Chapter 21- Asher

I was playing on my X-box when I got a message about an early morning pack meeting from Leo in

the mind link. I don’t know why but my heart did a little flip. What was that feeling? Uhh I would

have to wake up early tomorrow. I am Asher Wilson and I am seventeen years old. I have blue eyes

and brown hairs. My skin is quite pale. Well considering this whether it is supposed to be. When I

shifted for the first time more than two weeks ago, I was scared as hell. I mean it was incredibly

painful. But Leo and Stanley helped me through it. It is easy to shift now. The children in our

community are popping left and right into wolves and it is all because of those vampires. Every one

of us shifted in a mere span of a week.

The most exciting part of being a werewolf is finding your mate. I know it's only been a few weeks

but I want to find her as soon as possible. Only four of us in the pack haven't found their mates yet.

But we need to have patience. Our mates will be with us really soon and I am having a feeling mine

is way near than I thought. With that thought in mind I slept with a smile on my lips.

In the morning, I woke up and got ready to go to our usual meeting place. My heart is beating really

hard. Why I am feeling like this? I ate some breakfast and set off towards our meeting place. It's a

medium sized house, not too big, not too small and is a little distance inside the woods. It's hidden

from the outside by the dense trees. Only if you know the way, you can find it. As I entered the

clearing of the house, I saw that Mathew and Stanley were already there with the girls, the mates of

the pack members. Hmm why are the girls here?

"Hey" I said.

“Hi.” Mathew grunted. The girls greeted me and went inside. Stanley nodded at me.

“Am I late?” I asked.

“No they will be here in a minute.” Mathew has major anger issues.

“I met her a couple days ago at Elena's place. At that time too I felt this connection. I can't explain

perfectly but it's like the wolf in me is connected to her in some way.” Leo said irritated.

“She is my mate. I don't care what you feel about her. She is mine.” I growled.

"Geez dude I know she is not my mate. Calm down will you? It happened last night too. We were

fighting over something and she called me big brother by accident or I thought it was an accident.

In return I called her princess. It was like it's what I normally call her. It just tumbled out of my

mouth and she gasped in surprise. That was really weird. After that I heard her in the mind link. We

all did, except you, Stan and Mathew. I don't think she knew we can hear her though. She talked to

her papa and her brother, Ryder. Those voices seemed familiar as well. They asked her if she wants

them to rescue her but she said that we won't hurt her as we are still a family. There is something

really weird going on with that girl. She even knew what mates are. I mean...” Leo ratted agitated.

If she knew what mates are then why did she reject me? Does she not want me? Am I not good

enough for her?

“I even sensed a powerful aura coming from her when she got angry at Leo.” Ryan said “It was

similar to Leo's aura. She doesn’t smell like a werewolf though.”

“I don't think you guys need me here.” That guy from earlier said awkwardly. I still want to rip his

head off. “I will just go check up on Amy.”

“Oh no you don't" I snarled "How dare you touch her earlier?” I asked advancing on him. But Carter

came in between the two of us. “Get out of my way Carter.” I said trying to push him away but he

wouldn't budge.

“You are not hurting my mate.” He said growling at me. What? His mate?

A scream came from inside the house. Ryan dashed inside and the new guy followed. It must be Mia

then, Ryan's mate. The rest of us dashed inside after them. I saw the new guy holding my mate.

Abigail was crying with her face in her hands. Mathew engulfed her in his arms. Stan went beside

Riley. What is going on over here?

"Amy are you alright? What happened here?" The guy asked checking my mate. That drowned the

color out of my face. Is she alright?

She slumped on him. Is she fainting? My body froze.

"Amy" He called her but she closed her eyes. "Shit. Amy open your eyes."
