Chloe said, “I'm hungry. I want milk!"

"What milk? Isn't this food?” John hit the plates with the spoon.

He had already given her half of the food. What more did she want?

“There's meat, greens...” John thought it made sense as well. She was Anthony's child, so she

certainly had been having a feast every meal. She certainly would not fancy all these foods. She

could even tell that it was not tasty just by looking at it. Just make do with it a little!”

John had a headache. “Fine, fine, fine, I'll go get you some milk.”

He then went to buy a bottle of milk for her from the owner of the motel.

While Chloe drank the milk, she looked at John eating the food, and then she asked, ” Can you

stomach that?”

"A person can stomach anything when he’s hungry.”

The room was small and only had one bed.

John let Chloe sleep in the inner half of the bed to prevent her from falling off of it.

Just as they laid down, they heard a continuous sound coming from the room next door.

Chloe opened her mouth wide as she was curious. “What's that sound?”

John replied to her with annoyance, “Just sleep!”

“Is something big happening? That girl is screaming very pitifully!” Chloe asked curiously.

After a while, she asked again, “Will the girl die?”

John was annoyed by her questions and the people next door, so he directly carried

Chloe out of there. “Let's go, let's go. Let's go outside for a walk.”

The two of them, an adult and a child, sat on a hill and looked at the sky with their faces lifted.

"Wow, the stars are so pretty!” Chloe's pretty eyes were also as bright as the stars.

already started going to school. I wonder if he's asleep now or if he’s naughty and not listening to
