Chapter 152 - As You Wish
Temporary Husband: The Pregnant Wife Runs Away
Tang Xin woke up at five oâclock again, feeling as if all her bones had fractured.
She rubbed her forehead worriedly, wondering what her other self had done last night.
Itâs fine as long as she didnât wake up next to a naked man in bed.
She got off the bed and put on her shoes, pulling the curtains open. She stared at the dark sky and sighed lightly.
She always wakes up at this time now â it was something she couldnât change. Perhaps there were some habits she wouldnât be able to change in her lifetime.
It was early yet she couldnât fall asleep, so Tang Xin picked up the book âTen Month of Pregnancyâ from the bedside table and started reading. Although she wasnât so smart, she will work hard to be a new mother who could calmly welcome her baby.
In another room, Li Yunshen also opened his eyes in the dark. He used to wake up at seven oâclock but now he couldnât change the habit of waking up at five. It was as if there was a clock in his head and he would always open his eyes accurately on time and look to the other side of the bed.
How frustrating!
He put on his sleeping robe and headed straight to the study.
But when he left the room, he saw light coming out from a room near the end of the corridor.
Tang Xin was just starting to take in what she was reading when the door was suddenly opened from the outside, making her jump. When she saw who entered the room without permission, she quickly threw the book above the bed secretly.
âYouâ¦â
She quickly got off the bed and cautiously made sure her sleep dress was covering her properly. She watched the man who stood by the door in a black sleeping robe. The thin band on his waist tied loosely around his waist, slightly revealing his well-built chest, and his messy hair told her that he just got up. He looked like he was something between an angel and a devil, inexpressibly charming.
âHmm?â He let out a single syllable. Perhaps because he just woke up, he didnât look as cold as usual, but rather lazy. Even the way he looked at her was completely different, like a new person.
âIs there anything you need from me?â Although he didnât look invasive at all, Tang Xin was still anxious.
Li Yunshen walked in and glanced at the books on the bedside table. They were all the works of famous foreign authors. The poems of Rabindranath Tagore, classic contemporary novels for women: Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, and collections of Shakespeare.
He picked up a book and leisurely flipped through it before looking up, âYou want to be an author?â
Tang Xin froze for a second before shaking her head, âNo, Iâm only having a read.â
âThe sunâs not up yet.â He said.
He was still flipping through the book carelessly. There were occasional markings on the pages, her writing in both English and Chinese were pretty like her, clean and graceful.
âHm?â Tang Xin frowned in confusion as she pondered what he meant. She then understood and replied indifferently, âI just happened to wake up at this time so Iâm reading.â
âWhat were you reading?â He asked again.
Tang Xin suddenly became nervous, âThe one you are holdingâ¦â
âMemorize a sentence for me.â
Tang Xin was surprised. She thought he was joking but he attentively read the book, waiting for her reply.
âPage six, the eighth sentence.â
When Tang Xin was trying her best to recall what was the content of the book he was holding, he suddenly demanded a specific sentence.
Tang Xin frowned even more, trying to remember what the sentence he appointed was about.
âIn delay thereâ¦â
When she remained puzzled for a long time, he started the sentence for her and she never knew that his voice sounded so sexy and elegant when he spoke English.
âIn delay there lies no plenty. Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty. Youthâs a stuff will not endure.â
