Chapter 690
Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies
"Mom, Anthony has hired the top experts all around the world. They will be here tomorrow. Let's go
home for now and come back tomorrow."
"You should go. I'll stay here. Someone has to stay with him." Sarah did not want to leave Nigel.
"There are nurses here with Dad who can take better care of him. There are even bodyguards
outside the door. He's going to be fine. Besides, if we run into Dorothy and Bianca again, we are all
just going to end up arguing. That's not going to help with Dad's recovery,â Anne said.
Sarah hesitated and Anne directly dragged her out of the room.
On their way back, both Sarah and Anne sat in the car quietly. Neither had thought that something
like that would happen during their trip. Not only was Anne worried about Nigel, she was concerned
for Sarah as well as she had never seen her mother so devastated before.
After arriving home, Sarah returned to her room and Anne did the same. Instead of showering, she
sat on the edge of bed dazedly.
She could not understand why her father would want a divorce. She knew that Sarah and Nigel had
not met or contacted one another recently and something must have happened for Nigel to ignore
Anthony and insist on a divorce.
"What did Dorothy do?"
She was determined to figure it out after meeting the medical experts tomorrow.
The next morning, Anne was woken up in her sleep. She opened her eyes and saw Sarah right
before her. "Mom? What time is it?"
"It's six. Are we going to the hospital?" Sarah asked.
Noticing something odd, Anne sat up and as expected, Sarah was still dressed in the same clothes
as the day before and she looked exhausted as though she had not slept at all.
Anne sighed and pulled Sarah to sit down next to the bed. "There are still two hours before eight.
Why didn't you sleep?"
"I can't sleep..."
"There's nothing we can do right now. We are bound to run into Dorothy and Bianca later. There are
still two hours left. At least get an hour of sleep. Sleep here!â Anne got out of bed.
"I am not sleeping.â
"Mom!" Anne's expression darkened. "You need to take care of yourself. When Dad wakes up, he's
going to be upset with me if I fail to take care of you.â
Tears welled up in Sarah's eyes as she took Anne's hand. "Anne. What should we do if your dad
never wakes up?"
Suppressing the urge to cry, Anne said, "He's Dorothy's husband. If the experts say that he can only
remain in bed for the rest of his life, we can only wait for a miracle. A medical miracle.â
Nigel had earned enough money to sustain all medical expenses even if he stayed in a vegetative
state for decades, so they could wait for him to regain consciousness.
Meanwhile, Dorothy had not slept well because she was worried that Nigel might wake up. She
jolted awake from her dream and stumbled to the closet to look for Nigel's briefcase and checked if
she had missed anything.
Once she confirmed that the paternity test was not inside, she relaxed.
Ten minutes before eight, Anne arrived at the hospital alone. She had reached a consensus with her
mother that she would come along and call Sarah if there was any update.
