Chapter 268
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 268
Leanne spent the day picking a date. After work, she took Joy and Selina to Crystal Cove
Villás.
It had been a while since she last visited, and the house felt a lot emptier than when she
left.
Joy burst through the door and headed straight for the second-floor walk-in closet, rummaging through bags as if she were on a raid.
It was Selinaâs first visit, and she excitedly ran around exploring.
âThis house is gorgeous, way better taste than my dad!â
âI love the color of these hardwood floors!â
âAnd this lamp is amazing!â
Each lamp in the villa was a designerâs custom creation, unique in design.
The grand chandelier in the high-ceilinged living room was breathtakingly beautiful, dazzling like the Milky Way.
And the lamp by the wall, shimmering like a mermaidâs tail, caught Selinaâs eye.
âI want that one!â
Leanne hadnât expected her to fixate on a lamp looking up at the wiring on the ceiling: âIf you like it, take it.â
âLet me call someone.â Selina immediately took out her phone, calling for help while saying, âThe decoration in this house could buy another mansion. Itâs a shame to sell it. Youâre not exactly short on cash. Why not keep it?â
Because living here hadnât been happy for her. It was all memories, no matter good and bad.
âItâs of no use keeping it. I wonât be coming back.â
Better not to leave anything for herself to reminisce about.
She was too prone to nostalgia.
Leanne went to the bar to get a glass of water and noticed a half-full cup already sitting on the counter.
She always cleaned and put away her cups. Laura, when she was around, cleaned diligently too. Theoretically, that cup shouldnât have been there.
The water was cold, its temperature revealing nothing about how long it had been there.

Curtis might have forgotten to put it away after taking some medicine last time he was
here.
Leanne washed the cup and put it back.
Upstairs, Joy had bags scattered all over the walk-in closet, lying serenely in the middle with her hands clasped over her stomach.
It was a somewhat eerie sight.
âWhat are you doing?â
Joy was contemplating life, âIâm thinking, with a husband who never comes home, giving me more pocket money than I can spend, living in a mansion, driving luxury cars, buying Hermes whenever, and having more jewelry than I can wear, isnât this the life Iâve always dreamed of?â
Leanne was at a loss for words.
Put that way, there really wasnât anything wrong with that kind of life. If onlyâ¦
âItâs just a shame you love him.â Joy sighed, âIf you didnât, it would be perfect!â
Joy turned to Selina with a quiz-like expression, âWhat does this tell us?â
Caught off guard, Selina said, âIt means youâre not fit?â
Joy kicked her, âIt means a woman should go after a manâs money. Those who go after love end up with nothing, but chase money and youâll have more than you can spend.â
Selina was almost convinced, âThat makes sense.â
âDonât fill Selinaâs head with that thinking. Sheâs still young,â Leanne interven up, âLetâs clean up and go have dinner.â
âSheâs not young at all,â Joy protested. âWhen she played house as a kid, sheâ figured out to have two husbands. One is to make money and support the fam other is to look after the house and pamper her.â
