Jeremy became anxious. “Corentin, you already had a vasectomy but she got pregnant. This is the

truth that will never change. Why are you still fooling yourself?”

“Call the doctor here,” Corentin said to Evan, who was behind him.

Evan then went out to look for the doctor.

Not long after, the doctor came over.

Before Corentin said anything, Meredith beat him to the punch and asked, “If the man has already

gotten a vasectomy, could the woman still get pregnant? Unless the surgery has failed, right?”

If the doctor dared to say that the woman could get pregnant, then he would be admitting the

hospital was unskilled.

Who would destroy the reputation of their own business?

“Before the surgery, I've already told Mr. Lloyd that a vasectomy is not one hundred percent

effective. After practicing medicine for so many years, I've encountered people who have gotten

pregnant after taking contraceptive medication, using condoms, and also having a vasectomy.

"You mean there is a possibility for my daughter to get pregnant, right?” asked Beth.

Beth looked at Corentin. “What do you think?”

“There's no problem then. The child Ash is carrying is mine.” Corentin’s gaze was sharp. “If anybody

were to question this and spread nonsense everywhere, don’t blame me for not being polite.”

As soon as he said that, Meredith had no way to speak everything in her mind anymore.

"Have the child then! As long as you won't regret it. I have something on, so I'll first be taking my

leave. Auntie, I'll go and visit you at a later time.”

Upon saying that, she turned around and left.

Seeing that, Beth said, “Corentin, you stay here. Jeremy and I will be returning home now. You have

to pay attention to her meals and daily activities after she’s discharged from the hospital. Got it?"

“I will. Don't worry.”

“If he made you uncomfortable while taking care of you, just give me a call and I'll go pick you up.”

Jeremy still wanted to continue but was pulled out of the ward by Beth.

“He's your brother-in-law. What are you doing?” Beth criticized her son when they got out of the

ward.

“Nothing. I'm just annoyed.” Jeremy stuffed both his hands into his pockets.

After everybody left, Corentin and Ashlynn were the only ones left in the ward.

The atmosphere in the ward was unusually depressing.

Corentin walked up to her and sat down on the edge of the bed. The bed sank a little as it could not

withstand the weight.

He used his big hand to hold Ashlynn’s slightly cold hand. “I didn’t expect it would turn out like that.

It's my fault. I'm sorry...”

Ashlynn already lost the ability to think about the fact that she was pregnant.

It was completely not in her plan at all.

She had even planned on not having children in this life.

This was too sudden.

Corentin was truly apologizing at that moment. It was unexpected to him as well!

Ashlynnis gaze was lowered. “Let's keep the child.”

Corentinis body suddenly trembled “You want to keep the child?”
