“Hello, Mr. Groom,” Ananya said with a teasing lilt in her voice, walking up to him confidently. Her smile was radiant, but there was a mischievous glint in her eyes that Aditya didn’t miss.

Aditya turned his head slightly, his sharp features impassive. “I have a name,” he said coldly, his tone making it clear he wasn’t in the mood for games.

“Alright, Mr. Aditya,” she replied, unfazed, emphasizing his name with mock seriousness.

She extended her hand with a grin that was impossible to ignore. “I’m Ananya. I guess this is our first talk.”

Aditya looked at her hand but hesitated for a moment. Despite himself, he finally took it, noting how small and warm it felt in his.

A strange thought crossed his mind—how well it fit with his—but he shoved it away instantly, masking the flicker of hesitation with a curt nod.

“Yes, it is,” he said, his voice devoid of emotion.

Ananya tilted her head, studying him. “Do you always talk like that, or is it just because it’s me?”

Aditya’s eyes narrowed. “Like what?”

“Like you’ve been forced to have a conversation and you’d rather be anywhere else,” she quipped.

“I’m not in the habit of entertaining unnecessary small talk,” he replied sharply, releasing her hand as though it had burned him.

“Well, aren’t you a delight,” Ananya muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes.

She crossed her arms and leaned slightly closer, lowering her voice so only he could hear. “Here’s a tip: you’re getting married, Mr. Aditya. A little charm wouldn’t kill you.”

Aditya’s jaw tightened. “And here’s a tip for you, Ms. Ananya. You should focus on being less of a nuisance.”

Ananya blinked, taken aback for just a moment, before she recovered with a smirk. “A nuisance? That’s a strong word for someone you’ve just met.”

He gave her a hard stare, his eyes cold and calculating. “I don’t need to know someone long to recognize trouble.”

“Trouble?” Ananya laughed, her voice soft yet challenging. “Well, at least I’m interesting. You, on the other hand, could put a rock to sleep.”

Aditya’s lips twitched, almost as if he were about to smile, but he caught himself. “I’m not here to entertain you.”

“Clearly,” she shot back, her tone laced with sarcasm. “But don’t worry. I’ll be around enough to keep things lively for the both of us.”

His expression darkened. “Don’t count on it.”

Ananya stepped closer, closing the distance between them, and smiled sweetly, though her eyes sparkled with defiance.

“Oh, I’m counting on it, Mr. Groom. After all, you can’t exactly get rid of me now, can you?”

Aditya stared down at her, his height giving him the advantage, but Ananya didn’t back down.

The air between them felt charged, as if the room had grown smaller, the sounds of the wedding preparations fading into the background.

For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. Then, with a sharp inhale, Aditya stepped back. “Stay out of my way,” he said coldly before turning and walking away.

Ananya smirked watching him go, with her hands crossed.

Aaryansh stood at a distance, his gaze fixed on Amrita, who was happily chatting with Geeta and Rukmini. He seemed lost in her world, his thoughts far away.

From behind him, Divya, Ananya, and Ishika approached, their curious smiles signaling mischief.

“Pretty, isn’t she?” Divya teased, her voice breaking the silence.

Aaryansh nodded, a soft smile tugging at his lips. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he barely registered her words.

“But does she like you though?” Ananya asked, tilting her head. Her question earned her a light slap on the head from Ishika.

Unbothered, Aaryansh continued smiling. “I don’t know, but…” His grin widened, and his eyes sparkled. “She smiled at me today. That’s all I need—it’s the best moment of my life.”

“Ohooo!” The three girls chorused, their teasing tone snapping him out of his daydream.

Startled, Aaryansh blinked, realizing he had been speaking aloud. His expression of shock only made the girls laugh harder.

Ananya leaned closer, grinning wickedly. “Wah, bhaiya! You’re head over heels for Ritu, aren’t you?”

Aaryansh’s cheeks flushed, a rare sight.

“You should talk to her, Aaryansh!” Ishika suggested, her smile encouraging.

“Call me Aaryan, bhabhi,” he replied, his tone light yet respectful. “Talking to her? That feels like climbing a mountain…”

Divya smirked. “Climbing a mountain? Seriously, Aaryan? You’re a big CEO! You can take down your opponents without blinking, but talking to a girl makes you nervous?”

Aaryansh chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Enemies don’t smile at me like she does. That smile… it makes me forget everything.”

The three girls exchanged amused glances.

Ananya leaned in closer. “So, what’s the plan? Are you just going to stand here and stare at her forever?”

Aaryansh sighed. “For now, yes. It’s safer this way.”

“Safer? You’re impossible!” Ishika said, throwing her hands up.

“Safer for whom?” Divya asked with mock seriousness. “You or her?”

“Both,” Aaryansh replied with a grin. “If I mess this up, I’ll lose the one good thing in my life. And if she rejects me, well… I’d rather not think about that.”

Ananya groaned dramatically. “You’re such a coward, bhaiya. I’m going to talk to her for you!”

Before Aaryansh could stop her, Ananya started walking toward Amrita.

“Aaryansh, she’s your sister-in-law,” Divya pointed out, laughing. “You should’ve known she’d meddle.”

Panic flickered in Aaryansh’s eyes as he watched Ananya approach Amrita. “She wouldn’t…”

"Stop her!" Aaryansh hissed, but Ishika and Divya shook their heads, enjoying his discomfort too much.

“Relax, Aaryan,” Divya said. “What’s the worst that could happen? Amrita might actually like you.”

“That’s not funny,” Aaryansh muttered, his usual calm unraveling.

Ananya reached Amrita, her bright smile a sharp contrast to the stoic, unreadable expression Amrita wore. She tapped Amrita on the shoulder, startling her slightly.

Amrita turned back to look at Ananya..
