Granny Ding laughed so hard that she was in tears. She said, “I said so five years ago when Miss Wu lost her ability. I told you that you should work for Lady Gu, but what did you say? You said that Miss Wu would recover. What about now? Where’s your Miss Wu?”

“Here!” Feng Wu put down the tree and stared at Granny Ding.

Only then did Granny Ding recognize her.

Her stomach lurched. After all, Feng Wu had just heard what she said about her. But she didn’t think much of it because she still believed that Feng Wu was a good-for-nothing who lived more miserably than a maid.

At that thought, Granny Ding began to scold Feng Wu as if the girl was a low-level servant.

“Here you are, Miss Wu. You do look pretty, but your behavior is so… ” She glanced at Feng Wu. “Where are your manners? What are you doing with that tree? No young lady should behave as rudely as this. If people outside hear about this, they’ll think that Miss Qi is as bad as you are…”

Feng Wu’s tree jabbed her in the stomach.

The guards answered.

They thought that it would be a very easy job.
