Anthony did not say anything and left the room. Then, he took out a bottle of water from the

refrigerator and drank it. After that, he sat on the sofa, taking out his phone from his suit pocket.

When Anthony saw Bianca's calls and text messages, he remembered that he was

supposed to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau this morning. Yet, it was almost 4 p.m. now, long past the

agreed time.

Anthony rubbed his temples, annoyed that he had forgotten such an important thing...

Bianca was still waiting inside the Civil Affairs Bureau, which would close in an hour.

“Bianca, let's go back. Anthony hasn't said anything yet until now. He won't come, right?” Dorothy

had been by Bianca's side, feeling angry and vengeful. Moreover, her face still had Sarah's

fingerprints from their fight.

"He'll come. He's surely late because he has something urgent in hand to handle,” Bianca was

kidding herself.

“No matter what, he should've said something, as this is such an important thing. What's the point

of making people wait like this?” Dorothy strongly disagreed with Anthony's action, and she also

could not mention Anne for fear of irritating Bianca. “Let's go back...”

Before Dorothy could finish speaking, the phone that Bianca had been holding in her hand rang.

Bianca immediately picked it up and looked at it excitedly. When she saw the call from Anthony, she

answered, “Anthony, where are you? Didn't we agree to get our marriage certificate this morning?”

“I'm sorry. Something urgent came up.” Anthony's hoarse voice sounded.

“I-It's okay. You didn’t answer your phone, and I was afraid something had happened to you. It's

good to know you're fine.” Bianca turned her questioning and angry tone into

concern.

“I'm fine.” Anthony did not say much.

“That's great.” Then, Bianca glanced at the time on the wall and added, “I'm still waiting for you at

the Civil Affairs Bureau. Will you come over now? It doesn’t matter that it isn't nine

o'clock.”

If she did not get the marriage certificate today, Bianca felt she would never have a chance again.

Hence, no matter how late it was, she must calm herself down first.

Besides, Anthony could not say that he could not make it. With his power, it was easy for him to

make the Civil Affairs Bureau wait for him until midnight.

The door opened, and Kathryn came out. She stood there waiting when she saw that Anthony was

on the phone.

Anthony glanced at Kathryn, who nodded. Then, he said to Bianca, “I'll head over later.”

"Okay, I'll wait for you.” Bianca finally smiled.

After the call ended, Dorothy knew everything was alright when she saw Bianca's expression.

"As I said, he'll definitely come.” Bianca was confident. “Anthony has his own personal affairs, which

is normal and unnecessarily related to Anne.”

What Dorothy wanted to say was stuck in her throat, and she did not want to say anything to

trigger Bianca at this time.

Nothing else mattered as long as Anthony came.

Anne was still asleep on the bed, and her IV drip bag was half full. Although her fever had subsided,

Anne's little face was flushed, looking pitiful.

Kathryn left after Anne's condition stabilized, leaving Anthony alone.
