Chapter 677
Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies
Nigel set Chloe down between her two brothers and placed a blanket over her, silently hoping that
her dreams would come true.
After stepping out of the room, Nigel asked, "Are you really going to keep the kids from their
mother? If you truly care for them, you shouldn't do such a thing. It's not good for them.â
"If you were the one who discovered the kids, would you say the same thing to Anne?"
Nigel turned and glanced down the stairs. âI can't promise anything about things that haven't
happened.â
"You won't,â Anthony said with certainty.
Nigel sighed, all his sorrow and despair gathering like a storm within his eyes. "That's my life. I took
one wrong step, and everything went south from there. I destroyed my life and others along with it.
Anthony, I've treated you with kindness, and I only have one wish: that you don't hurt Anne. I'm
begging you.â
Anthony frowned. What Nigel said seemed overly gloomy for a night like this. "What happened?"
Anthony asked.
"Nothing happened. I'm just talking some sense into you." Nigel looked at him. "Let me ask you this.
What do you feel about Anne right now? Do you hate her?"
Anthony stiffened and remained quiet.
If it was not for hatred, why would he not let her go?
"I'm not asking you to care for her or anything. Just let her be with her children and live like a
normal family. Is that so hard?"
"You've misunderstood, Mr. Faye. She's the one who didn't come to visit the children. You know that
she's out of the country right now." Anthony's expression darkened.
"She's just in a bad mood and needs a change of scenery. So I assume that you will let her see the
children once she comes back?" Nigel asked.
"I'm not that heartless,â Anthony said.
Without another word, Nigel nodded and turned to leave.
Anthony stood by the fences and watched as Nigel leave.
Everything was caused by Anne herself, and Anthony considered himself merciful to let her see her
children after she had left the country without his permission.
Anne and Sarah remained in Glasbel Isle for a week before leaving for the Cambrick University
where Anne had studied before.
The ancient building was surrounded by greenery and rivers, forming a breathtaking sight.
"And so I left gently, like the way I came. I waved and bid my farewell to the clouds... Are those the
words? I don't even remember anymore," Sarah said.
"Yeah, that's the poem down to the exact word."
"I loved David Palmore's poems when I was young. I fantasized about love back then and met your
dad. I was so brave then. Now that I'm older, I've forgotten what it's like to be in love. Everything
has been replaced by lust and materialistic desires.â Sarah sighed as she watched all the young
students traveling on campus.
Anne could not agree more. Her life would have been different if her parents were together, and
they would have been very happy.
Her destiny was parallel to Anthony's, and they were never supposed to cross paths, but in the end,
fate had its way of toying with mortals.
"You are still young. You have plenty of chances,â Sarah said.
"I don't want to think about that right now,â Anne said.
Sarah felt frustrated as soon as she thought of Anthony and was about to say something when...
"Anne?"
Both Anne and Sarah turned around and froze when they saw Lucas from a distance.
