Chapter 1302

Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies

Chapter 1302

Someone else walked into the room and Anne opened her eyes to find Kathryn before her.

Anne closed her eyes again as Kathryn checked her body and her temperature. ” She's running a

fever. I will have her take some pills for now.”

Anthony fed her a pill and let her take a sip of water.

Kathryn shot one glance at Anne, before walking outside.

Ten minutes later, Anthony came out of the room and questioned, “Why would she run a fever? I

checked and she wasn't injured.”

“Her immune system is down,” Kathryn said, “Mr. Marwood, she is only made of flesh and she is

weak compared to you.”

One could tell how strong Anthony was from his looks alone and Kathryn advised,” You might want

to let her rest.”

Anthony's expression darkened and he turned to leave without another word.

Relieved, Kathryn went into the room and was shocked by how slim Anne looked underneath the

blanket.

"Anne?"

Anne opened her eyes and looked at Kathryn, before looking around the room.

“Mr. Marwood has gone downstairs.”

“I... want to call Lucas. I've decided to leave Luton and Anthony, forever...” She muttered through

quivering lips as tears scrolled down her cheeks.

"What about the kids?” Kathryn asked.

Devastation filled Anne's eyes as she sobbed. “Which do you think is better for the kids, me going

missing, or me getting killed by Anthony at some point?”

Kathryn was instantly rendered speechless, knowing which option was best by heart.

"Anthony is insane. Sooner or later, he's going to get me killed. I might as well leave, and my kids

would still have a mother...if I die, they will have no one...” Every breath Anne drew hurt as she

spoke.

"Are you sure?”

ess

"Alright. I will tell Lucas about this.”

“Thank you.”

Anne recovered from the fever after taking the medicine and after reminding Anne to rest more,

Kathryn left.

Once she had decided to leave, Anne felt much better.

She leaned on her pillow and stared outside the window, at the sky she longed for.

“Will I really manage to leave this time?" She thought. “Lucas will plan it right and take me away. I

need to see the kids before I leave, instead of being locked up here by that demon.’

Someone entered the room and she sensed Anthony's familiar, dangerous presence.

He placed his hand on her forehead to test her temperature and stared into her eyes. “You seem

better.”

“I'm hungry. I want to eat something,” she said weakly.

She had to get better to prepare for anything that came her way.

Just then, someone knocked on the door and Anthony commanded, “come in.”

The maid walked in with a tray filled with food for Anne.

Anthony took over and fed Anne, who obediently took every single sip until she finished the soup.

"What else do you want to eat?” He rubbed the food stain on her lips with his finger.

She leaned back and tilted her head to the side. “I'm full, but I feel better now.”

She glanced at Anthony, he looked ever so devilish under the lights and she knew that there was no

happy ending for her from the moment the demon before her set his sight on her. She had thought

that she could tolerate living by his side, only to learn that her tolerance merely allowed his actions

to escalate.

Silence fell over the two and they stared at one another awkwardly.

“Master, I miss the kids. Once I recover, can I come back to the Royal Mansion with you?” Anne

lowered her gaze. “As you can see, it's not that I want to reject you. I'm just too weak. Besides, I will

do whatever you want me to do once we get back to the Royal Mansion, okay?”

She reached out and grabbed one of Anthony's fingers pleadingly.

"And you won't fight back again? You won't plead for mercy for another man?” He stared at her

sharply.

“I won't. I've thought things through. What happened to Lucas was his fate. To me, family means the

most,” she said, “I can't let an outsider get between us, especially when we have three children

together...”

He bent down, his shadow looming over Anne, as he tilted her chin up and stared into her eyes.

“Really?”

“Really.”

"And you figure all that out just because you got sick?”

Not daring to risk having him see through her lies, she lowered her gaze and planted a brief kiss on

Anthony's lips, before backing away slightly. “I know that you and the kids are the only family I have

now. Don't leave me..."

She buried her head into the crook of his neck and rubbed her nose against his skin helplessly.

He swallowed hard as he reached for her waist and pulled her closer. “Remember what happens

when you disobey. Hm?"

She could not help but tremble and whimpered. “Yeah. Master, have you eaten?”

"No."

“Eat something, then. Don't starve yourself. You have a weak stomach,” she said caringly.

"Get some sleep.” He did not let go and kept her close in his arms.

She leaned against his chest emotionlessly, and drifted off to sleep shortly after.

Peace was never guaranteed and she did not know when Anthony would lose his temper once

again, and next time, she was not sure if she could bear any longer. *

Exhausted, she fell into slumber.

Anthony stayed the night, but did not attempt to get intimate that night.

The next morning, Kathryn came by to check on Anne and measured her temperature to find that

Anne's temperature had resumed normal.

I still feel dizzy,” Anne said.

“It's normal. I will prescribe you something else.” Kathryn poured Anne a glass of water to take her

pills, while Anthony supervised the entire process.

Just as Kathryn and Anne contemplated how they could get Anthony to leave, Anthony's phone

rang and he left the room to answer the call.

“I've informed Lucas and he is making arrangements. Just wait,” Kathryn whispered.

"Okay."

Everything went far smoother with Kathryn's help and all Anne wanted was to disappear like she

never existed.
