After their vigorous activities, the two lay on the bed for a while.

Lu Qingjiu was wet and sticky, so he went to shower in the bathroom, but Bai Yuehu was already asleep when he came back. Obviously, his body hadn’t fully recovered yet, and there was visible fatigue between his eyebrows even in his sleep. Hu Shu nodded in agreement.

The two finished buying their items and returned home with large and small bags. After they got home, they saw Bai Yuehu still fast asleep. Lu Qingjiu didn’t bother waking him either and started processing the ingredients together with Yin Xun. The meat was marinated, the shrimp was thawed, and the vegetables were washed. In the past, almost all barbecues were grilled over charcoal, but this time, he used a roasting pan. Lu Qingjiu also prepared lettuce to cut through the greasy dishes. He had prepared a lot of spicy cabbage and planned to eat them together.

When it was ready, Lu Qingjiu woke Bai Yuehu up. Bai Yuehu opened his eyes to see Lu Qingjiu and was still in a daze as he leaned in to kiss the corners of Lu Qingjiu’s lips. Those ears, that were very different from his cold appearance and style, also stood up, reminding Lu Qingjiu of some scenes unsuitable for children.

When emotions were at their peak, Bai Yuehu’s ears would appear. When Lu Qingjiu was no longer able to hold it in, he would reach out and grab it and even lower his head to take a bite. It tasted soft and fluffy, and it felt strange when he chewed it. Moreover… Bai Yuehu’s body would tense at this time, reminding Lu Qingjiu of the feeling of having his dragon’s horns touched.

He didn’t know why a dragon, who was such a cold creature, would have such a pair of cute furry ears.

After washing up, the two went to the living room and took their chopsticks to eat.

It was very satisfying.

He didn’t go to the market today, so he couldn’t buy fresh shrimps, only some frozen shrimps as a substitute. However, dipping them in some chili was still delicious. As for vegetables, almost all of them were swept up by Lu Qingjiu. After washing the white round mushrooms, they were roasted in a pot. After having too much barbecued meat, a bite of this could counter the greasiness.

While eating, Lu Qingjiu told Bai Yuehu about the person who came by pretending to be him the other day. After hearing this, Baiyuehu looked solemn and repeatedly asked for details. When he heard that Lu Qingjiu had hugged  him, Bai Yuehu’s face became very cold.

“He hugged you?” Bai Yuehu asked.

“Yeah.” Lu Qingjiu nibbled the roasted dried eggplant. For some reason, Bai Yuehu’s solemn gaze made him feel a little frustrated, “I didn’t realise it at the time.”

Bai Yuehu asked, “Didn’t realise?”

Lu Qingjiu: “Um… I’ll realise it next time.”

Bai Yuehu didn’t speak, frowning as if thinking about something.

The barbecue was considered over at midnight, when Bai Yuehu ate all the food. Because it was late, Lu Qingjiu told Yin Xun to clean up tomorrow morning and then everyone went their respective ways to rest.

Lu Qingjiu replied to Hu Shu the next day, saying that they could make it and asked for the time and place.

“Tomorrow afternoon, we have a break.” Hu Shu said, “Let’s go to the barbecue restaurant next to the police station. Their lamb skewers are absolutely amazing. You must try it.”

“Okay.” Lu Qingjiu agreed.

“Then we will see you there.” After Hu Shu and Lu Qingjiu agreed on a time, they hung up.
