Chapter 154
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 154
Leanne watched him walk away, a whirl of confusion churning inside her.
Lately, Curtis had been acting weird, and Devin also acted off as if caught by some strange contagion.
She couldnât figure them out, and frankly, she didnât care to.
Next door, Selina and Joy discarded their belongings and combined their mental forces to decipher the puzzling scene they had just observed.
âIt must be Curtis trying to get Devin to carry Suzanâs luggage, but the dude misread the situation!â
âThen why didnât Curtis just say something?â
âImagine that spectacle. In front of everyone, Curtis would say, âHey, dude, you got it wrong. I wanted you to help my mistress, not my wife.â
Selina nodded. âYouâve got a point. But could you refrain from bashing Suzan in front of me? Iâm in a complicated place emotionally.â
Joy concluded, âSo, in the end, weâve got one jerk and one fool.â
The two self-proclaimed detectives felt like they had cracked the case and approached Leanne, spirits high.
âLetâs hit the spa!â
Busy hanging clothes in the closet, Leanne glanced at them. âArenât you going to sort out your things?â
âWhy bother?â Selina looked puzzled. âJust toss it all on the floor, right?â
Vibrating with vindication, Joy exclaimed, âSee, I knew I was the only sane one here!â
Leanne, who couldnât stand disorder, continued hanging her clothes, âYou go ahead. Iâl catch up.â
Not long after they left, Grace knocked on Leanneâs door.
She looked apologetic. âLeanne, Iâm so sorry. Mr. Curtis and his group decided to come on short notice. I had no idea he would be available. Skyler made the arrangements, and itâs my fault for not giving you a heads-up. I didnât expect you guys to run into each other.â
But Curtisâ group had arrived first. Even if Grace hadnât known beforehand, she could have
warned Leanne.
At that time, Leanne and her friends were still on the road. They could have decided not to show up to this âcoincidence.â

Moreover, Grace had walked in with Suzan.
Leanne met her gaze, her own clear and calm. âLet it be. If anyone should be avoiding anyone, itâs not me.â
She wanted to stay out of sight, not out of fear
Graceâs remorse seemed genuine. âDonât worry, though. Your rooms are far from theirs. They shouldnât disturb you.â
Of course, if Leanneâs guess were correct, Suzanâs room would be conveniently close to
Curtisâ.
Leanne gave a weak smile, not wanting to carry on the conversation.
After tidying up, she left the room and glimpsed Curtis in the hallway. She ignored him as if she hadnât seen him and walked toward the hot springs.
Curtis called out, âHey, stunner.â
Leanne felt goosebumps all over at the absurd nickname. She quickly glanced around, ensuring no one else was around before the goosebumps of embarrassment settled
down.
She glared at Curtis. âWhat are you calling me that for?â
âItâs the name you picked. Canât I use it?â Curtis wandered over with a lazy stride in his step. âWhere are your little drama buddies?â
What kind of weird name was that?
Curtis said, âDidnât I tell you to come find me after you settled in?â
She never thought of finding him.
Leanneâs patience was wearing thin. She didnât want to see Curtis and Suzan flaunting themselves in front of her.
So, she retorted sharply, âDo I have to do everything you say? Who do you think you are?â
âFine, fine. You donât have to do as I say. Is it okay if I come to find you? Such a hot temper,â Curtis chuckled, adopting an indulgent tone, âRebellious teen, arenât you?â
âI donât need you to do whatever I say. Just keep your distance. Thatâs all.â
After Leanne finished, Curtis said abruptly, âI didnât invite her here.â
She paused, then continued with a cold expression. âItâs none of my business.â
âThen why are you upset?â
âWhat made you say that? Iâm not upset.â
Curtis replied, âAdmit it.â

Speechless, Leanne turned to leave, but Curtis extended a long leg and hooked hers, pulling her back.
âI didnât invite her,â he said, looking down at her trying to explain.
Leanne couldnât make sense of his recent bizarre behavior. âYou donât need to explain to me. Iâm not interested and I donât want to hear about it.â
