“Could it be that Ms. Chloe has already planned this?"

“It's not their plan. They probably improvised it,” Anthony said.

Charlie and Chris had already told him about their plan, and John was not in it.

“Find them as soon as possible,” Anthony ordered.

“Yes, Mr. Marwood!”

After Chloe answered the phone, she sat on the shore angrily, kicking her little feet in the water.

Her chubby legs were like buns.

John sat next to her, soaking his feet in the water and feeling that he was doomed.

The money was obviously hard to get, and the little girl beside him was angry.

“What should we do now?" John asked.

"Keep waiting,” Chloe said, “if Mama doesn't appear, I won't go back! So just play with me!”

John did not want to look after the child, and he only wanted to take the money under the bridge.

While Anthony was trying to find Chloe, Lucas was looking for Anne.

“You mean Mrs. Marwood? I don't know. I'm just a doctor. Mr. Marwood won't bring Mrs. Marwood

here unless needed,” Kathryn said.

There was a sharp luster in Lucas's eyes behind his glasses. “She couldn't have disappeared for no

reason. If you know anything, can’t you just tell me a little bit? The children are clamoring to see

their mom, and Anthony is being really despicable!”

Kathryn thought, “Mr. Newman is quite keen. He immediately guessed that Anne might be injured.”

Even so, she could not reveal anything.

After all, the conflict started because Anne contacted other men, which triggered Anthony's terrible

possessive desire.

“I really don't know,” Kathryn said helplessly, “and let me say something-If Mr. Marwood finds out

Lucas did not say anything and left.

When he reached the hospital entrance, he passed by Hayden of the Royal Mansion. Lucas did not

know Hayden, but he noticed the takeaway box in his hand.

This was not surprising as he was at the hospital, and it was normal to bring food for the patients.

Lucas got in the car and did not leave in time because he did not trust Kathryn.

He was convinced that something must have happened to Anne.

Kathryn's car was two cars away, and Lucas kept an eye on her car.

At half past ten, Lucas saw Kathryn, who had changed her casual attire, walk into the parking lot and

to her car.

She was even holding a takeaway box.

Lucas thought the takeaway box was familiar, and he could not help recalling the middle-aged man

carrying a similar one when he left the hospital.

Kathryn drove away, and Lucas started the car to follow her.

Not too close, not too far away, a distance that would not let him get caught.
