Chapter 25

"Jungkook, I can close this one right?" Jimin hyung was asking

"Yes, thank you! I think I am done with this box too so I will take the tape after you!"

He nodded. We were finishing up the last of the packing in our basically empty dorm room. Most of the stuff was loaded in the moving truck, and we had last couple of boxes that needed to be packed.

Joon hyung and Jin hyung were stuck at work, which was understandable. We were all dressed comfortably and I haven't seen the rest of the hyungs dressed down in a while so it was nice to see.

"Did Tae's parents leave by the way?" he asked while ripping out a big piece of tape

"We told them they can leave today, but they wanted to be there tomorrow to help us unpack and settle."

"His Dad's adorable, isn't he?" Jimin hyung let out a cute giggle. The hyungs all became really fond of uncle especially with how great he was dealing with something so new.

"Yeah, he really is. I told him the hotel was too expensive so just come stay in our apartment tonight but he refused."

"Y'all don't even have a bed yet! How are you gonna have him sleep there? Kook don't tell me the floor?" he stopped mid way taping the cardboard box shut.

"Bed? They don't have anything yet!" Yoongi hyung came back inside now, wiping off the slight sweat he had dripping on his face. "Just an empty apartment, and clothes!"

"What? We're starting from the bottom! Work starts on Wednesday, and we will fill everything in soon! Besides we have our small little bed from here, what more do we need? Tae and I can sleep on the floor and they can sleep on the bed."

Yoongi hyung let out a smirk at that, "You know that's admirable! Your mom said you wouldn't take money from her either! And he refused to take anything that he brought with his dads money. That's awesome Kook!"

"Really Kook?" Jimin hyung gasped, "But why would you say no to free money?" he got up off the floor after finishing taping the box shut

"Cause I didn't work for it. No more free money hyung!" I turned back to the kitchen to make sure we took everything that was ours.

"Oh these rich boys!" Jimin hyung mocked jokingly

"Kook you get everything?" Hobi hyung asked coming in now

"Yeah just these three boxes here. Let me go in the bathroom and bedroom to check again."

"I'll check it Kook!" Jimin hyung said jogging back to the darkened hallway

"Have you seen Tae by the way? Why didn't he come up with you?" I asked looking at Hobi and Yoongi hyung now

"No, I haven't. I thought he came back here?" Hobi hyung looked at Yoongi hyung questionably

"Yeah I don't know, he disappeared. Want me to call him?" Yoongi hyung asked sitting down on the floor, letting his legs stretch out.

"Hey Kook! Did you forget to pack this diary?" Jimin hyung yelled from the hall before I could answer

"What diary?" I turned around to meet him

"This one! Isn't it the one Tae gave you on your one month anniversary? You don't wanna forget that!" he pooped out of the hall that was no longer covering him

"Oh! I swear I packed that! Where did you find that?"

"It was just sitting there in your bathroom counter!" he handed the diary to me as I reached my hands for it

"Did Tae leave it there?" I questioned looking at it

"I don't know! I would just read the recent note on there just to be safe." Yoongi hyung said with that smirk that he has when he's hiding something

"What? What do you mean? What do you guys know that I don't?"

"Nothing! He was just suggesting probably!" Jimin hyung furrowed his eyebrows at Yoongi hyung who was still snickering.

"Okay?" I questioned and begin to open the diary. As I was turning the pages I could see Jimin hyung do his little run back to where Hobi and Yoongi hyung were. I looked up mid turn, and froze at their reactions. They were smiling and waiting. "What the hell guys?"

"Just read it boy!" Hobi hyung said sitting down with Yoongi hyung hitting his shoulders slightly with excitement

I begin to turn again and stopped. This was a new page? I haven't read this one before. When did he write this poem? I thought he didn't write in the diary after giving it to me? "When did he write this?" I asked aloud

"I don't know!" Jimin hyung sang

I rolled my eyes at him and begin to read:

"My dear Jungkookie,

I wanted to tell you a little story. There once was a boy who was scared to leave his family behind to come to college. It was a new city, with new people. He wasn't very good at the whole studying thing anyways, and he thought he'd be more useful to his parents working 50 different part time jobs than spending the money they didn't have for school. Yet somehow, he let them force him into this unfamiliar life. He walked into the dorm and campus in those days, unknowing of whats coming next.

He walked into his first class, sad and inexperienced. It was all so new, and scary. Then he saw a boy hiding in the corner of the class looking equally as scared. His eyes were so big and round for his small face, he looked around as if he were a lost puppy, he sighed and looked down as if he had lost all hope. So this boy thought, 'Hey I should be friends with him. Maybe if we're together I won't be scared anymore.'

I am so glad that boy was smart enough to do one thing, to come and talk to you Kook. You were the shyest person I have ever met. There was really no one like you. I have never seen anyone just give me a blank stare then look back down when I told them hi. I cleared my throat regardless, even though it was embarrassing, and kept talking to you. I told you my name, and asked for yours - again nothing! I asked how you were doing and where you were from, and you just put your head down and stared at your phone. I was lucky the teacher walked in just then.

I didn't know if I liked a challenge or if I just couldn't stop thinking about you, but I tried again the next day, then the next, and the day after that.  I sat right next to you, asking everyday how you were doing, and if you wanted to get food after class, only to be rejected every time, with a simple head shaking no. You can imagine how I almost choked when you finally said 'Hi' to me when I walked in before I could say it to you - you remember that day? Cause I can never forget!

Looking back I don't understand how that quiet shy boy became my Jungkook. My Jungkook who's so effortlessly funny, macho, and cute all at the same time - don't forget my muscle monster.  We did such crazy things together when we first started getting close. Ditching class, getting in trouble for ditching class, sneaking out of the dorm, drinking coffee I didn't like, sneaking alcohol even though we weren't supposed to. We became friends with all our hyungs, oh man they made it even better. As the days went by it got easier not missing home anymore, it got easier not missing my parents anymore, it got easier not missing my siblings anymore, it all became so easy. That was most definitely because I found my home right here, next to you.

There was a time in one of our movie marathons where we fell asleep together on the floor. When I woke up I found you snuggled against me. Even though I wasn't used to being cuddled like that, I didn't freak out. Instead I couldn't help but admire the boy snuggled up against my chest. I remember sitting up slightly, balancing myself on my elbows, and just looking at you. From the slight light from the TV hitting your face just right, and the sunshine creeping in from the curtains , I could only see one thing - how beautiful you were."

I stopped reading and sighed out loud in awe. I don't think I have heard of this story. I was openly starting to be very emotional now. I couldn't help it. I just felt like I knew where this was going. I decided to keep reading to find out.

"That was the first time it happened, my heart leaped out of my chest. Then you would do things like; wipe my face, grab my hands unconsciously to lead me somewhere, you would laugh at my craziness, you would wait for me to go everywhere. There were times where you would just stare at me while I talked giving me all your attention with that cute face of yours, I would immediately stutter and start sweating a bit. I don't think you realized how I grew to like you more and more every time you were just being your caring self.  - I thought I was having a heart attack or something every time you did anything Kook!

When you kissed me that day, oh that day, I really could not believe it.

I couldn't even believe the fact that I had a crush on a boy and even more so that he actually liked me back?

And crazy of all, that boy was my best friend?

Jungkook, you liked me back? I didn't think I even deserved you.

Although I feel like I should sue you for almost giving me a heart attack multiples times and stomach aches that could have been pretty severe. Or was that just my heart beating out of my chest and my stomach being filled with butterflies. Was that dumb? "

I stopped reading to laugh at that, blinking away the ocean that was now falling out of my eyes. He's so dumb some times. I quickly wiped my eyes with the back of my hand to keep reading.

"These past few years have been amazing. All you've given me were good days, even on the bad ones. I don't get sick of you ever, and I could stare at that beautiful face all day along. (And body but I am trying to be romantic here) And in case you haven't noticed I am so fucking in love with you.  Kook, I wanted to tell our parents knowing they might hate us because of you. If they hate me, I knew I had you. My home was always with me so why worry?

I wanted to ask you something love. Come meet me in at our coffee house, for one last cup of coffee that I probably won't drink."

"What? Is that all?" I asked aloud trying to flip through the rest of the empty pages of the diary.

"It seems so! Do we want to go to the coffee shop to see what the hell he's talking about?" Yoongi hyung asked finally standing up, followed by Hobi hyung

"Oh my little baby!" Jimin hyung said cutely as he ran to me to hug me, "Stop crying huh!" he wiped my tears with the sleeves of his shirt.

"Lets go Jungkookie?"

I nodded in a daze as I felt Hobi hyungs arm safety wrap around me, as I rested my exhausted head on him. I heard Yoongi and Jimin hyung giggle in the background as they followed us.

When we got the coffee shop Joon and Jin hyung were waiting for us, looking dashing in their suits. I suddenly became very aware that I was super underdressed in my basketball shorts and sweatshirt.

"Hello my little Prince! Please go inside!" Jin hyung said trying to sound mature and adult like all of the sudden which made me giggle.

"I thought you two had work today?" I asked confused

"Shut up and go in!" he said in the same mature way

"Good luck Kookie! I am so proud of you!" Joon hyung said being as father like as always. He smiled brightly letting his dimples greet me

"For wha-"

Before I could finish those two grabbed both sides of the handles of the door leading into the coffeeshop and opened it for me. I gasped in owe.

"Oh my god! It looks like... looks like..."

"Our one month anniversary?" the boy behind the door appeared in front of me, dressed in the black suit I got him, looking as dashing as ever.

"Come here!" he held out his hand for me to take

"Oh my God!" I gulped in nervousness. Was I right? Was this what I thought it was

"I can't! I literally can't!" I heard Jin hyung cry in the background as Joon hyung quickly closed the doors so it was just us in the shop, covered in beautiful Christmas lights.

"When did you do all this?"

"I got some help! Anything for my love!" he gleamed smiling at me

I took his hands finally, being a little shaky as he lead me to the center of the coffee house. There was bright, pretty lights covering the entire shop, and I kept looking at it admiring its beauty. I couldn't help as my eyes always came back to my handsome man in the suit.

"Okay my love! I am a little nervous, hope you don't mind. Since you beat me at confessing, I knew I had to beat you at this.."

"What Tae?" I asked smiling, knowing exactly what

"My Jungkookie, I wish I could have known you all my life, but I am glad you're here now. And from now on, I want to know you forever. From the broke old me now to when I am rich one day, I'll figure it out." this made me snicker,  "I want a cute wedding ceremony, I want  a house full of kids, or dogs, preferably both! Most of all I want to wake up everyday calling you my husband!"

"Oh my God!" I screeched

"Jeon Jungkook?" he got on one knee, I was frozen now eyes wide waiting for those words, "Will you marry me?"

"Oh my God! Is that even a question? Of course I will marry you Tae!" I screamed about three octaves higher than my normal voice. He got back up to grab my face taking my lips in his.

"I am sorry I don't have that ring for you yet love!"

"I don't care about that! You asked, that's all I ever wanted! Of course I'll marry you!"

He smiled that big boxy smile of his as he rested his forehead in mine. "I mean I knew you'd say yes but asking was scary!"

"I know baby!" I hugged him tight, "But you're so freaking romantic do you know that! To write all those nice things, recreating our anniversary surprise, oh man! I am so lucky!" I pecked again

"Did they finish? Do you hear anything?" We heard Jin say outside

"Come in!" Taehyung yelled

"See you're freaking loud as hell hyung!" I could hear Yoongi hyung complain as they opened the

"Did we ruin the moment?" Joon hyung asked sneaking his head in

"No! No! We are done!" Tae hyung said as he grabbed my waist holding me close to him. He place a peck on the temple of my forehead making me blush while doing so.

"So we made it on time?" Tae hyungs Mom and Dad peaked out from behind the hyungs causing me to gasp even louder.

"YES! Of course you made it on time because I SAID YES!" I screamed, followed by loud cheers of all the hyungs running and hugging us, almost making us fall a couple of times. They respectfully moved for Taes parents who ran to us to hug us both nice and tight.

"There! Now I have another cute son!" his mom gleamed giving a kiss on the cheek

I smiled in excitement, and I heard a very loud "Jungkook!"

"Mom?" I looked around

"Here,here!" Jin hyung handed me his phone

"Mom!" I yelled

"Congratulations baby! I am so happy for my sons!"

"Oh my god, you told them Tae?" I looked at him who was still holding onto me

"Of course, I had to get permission. I- uh tried calling uncle and he didnt pick up, but I sent him a long text, so maybe one of these days?"

"Yeah, it's okay! I love you!" I smiled. I was okay, "Its like I already have a dad here so I really am okay!"

"No make it two Dads Kook!" Joon hyung said patting his chest to show that he was talking about himself. I laughed at the thought, so did Tae.

"Ooo, I like that Daddy!" Jin hyung exclaimed being extra and loud for everyone to hear.

Laughter filled the room. Screaming filled the room. I hope none of that ever goes away.

"That's all the boxes guys! We'll take the truck back, you two take it easy huh?" Joon hyung said hugging both of us

"Joon hyung! We don't know how to thank you! From the apartment to our jobs, and arranging everything so we can move out. I don't know how to ever repay you!" I said hugging him tightly. He patted my back slowly letting go.

"Hey! What are hyungs for huh? I want my little brothers to be the happiest." he hugged Tae hyung again

The other hyungs were behind him making their ways to hug us. Hobi hyung placed a kiss on both our heads, Jimin hyung slapped our butts and same with Jin hyung as they hugged us tight, Yoongi hyung smiled extra gummy holding us both tightly before heading out.

"Bye!" They all shouted as they walked out the hallway of our new apartment

"Wow! This is it huh?" Tae said closing the door, "We are two adults!"

"I know!" I smiled

"You ready to do this thing? To start our lives literally from the bottom?" he asked making his way towards me. He pulled me in so there was no distance between us smiled against my lips, kissing me.

"Of course! Since I am with you, I know I can do it anything!" I kissed back

"You know Yoongi hyung was saying something about us the other day when I was planning the proposal and I thought it was cute!" he begin to say as he was slowly moving his body side to side, unable to stand still

I rested my hands on his neck now, moving side to side along with him. "Oh yeah? What's that?" I asked quietly even though it was just us two in the room now

"He said when we look at each other, our eyes are like always speaking to each other? That it's very obvious we're in love. Does that make sense?"

"Mhm."

"Yeah, he said I could be doing anything, and you'd look at me and your eyes gleam, like they shine. They only do that for me. He said even though my eyes say that I love you, yours was different. That there was this star that shines in your eye when you look at me, as if I was the only star for you." he giggled shyly, "Is that true?"

I could feel my face heat up at the sudden question. "I don't know? What are my eyes doing now?" I looked into his genuinely as he stared at mine.

"I do see that little star, I've always seen it so I never noticed it was only there for me."

I smiled big making sure he saw it, "I guess my eyes my eyes always did that for you then, huh?"

"Yeah! They did!" he smiled back

"I guess no matter how many stars are in the galaxy I only see one!" I said quietly again making sure heard still smiling

He kissed me taking my lips full on. Some times it felt like he was kissing me for the first time over and over again.

"Damn Jeon, your eyes are pretty loud there!"

"Are they?" I teased placing another kiss on his lips

"Mhm!" he nodded flashing his big boxy smile at me again, "I guess even if you don't say anything I can just look into those big eyes! Cause your eyes Jeon Jungkook, they always tell!"
