I understand there's been some confusion about the recent developments involving Jonathan, and I'd like to take a moment to clarify the shift in timelines and the reasoning behind his journey through these alternate realities.

Jonathan's current experience—what feels like moving from past to future, witnessing alternate scenarios of Laura loving another man—is not just a shift in time but a direct consequence of a wish Laura made. That night, after Jonathan rejected her love for the final time, she made a wish upon a star, longing for the strength to stop loving him. The wish, however, didn't magically take away her feelings. It wasn't the wish that made her stop loving Jonathan—it was her own decision, a choice born out of heartbreak and years of painful, unreciprocated affection. Laura finally let go because she had been rejected too many times, even when her love was clear and open.

But while the wish didn't affect Laura in the way she may have hoped, it did unravel something for Jonathan. The universe granted him a taste of the pain Laura had endured all those years.
