Chapter 1477
Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies
Chapter 1477
âLook up,â Anthony said hoarsely.
Enticed by his voice, Anne subconsciously lifted her chin and stiffened when she realized she was
cooperating.
She did not notice the smirk on Anthony's face.
It was torture as Anthony brushed her teeth with care, caressing each porcelain tooth. He did not
stall, and once he was done, he commanded, âSpit.â
Anne bent down and spat the foam in her mouth out. When she looked up again, she noticed the
blush on her face and rinsed her face with cold water.
As soon as she was done, she ignored Anthony and left directly. She pressed her hand against her
chest outside the room, feeling like her heart was about to leap out of her chest.
The tension between her and Anthony was increasing. From the cold exchange, she had warned him
not to touch her at first, before the two kissed and had even slept in the same bed.
Things were spiraling out of Anne's control, but not only was she not angry, but she also did not
leave Luton right away either.
When Anthony headed down the stairs, Hayden came over and said, âMrs. Marwood has left
without having breakfast.â
Anthony tilted his head to stare at the entrance of the house with a stubborn look on his face.
Instead of returning to her mansion, Anne wandered on the streets aimlessly.
Everyone was heading to work at this time, and she was the only one who strolled across the streets
as she tried to keep a leveled head
She had to admit that Anthony was getting under her skin, and it had nothing to do with the
triplets.
Anthony meant hell to her, and even if she had loved him for a time, she had suffered as much.
Since she had grown stronger, did it mean that she would not be hurt again if she chose to stay
with Anthony and her children?
She should not feel guilty about making such a choice, yet she still hesitated.
"Anne?"
Hearing someone calling her name, Anne sobered and turned to find a familiar-looking woman
before her.
Overwhelmed by a strange feeling, Anne asked, âDo... I know you?"
"You donât recognize me?â
Anne stared at the face hesitantly and seemed to recall the woman's voice.
âI'm Lucia. We worked in the Aesthetic Clinic together in the past.â
Anne was shocked by the name, as Lucia looked different and had clearly gone through plastic
surgeries.
Lucia studied Anne's face with a half-smile and said, âI didn't think it would really be you, Anne. I
thought I had the wrong person.â
âIt's been a while.â Anne did not ask Lucia about the plastic surgery as it was Luciaâs personal choice.
âWhen did you come back?â Lucia asked.
Anne was slightly surprised, as she thought everyone knew about what had happened.
The conversation that followed was less pleasant.
âAnthony told me that something happened to you and you will never return... this is such... a
surprise!â Lucia smiled bitterly.
âAnthony?â Anne muttered in disbelief. Not many people were allowed to address Anthony by his
first name, yet Lucia had done so with ease.
âWhy? Is there something I'm not aware of?" Anne thought.
