“Could it be that it was not a congenital heart disease?” Anne suspected. “He's not the real Corentin,

"Alright. Ill find a way to tell you any strange things I find,” Ashlynn said

"Please be careful.”

After hanging up the call, Ashlynn thanked the shopkeeper and left the pet store. On the surface,

she seemed to wander casually on the streets, but she was actually hoping to bump into a

pharmacy.

Ashlynn looked around and noticed a pharmacy not far away. Then, she adjusted her mood and

headed over. After entering the pharmacy, she walked around the health supplements section.

Soon, a shopkeeper asked, “Is there anything I can help you with?"

“I'll take this.” Ashlynn chose a bottle of vitamin C, then asked hesitantly, “Do you have birth-control

pills?”

"Yes, we do.” The shopkeeper went to another section and took some over, explaining. “This is an

emergency birth control pill, and it's more harmful to the body. This is to be taken daily and has

fewer side effects.”

“I'll have the one with fewer side effects,” Ashlynn said. She was now with Corentin, and he needed

sex almost every day. She could not help but wonder how he had endured it before. He must have

looked for many women, right?

That Meredith was probably one of them...

Ashlynn let her mind wander.

What kind of person was the real Corentin?

When Ashlynn left the pharmacy, Ashlynn only had a bottle of vitamin C in her hand and no birth

control pills. Then, she walked around for a while before taking the cab home.

Once she was home, Ashlynn went to the home cinema, where there was a laptop. As her previous

investigation was incomplete, she decided to look for more information on Corentin again.

The direction was Corentin’s titbits.

However, only news of the business cooperation between the Lloyd family and the Hilton family was

reported, as well as photos of Corentin and Meredith together. Even so, there were only two photos,

which paparazzi photographed in the parking lot of a certain hotel.

and his footsteps were silent as he stepped on the carpet.

“What are you doing?” He walked up behind her.

“Searching for movies,” Ashlynn said.

When Corentin came around, there were indeed only various blockbuster movies on the screen.

Corentin bent slightly, looking at the screen. His broad chest covered Ashlynn’s entire body.

Ashlynn did not move. Instead, she hunched her shoulder like a victim pretending to be calm, afraid

that Corentin could hear her nervous heartbeat.

“Crime film? Let's watch this one.” Corentin decided for her.

In fact, Ashlynn did not even know what she opened as she just simply clicked on it.

Crime...and Salvatore matched well.

The movie projected on the big screen, and the two sat on the comfortable leather sofa chair.

“Where did you go shopping today?” Corentin turned to look at Ashlynn. In the dark, his amber-

colored eyes had a green luster. “You didn't spend any money I gave you.”

“It doesn't cost much to buy two bags of pet treats and a bottle of vitamin C,” Ashlynn said

indifferently. “You didn't buy anything else?”
