“Do you want it? Tell me.” Corentin was tempting her to say those embarrassing words out loud.

Ashlynn was so embarrassed that she became exasperated. “Shut up. I'll kick you off the bed...”

She even made some empty threats.

Corentin snickered, “I'll put my back into it then!”

“Ah!”

It was almost noon when Ashlynn woke up. She sat on the bed with her body feeling sore.

She did not even have a clue when Corentin left.

She was not even worked too hard by Corentin last night, so why was she able to sleep until noon?

She was truly getting weaker and weaker.

Ashlynn went to brush her teeth, but after just a few brushes, she felt nauseated.

It only felt better after resting for a while.

Has she caught a cold?

After she barely brushed her teeth, she went downstairs to see what was there to eat.

It was weird to call it breakfast at that hour, but it was still too early to say that she was having

lunch.

As soon as she got downstairs, the butler came to her. “Mrs. Lloyd, your mother’s driver is here.”

“Huh?” Ashlynn looked at the driver in the living room and asked, “What's the matter?”

“Madam misses you, so she wants you to join her for lunch! You didn’t answer your phone, so she

asked me to come and pick you up,” said the driver.

Once he said that, Ashlynn had it all figured out.

Her mother must be worried because she did not answer her phone, which was why she

immediately sent

her driver over.

Her mother was worried that she was bullied by Corentin.

She went to the Hilton family’s mansion in the car. As soon as she stepped into the courtyard, she

saw Beth enjoying the flowers there.

"Mom."

"Why didn’t you answer the phone when I called?” Beth asked, then she carefully checked her body

all over. "Are you alright?”

“I'm quite good.”

The driver said, “Miss Ashlynn woke up rather late, so she wasn't able to answer the call.”

Only after he finished reporting to Beth that he left.

“There's no need to worry. Corentin is very good to me.”

“That would be the best.”

A car drove in. It was Jeremy returning.

The car was brought to a halt with an emergency brake, and Jeremy got out of the car. His long legs

were eye-catching and he had a mighty air to him

“When did you get here?”

“I just arrived a moment ago. How come you're back?” asked Ashlynn.

"The food at the cafeteria is too disgusting. I might as well come home to have lunch,” said Jeremy.

Beth wanted to laugh but she held it in to not let him lose face.

He clearly wanted to have lunch with his sister but he used such an excuse

Jeremy was already very familiar with the company’s business at that moment, so unless it was

something major, Beth practically did not need to appear in person anymore.

Therefore, when Beth wanted to have lunch with her daughter, she would not go to the company.

The table was filled with feast and it was almost all Ashlynn's favorite dishes.

The smell was heavenly.

Ashlynn only started on the main dish after finishing the soup.

However, she felt her stomach getting upset after just taking a few bites.

"You don’t look well. Are you not feeling well?” Beth noticed something was not right.

"What's the matter?” asked Jeremy.

Ashlynn shook her head. “I'm fine.” She rested for a while, then she grabbed a spoonful of the food.

She already stuffed the food into her mouth, but she puked it all out. “Mmm!”

She hurriedly covered her mouth and rushed to the bathroom.

“Ash!”

Beth and Jeremy followed behind her in a hurry.

“Blargh! Blargh...blargh...” Ashlynn threw up while hugging the toilet, and she vomited all the food

that she had swallowed earlier.

Beth patted her back anxiously. “What's the matter? Why didn’t you tell me that you're not feeling

well?”

Jeremy accepted the water that the butler handed him, and passed it to Ashlynn, who was feeling

weak, for her to gargle. “You look very pale. I'll take you to the hospital.”

“There's no need for that. I might have caught a cold. My stomach won't feel upset anymore after

I'm done throwing up.” Ashlynn did not want to make such a big deal out of it. “I'll just go lay down

in the

room.”

"Are you really sure it's nothing serious?” Beth was worried. “Mm-hmm. I'll go to the hospital if I still

feel terrible later.”
