Chapter 301
Hold My Tear, I’m Getting My Wife Back! ( Leanne Castillo )
Chapter 301
Leanne had just left another message on Calebâs voicemail when her phone finally rang. âWhere did you get those photos you texted me?â she demanded as soon as she picked
Calebâs voice was tinged with caution, âMadam, perhaps it would be best to discuss this with Mr. Richardson.â
Curtis was lounging on the sofa at Crystal Cove Villas, with a mask covering his face, engaging in a staring contest with a cat sitting nearby.
The cat looked wary, its wide eyes fixed intently on him.
âDonât look at me like Iâm a stranger. I didnât choose you, but since you were born to her, that technically makes me your dad.â
Legs crossed, Curtis tried to reason with the cat, âFor my happiness, a little sacrifice from you isnât too much to ask, right?â
The cat just stared.
Leanne had stood Amy up. As compensation, she had agreed to cover Amyâs coffee runs for the next week.
Leanne parked in front of the villa and hurried up the steps, instinctively placing her finger on the biometric scanner. It struck her only as the door swung open that the place now belonged to Curtis.
She was too familiar with the setting.
As she entered, Curtis was already turning to look at her.
Would it be too silly to step out and knock again?
Leanne decided against it and walked straight in. Scanning the room and not spotting the cat, she blurted out, âWhereâs the cat?â
Curtis frowned, âArenât you going to greet me first?â
âYou look alive and well,â Leanne shot back, dispensing with formalities. âHowâs the cat?â
Curtis couldnât help but chuckle at her directness, âJust like me, alive and well.â
Leanne paused, then pressed, âWhere is it now?â
âIn its room,â replied Curtis.
Leanne walked toward the room she had designated for the cat. As she approached, the cat, perhaps hearing her, came out on its own, sniffing her and recognizing her scent before affectionately rubbing against her hand

Chapter 301
Leanne picked up the cat, stroking its head as she asked Curtis, âWhere did you find him?â âMathewâs gotten too clumsy to handle the lively pair at his place, so he sent this one. back,â Curtis explained, watching the warm scene before him, content with his strategic
win.
âDo you want him?â
Before Leanne could respond, Curtis added lightly, âIf you donât, I might just have to let him. go.â
Leanne, who had rescued the cat herself, didnât plan on letting it go back on the streets. again.
Now that she lived alone, she could take care of a cat without worrying about Curtis.
âIâll take him.â Her response was quick and firm.
People were not like cats. Curtis, who had no chance to enter Golden Grove Manors with a fever, felt a twinge of jealousy, âYou take the cat, but what about me?â
Leanne ignored him, picking up the cat.
Curtis stood and brought over the cat carrier from Mathewâs, waiting as Leanne placed the cat inside and zipped it up. He grabbed the carrier before she could lift it.
Curtis held the carrier just out of her reach, âDid you forget? This house is now in my name, which theoretically makes everything in it mine,â he glanced at her with a sly look, âincluding this cat.â
It was another one of his traps.
Leanne wasnât surprised by this turn of events, âWhat do you want now?â
Having found her weak spot, Curtis wasnât about to let it go without leveraging it.
âTake me off your blacklist.â
Leanne was speechless and pulled out her phone right then, deleting him from her
blacklist.
âAre you satisfied?â
