Chapter 202
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 202
Belinda hesitated as she looked at Leanne, words on the tip of her tongue but never quite
making it out.
âDr. Castillo, did you come here to change my mind as well?â
But Leanne had already taken care of it. âIâve spoken to the nurse. Next time anyone from the Red Cross shows up, theyâll be turned away.â
On her Saturday off, Leanne got a call from Larissa, who invited Leanne to some retail therapy.
Leanne had dined with Larissa once after the last party and found Larissa quite. down-to-earth. Perhaps out of respect for the Richardson family, Larissa was exceptionally kind to her.
Their conversation flowed easily, and they have kept in touch ever since.
Knowing Leanneâs best friend was head over heels for a veteran actor from a popular TV series, Larissa even went out of her way to get his autograph for her.
Signed on a napkin, Leanne brought it home to find Joy and Selina in the middle of a full-blown argument over it.
Joy exclaimed, âCome on. Iâve been best friends with Anne for many years, and you just met her. Do you even know where you stand? Youâre a frenemy at best!â
âRelationships arenât measured by time!â The defiant Selina demanded a title from Leanne, âTell me, am I not your best friend?â
Grabbing Leanne by the shoulders, Joy shook her, âSo, whoâs it for, me or her?â
Nearly losing a piece of her steaks from the shaking, Leanne was at her witâs end, âHow about I tear it in half, and you each get a piece?â
After finally chilling out, they used the traditional method of flipping a coin to decide who
came out on top.
Joy was utterly defeated. Selina framed the napkin and flaunted it every chance she got, successfully infuriating Joy to no end.
âYou better sleep with one eye open tonight.â
âIf I canât have it, no one can!â
So, the always reluctant Leanne shamelessly asked Larissa for a favor the second time.
They met at the mall, where Larissa, smiling, handed her the second autograph. âMy friendâs twins, three years old, fight just like your friends.â

Leanne was embarrassed and thanked her. âIâm so sorry for the trouble.â
âOh come on. Weâre friends.â
As they entered the mall, a luxury store had its entrance roped off.
Leanne and Larissa approached, and the manager, all smiles, welcomed them inside.
Leanne thought Larissaâs VIP status got them exclusive treatment until she saw Curtis. lounging on a sofa, casually flipping through a magazine.
Curtis was playing his cards close to his chest, using situations she couldnât walk away.
With Larissa there, Leanne couldnât just turn around and leave.
Curtis put down his magazine and greeted Larissa, his gaze naturally drifting over Leanne. With a slight frown, Leanne treated him like he was not there.
Curtis observed her for a moment, feigning concern. âWhy the long face? If one of the sales associates isnât to your liking, I can have them step out.â
Sensing the tension, the sales staff looked bewilderedly at Leanne.
Leanne quickly reassured them with a smile. âJust dazzled by the choices, trying to
decide.â
Under her breath and out of sight, she shot Curtis a glare.
He dressed casually, his shirt slightly unbuttoned, giving off a relaxed vibe.
When catching her glare, Curtisâ eyes narrowed slightly, a teasing smile on his
lips. âWhatâs this, throwing seductive glances my way in broad daylight?â
