Chapter 1392
Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies
Chapter 1392
Ashlynnâs heart sank at his words. âEven if this is fate, it just goes to say how cruel fate could be.â
She felt helpless for being targeted by a man like Salvatore.
She could have had a normal life, yet she had been hurt, damaged and traumatized.
âYou want to go back to the Hiltons and break free from me? I thought that you have grown out of
the age of daydreaming.â Corentin did not waver after finding the truth. âI don't mind if you want to
be accepted. into the Hilton Family and they will have to accept me as their son-in-law. That way,
the two families will be joined by marriage as planned. Everyone can be happy.â.
Ashlynn glared at the ruthless look on his face. Running out of options, she asked, âI'm a member of
the Hilton Family now, so I can get them to fulfill any of your requests. Just let me go, okay?â
âDoes it look like I need anything?â Corentin glanced at her causally, before getting up to move
closer to her. âWho else can satisfy me but you?â,
âCorentin, go awa- Umph!â He devoured her petal-soft lips as though he was trying to break the
skin.
*...Umph! Cor-"
Ashlynn was taken back to Corentinâs mansion and all her belongings including her phone was left
in her Toom, so even if Beth wanted to reach out to Ashlynn, she would have no means to do so.
Corentin had not forbidden Ashlynn from going to the Hilton's mansion as long as they accepted
him as a son-in-law, but she could not summon the courage to go, unable to recover from the
shock of finding her real family.
Nonetheless, she was still overjoyed that she found them and that they did not abandon her on
purpose. Nothing pleased her more and even the torture she received from Corentin did not affect
her as much.
That was the difference between being alone and having a family.
Just then, the maid hurried over and ran past her to look for the butler.
Ashlynn spotted cars driving through the gates outside, and while there were three luxurious-
looking cars, none of them was Corentin's Bently.
When she spotted Beth getting out of one of the cars, Ashlynnâs heart raced, still unable to regain
her composure after hiding for two days.
Both Marshall and Beth got out of the car and went to open the car door on the other car, before
helping.
an old man out.
It was old Mr. Hilton
Beth said something to old Mr. Hilton and he immediately looked up. When Ashlynn met his eyes
and noticed the eagerness within, she knew who he was and hurried over.
Once she was standing before them, she struggled to address Beth and Marshall, it did not seem
appropriate to call them âDadâ and âMomâ, nor did it feel right to simply call them âUncleâ and
âAuntyâ.
Old Mr. Hilton stared at her intently. âCrescent?â
She pursed her lips and muttered, âHello...â
"You really are my Little Crescent...â Tears welled in old Mr. Hilton's eyes. âCrescent, I'm so glad that
we've finally found you!â
Beth looked at Ashlynn gently with tears in her eyes. âCrescent, this is your grandfather. You
probably donât remember him because you were only a baby when you last saw him. After I told
him about he
you, insisted on coming here to see you. He is just excited, so don't be alarmed.â
âI'm not...I'm just taken by surprise...â Ashlynn felt a lump in her throat.
Jeremy had mentioned to her that she had grabbed her grandfather's hand during her One-year-
old Catch Ceremony, her grandfather was so pleased that he decided to choose Jeremy's sister as
the future. heiress of the Hilton Family..
Ashlynn simply had not expected to learn that she was the baby in that story, and the gentle-
looking old. man before her was grandfather.
Her mind went blank as she tried to picture the harmonious scene in the past.
"Why donât you come in?â She said.
Once they were inside, the servants served tea and old Mr. Hilton kept his eyes on Ashlynn the
entire time. âYou have grown up so much. You must have gone through a lot of hardship out there.â
Tears gathered in Beth's eyes again. Ashlynn was her own blood and flesh and as a mother, her
heart ached for whatever Ashlynn had suffered.
âI'm fine...â Despite how tortured she was, Ashlynn dismissed it, not wanting to deepen their guilt
toward her. âAre you doing alright?â
"Yes, especially after finding out about you. I'm just so happy. I never thought that I would be able
to see. you again before I die,â old Mr. Hilton said.
âDad, you've always been healthy. Don't say things like that.â Beth scowled.
âThat's right. You still need to give Crescent a chance to be with you!â Marshall added.
âLife and death are inevitable and there's no point in avoiding them,â Old Mr. Hilton said casually. âI
do want to live a few years longer to protect you and make it up to you, though.â
Tears welled in Ashlynnâs eyes. âI'm happy to find my real family, so donât worry about me. I'm sure
you will live a long life.â
Old Mr. Hilton nodded his head happily. âGood girl.â
He turned to glance around the mansion. Beth and Marshall had informed him about what
happened, along with Ashlynnâs marriage to Corentin.
