, and it is filled with food and drinks... all drinks I know you all! Just come here in the morning okay? We have breakfast being made here anyways!"

"Thanks Mom! When is Dad coming home?" I asked

"Oh who knows, he's supposed to be gone for a week!" she said sounding tired, "anyways I am going to bed now. Jungkook's brother and sister still have school this week before their break so I will have to get up with them!"

"Okay aunty rest well!"

"Goodnight!"

"You're the best Aunty, we love you!"

Admiration for my mom filled all around, as she was walking away waving bye to us smiling brightly.

"Dude I love your Mom!" Jimin hyung said

"Me too!" I said excitedly, "Okay let's walk to the guest house and get this party started! It's so nice out!" It was just right next to our house, it's basically for Dad's clients to stay over or any guests, and since I've been in college for the hyungs and I.

Thankfully my parents adored my hyungs and didn't mind.

"Kook!" Tae hyung put his arm around me as we were walking

"Huh?"

"I can see where you get your personality from? The whole I am super humble, sweet, and care for everyone I love personality."

"I didn't know I had that personality!" I said shyly

"You definitely do! One of the many things I love about you!" he said making me blush softly, "You got that from your mom for sure. She's so sweet to Yoongi hyung, and she knows why he don't talk to his parents! It just makes it feel like she may be okay with us?"

"Maybe...." I trailed off

"I am not saying we should tell her now at all! I said I have a good feeling about her!" he smiled rubbing his forehead against mine making me smile again

"Kook!" I heard screams from Hobi and Jimin hyung as they ran past us into the beach house, screaming like maniacs for no reason at all. They must be racing to see who gets there first.

"Nope, I told y'all I don't run!" Yoongi hyung said slowly walking behind them

Tae hyung and I watched until we saw Yoongi hyung catch up as we didnt want to leave him too far behind.

"Now how sound proof are these walls?" Tae hyung asked

"I can hear you!" Yoongi hyung whined

"But I whispered it to him!"

"Whisper better sick nasties! JIMIN I WON'T SLEEP NEXT TO THEM!" he yelled walking in

"You couldn't have waited till he left?" I asked rolling my eyes at him

"It slipped out!" Tae hyung said acting innocent

"Jungkook clutched onto my dress so hard I thought it would tear off. I didn't realize how strong my little baby was. I was hoping he grew out of the shyness by the time school started but man he was really a homebody and I couldn't get him to interact or make friends with anyone." mom loved telling stories especially about me and how shy I used to be before I met the hyung's.

We were all sitting around the dining table to eat the breakfast she made. I felt my head hurt and I knew the hyungs felt the slight irritation too even though we drank very little last night.

I hated hearing her talk about my horrid past but it was nice to see her eyes gleaming, as if she was proud of the person I was today.

See, I remember the day she talked about like it was yesterday. Dad was exactly how he is today... busy. The only person I had ever known was my mom. My little sister is about five years younger than me, my little brother seven - so they weren't even born on that first day of school. It had always been just mom and me. I hated the thought of being somewhere where my mom wasn't.Being a creature of habit even back then I hated change.

I went back to a time where my mom was my only best friend, I told her everything, and anything that went on in my day. I wondered when that all stopped, possibly when college started and all she did was remind me I had to take over for my dad.

A selfish part of me wondered if she wanted to use me to get her husband back.

Did she have me to throw me into the hell hole he is in so she can have him back, the husband she married and fell in love with - not the husband that succeeded in his business endeavors but the poor good for nothing man that her parents didn't approve of, the one she once fell in love with.

I obviously didn't think like that anymore, absolutely not.

That was a hard time when college first started -  when I shut everyone out and wondered if that was why they sent me so far away from home.

Wondered if she was finally sick of me.

The person I am now wondered just how much she cried after dropping me off. She always hid it well, her sadness. My mom who looked so young then, looks so tired now. I felt the guilt rising again, I had been a horrible son. I tried not to call her as much because I was sick of the nagging and the constant reminders - I was selfish. I don't think I once asked mom how she was really doing. If her and dad are okay, if her heart was okay.

"You were my best friend mom, I didn't want you leaving me!" I finally said

She smiled, eyes gleaming at me. "Of course! You think I wanted to leave you? You were my best friend too. You guys should have heard how he cried that day, oh goodness I thought I was gonna cry with him - but of course I had to be the strong adult." she looked smiling at me again, "look at him being crazy with all of you guys!"

"Aunty, he talks to other people better these days too! You don't have to worry about him anymore!" Taehyung hyung said

"Oh Taehyung I have only you to thank for that too! I know how hard you had to work to get him out of his shell!"

"Oh aunty!" he said waving his hand in a no motion, trying to look humble but failing miserably -I heard myself chuckling at that. "I didn't do anything at all, it's really nothing!" I heard a laughter coming from Hobi hyung, a cute quiet Jimin hyung followed him snickering at how sarcastic Tae hyung was being

"Oh no need to be humble honey, I know you worked hard! Now only if you can teach him to talk to some pretty girls! I keep telling him I want him to date."

The laugher in the background abruptly died down, and the room was filled with silence. I saw the smile slowly fade from his face as he quickly tried to hide it, throwing on his big boxy smile again, "Of course Aunty, I am no good in that area either but sure I can try!"

"Oh someone so cute like yourself isn't good with talking to girls? I find that hard to believe!"

Tae hyung threw a shy smile at her, slowly bring his head back to his bowl to go back to eating his soup.

"Um, yeah aunty! I'm the one that's good at talking to girls so I definelty will be helping Kooks with that!" Jimin hyung added in filling the silence.

"I don't want him to be as good as you Jiminie!" mom added causing Yoongi and Hobi hyung to fight their laughter as Jimin Hyung glared at them.

I didn't realize how blank my expression had been for the whole thing. "Okay Mom, that's enough. Told you I'll date when I am ready."

"Okay but you've been saying that since you were 16 baby, when are you gonna be ready?" You'll be 20 in a few months!"

I stayed quiet and stuffed rice down my throat.

"You know, Mom wants you to marry a pretty girl, give me lots of grand babies and just be so happy. I want that! Date baby! Is there someone you like?"

"Someone?" I asked in between chewing

"Yes, some girl? Is there any cute girls at school? What do you think Tae? Any cute girls in any of your classes?"

"Ah," Taehyungs head shot up in surprise, "no aunty! Not that I saw." I could hear him fake his enthusiasm now to my moms questions

"Well I am done eating." Yoongi hyung said stopping the conversation, "Thank you aunty for the meal. I need to go take a shower now before all the fun things were gonna do today."

"Me too!" Hobi hyung said joining him gladly and Jimin hyung who got up nodding even though he looked like he wasn't done.

I kept stuffing rice down my mouth without realizing, blanking out. I felt Tae hyungs hand on my back as he too got up, leaving after bowing to my mom.

"Baby! Eat side dishes too!" mom reminded me

"Why did you say girl so many times?" I mumbled

"What was that?" she asked still smiling as she put a slice of kimichi on my spoon

"Nothing..."
