Chapter 236
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 236
Curtis was left speechless.
âCome on. When have I ever had a beer belly? Leanne, have you not had your hands all over my abs or what?â
Jadaâs mouth hung open in shock from her hospital bed.
In front of the kid, Leanneâs face flushed, her fingers tensing inside her coat pocket, âCan you not talk nonsense?â
âNow youâre shy? Werenât shy when you were all over me.â
Leanneâs face got even more tomato-like, shooting him a death glare, âCan it.â
Curtisâ gaze slid over her flustered face, actually enjoying the sight.
She was genuinely innocent, yet clearly had a thing for him. Her beautiful eyes were sneaking peeks at his midsection as he stepped out the shower.
Offering herself timidly, too bashful to initiate, requiring Curtis to guide her hand towards
him.
Her eyelashes fluttered gently as she touched him, like the sensitive wings of a butterfly.
Suddenly, Curtis was recalling the soft touch of her fingertips tracing paths across his
lower abdomen, an indescribable sensation.
Being compared to a less flattering figure didnât bother him as much anymore.
Glancing at Jada, his adult conscience pricked him, albeit slightly, âCover your ears, kiddo. Weâre about to discuss some PG-13 stuff.â
Jada obediently covered her ears, her understanding unclear as a sneaky smile played on her lips.
Leanneâs ears turned beet red, the blush spreading visibly.
She grabbed Curtis by the arm, pulling him out of the room.
He followed her willingly, making sure to close the door behind them.
Leanne dragged him away, not stopping until they were far from the room, then turned to hiss at him, lowering her voice to avoid being overheard, âCurtis, are you out of your mind?â
Curtis chuckled, laid back, âCanât you find some new ways to chew me out? Want me to show you a few?â
Leanne was never good at hurling insults.

Chapter 235
After glaring at him for a bit and remembering his kindness towards Belinda and Jada, her anger cooled somewhat.
âYouâre the one supporting Belinda and Jada, right?â she asked.
Curtis looked at her with a lazy yet affectionate gaze, humming in affirmation.
âWhy?â Leanne pried further.
If it was just about doing a good deed, why specifically help Belinda and her daughter?
Curtisâ expression turned serious, âIt involves some family secrets, and I was planning to tell you. Too many ears here, come closer.â
Saying this, he opened the door to a fire escape, looking back to signal Leanne to follow.
Hesitant, she still walked over.
Curtis gave her a look, releasing the door. As it creaked closed, he pinned her against the
wall.
Curtisâ voice, low and teasing, floated down to her, âHow could you fall for that?â
She shouldâve known better than to trust him at all.
âIâm an idiot, right?â Leanne said, âI wonât make that mistake again.â
âItâs okay, donât be mad.â Curtis, having riled her up, now tried to soothe her, âI wasnât lying. The secret is about you.â.
Leanneâs chin was lifted, her guard completely down, meeting his deep gaze.
Curtisâ eyes held a gentle amusement, âYou know, Iâm not the charitable type. I do good deeds expecting something in return. I helped them, so how will you repay me?â
She shouldâve known. He, of all people, would not act without seeking something in
return.
But it wasnât Belinda and Jadaâs gratitude he was after.
He was too close, his unique scent enveloping Leanne. Back against the cold wall, her lips tightened.
âWhat do you want?â
urtisâ arm around her waist tightened, bringing her closer, his fingertip gently parting her ips, his voice coaxing, âHow about a kiss?â
