Chapter 272
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 272
Leanne hadnât even gotten a word in when Lisa, clearly impatient, blurted out, âWe were here first! Thereâs something to be said about first come, first served.â
She then played her trump card, âDo you still want your son or not?â
Albert, clearly under her thumb, hadnât expected an interloper to throw a wrench into his plans. Initially hoping to haggle, he now hurriedly told the agent, âWeâre not done negotiating. Iâll take it at the asking price. Itâs not like I canât afford it.â
âJust a moment,â Hans said before stepping aside, phone to his ear, seemingly seeking the competitorâs opinion.
He returned swiftly, his words still directed at Leanne.
âNo matter what Albert offers, we will top it by an additional ten percent.â
This wasnât an auction but a property sale. When did people bid like this?
Leanne had a feeling something was up.
Both Lisa and Albert had a sour look. Who was this big spender, snapping up a house without trying to bring the price down and even putting more on the table? Was he nuts?
With a smile, Hans looked at them, âIf you two are willing to raise your offer, please make a decision quickly. Mr. Richardson is in a hurry to get to a meeting.â
Albert changed his expression slightly, âWhich Mr. Richardson?â
âThe one youâre thinking of,â Hans replied, his gaze carrying a subtle hint of meaning. âBy the way, Mr. Richardson asked me to tell you, he heard your wife is recuperating in Hawaii. Heâs flying out there in a couple of days and wouldnât mind paying her a visit. If you have any messages for your wife, heâd be more than happy to deliver them.â
Just five minutes ago, Albert was all high and mighty, but now he coughed awkwardly, his arrogance deflated, his eyes darting between Leanne and Hans, his speech stuttering.
âUh, I forgot to ask, which Mrs. Richardson might you be?â
Before Leanne could respond, Hans, as if just remembering, said, âOh, I also forgot to mention, this lady here is Mr. Richardsonâs wife.â
Albert became awkward, even a bit bizarre, âSo, youâre selling a house to your husband? Is this some kind of internal transaction just for fun?â
Leanne was equally puzzled by Curtisâ unpredictable whims.
The day he said he could sell it to him, he refused outright. Now he was back throwing money around.

Chapter 272
Hans, speaking on behalf of Mr. Richardson, said, âMr. Richardson mentioned he takes a personal interest in the real estate marketâs development and is quite saddened by the current slump. He wants to contribute in his own small way.â
Leanne and Albert was speechless.
Really? That was how they were killing their time?
Albertâs wife had been in poor health, unable to have more children after their daughterâs birth, which had been a strain. As he got older, the absence of a son became a sore spot.
Curtis was indeed capable. After Blue Beacon Collective went public under ElitePinnacleâs management, its value soared, as did his net worth, making him a bit too confident. At al dinner party, he ended up taking Lisa home, more by accident than design.
It was supposed to be a fleeting affair, but to everyoneâs surprise, she got pregnant with
his son.
With his wifeâs health failing and not expected to survive till the next Christmas, he started getting ideas.
But harboring ill intentions was different from causing a scandal in front of his wife. After all, it could mean losing half his fortune.
He couldnât afford to offend Curtis, nor outbid him.
For Albert, the Crystal Cove Villas were the limit, something to mull over. For the Richardson family, it was merely a rather nice house.
Hastily, Albert pulled a reluctant Lisa away.
