Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies

Chapter 369 She could only guess that he had been waiting for her.

"You looked desperate, so I figured you were looking for me.”

She pursed her lips at the realization that Anthony was onto her every move.

“I thought he was in the meeting? Why would he know that I was walking back and forth to the

bathroom?” she thought.

Without time to consider, she blurted out, “Are you okay?"

He sneered. “So you are here to pay your respect, hum?”

Her eyes darted away. “I will cut to the chase if you don't want me to at least ask how you are doing.

I wanted to talk to you about something... Can you restore my citizenship?” “Why?”

Anne froze at his question. “What do you mean? The truth has come out, and we have nothing to

do with your mother’s death. Shouldn't you let us go already?”

“Nothing to do with it, huh?” He stared at her with a mysterious look.

"Yeah! It was your... Ron was the one who kept chasing after my mom, and she didn't accept it. Ron

himself admitted to it! You can’t just keep tormenting me over the same thing like you did before!”

she explained frantically and took a step forward.

"And that has nothing to do with her? If she had never existed in the first place, none of this would

have happened,” he said coldly.

“Is that my mom's fault? Anthony Marwood, be reasonable!” Anne was driven mad that though she

had finally found hope, it changed nothing in the end. “Your mother didn't die because of mine, and

I have nothing to do with this. Ask anyone, and we won't be condemned from a legal or moral

perspective!”

“Are you sure?” He leaned forward and grabbed her by the chin. "Without her, nothing would have

happened. Besides, even if all of you were falsely accused, I won't let you leave Luton.” “Wh..Why

not?” Shocked, she muttered.

“Why? Because you are naive.” He shoved her away with a cold expression and shut the door.

The car drove past Anne and left the parking lot while Anne stood dazedly.

“Naive? Yeah, I guess I was. I thought that I would be fine once the truth came out. In the end... Why

exactly is this happening to me?” she thought.

She was slammed into despair as she struggled to understand why Anthony insisted on making her

suffer. She remained in a horrible mood for the rest of the day as she felt like she had been

condemned to hell from heaven.

Right before getting off work, she received a call from Nigel. “Anne, I contacted the interior

designer, and I'm kind of busy right now. Can you go have a look? Just let him know whatever you

want.”

"Why bother? I don't intend on moving in anyway.”

"Why not? It's a secured area. What's the point of buying a place if you are not going to stay in it?

Besides, it's not like you can move in right away after the renovation. You will need to wait for a few

months after that.” Unable to argue, she agreed, and Nigel gave her the contact number of the

designer. She made an appointment to meet with the designer at seven because she had no time

during the day. Anne went to the new house after having a meal with her children. The designer

needed to measure the interior and show her samples of different designs. Unable to make the

decision immediately, she took the samples back and agreed to call the designer once she had

made up her mind.

Once the designer and his assistant left, Anne got ready to leave and turned to glance at the night

view outside the balcony.

It was almost nine at night and the city view was enticing. Drawn to it, she walked closer to look,

and the view was as beautiful as she had ever imagined. This was something that she had never

dared to think of. She had seen similar views in the Royal Mansion and Lucas’s apartment before,

but the view never truly belonged to her. She gazed outside blankly before turning around to leave,

only to stop right before she went back into the apartment. She snapped her head around and

stared at the man on a lounging chair on the balcony across in shock.

Doubting her own eyes, she walked closer to inspect. The balcony across was merely decorated with

a few plants beside the lounging chair and the coffee table. There was a large piece of glass above

the balcony to block out rain and sui yht. Anne noticed the apartment across as well, but she had

not expected to see Anthony there, so she simply stared and gaped.
