Ashlynn’s breathing stopped. She felt as though her heart had stopped beating.

The second line freaked her out, her face went pale.

She was pregnant... Her mind was a mess.

Why would she be pregnant? Was her contraception ineffective against time?

No way, she could not conceive Corentin’s child. She could not give birth to it!

She had to abort it. She had to...

The door was pushed, and Ashlynn froze.

The door would not be opened. Then came a knock.

"Who... Who's there?” Ashlynn asked.

“Is your stomach upset?” It was Corentin’s voice!

Ashlynn was shocked. “This... This is the ladies toilet. How did you get in?” she asked as she hid the

pregnancy test away.

“The Lloyd Group's office is my place. Do I need anyone else's permission to enter any space? Open

up.”

“I... 1 am not done yet.” Ashlynn tucked it into her clothes, and she then felt it unsafe. The pregnancy

test was long and hard. It would be hard for her to flush that away.

“Are you waiting for me to kick the door open?”

“No, don't... I will open up.” Ashlynn tried to throw the pregnancy test into the trash can, but she

realized there was not a single piece of paper in the trash can, as the janitor had just cleaned it.

What should she do?

Ashlynn had an idea. She stuffed the pregnancy test under the cubicle next door and then finally

opened it up.

Corentin stood outside of the door, his amber—colored eyes looking at her. “What took you so

long?”

Ashlynn walked out. “My stomach is a little unwell, now I am...” Before she could finish, she saw

Corentin walking to the next cubicle, her heart skipped a beat, but she steadied herself and asked,

"What are you doing?”

Corentin did not say anything, and his eyes scanned past everything.

He did not see anything, then came out.

"What are you looking for? I am only here for my toilet business. Now I am going back to work.”

Ashlynn turned and walked away.

Just when she took two steps forward, she felt Corentin pull open the next cubicle door.

She turned around in shock. She stood in the same spot, watching as Corentin picked up the thing

from the floor with her soul out of her body.

“What is this?” Corentin asked.

Ashlynn did not know how mentally strong she had to be to act calm, even though she knew that

she must have exposed herself, but she still suppressed her heart that was about to leap out of her

throat and said, “I don't know.”

“You don't know?” Corentin showed her the two red lines.

“It looks like... a pregnancy test?”

"Does that mean pregnant?” Corentin asked.

“I suppose... yes."

Corentin was suddenly thrilled. “You are pregnant!”

“Not me!” Ashlynn took one step back. “Someone used this cubicle before. It is next to mine. How

can it be mine...”

Corentin’s eyes squinted. He toyed with the pregnancy test in his hand and then looked at her while

pondering. “Then, should we ask the janitor?”

Ashlynn felt her body limp. Her body crashed right onto the sink. Her face was so pale that there

were no signs of blood as she breathed heavily.

Corentin walked forward, his body pressed downward slightly.” will definitely get you pregnant, just

like what I said.”

Ashlynn’s body and lips were all shivering. She let out a voice weakly because she knew that there

was no point for her to deny, “What did you... What did you do to me?”

“Do to you? The doctor said that your body is fine. It is perfectly normal for you to be pregnant.”

Ashlynn knew that she would not be pregnant because she had always been taking pills!

"Or, did you take contraceptive pills in secret?”

Ashlynn bit her lips and did not say anything.

"Since you are pregnant, I will bring you to the office for a check-up.” Corentin stood up.

“I don't want to go!” Ashlynn pushed him, then moved to the side. “Corentin, I will not give birth to

your child. Even if I am pregnant, I will abort it!"
