Chapter 1061
Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)
Adler's voice rang out, silencing the crowd instantly. Jenna was caught off guard.
âMarry...â
Adler froze too. He had only meant to ask Jenna to be his girlfriend, but a few drinks in, he accidentally let his true feelings slip.
Just as Adler scrambled to take it back, the crowd erupted, chanting, "Marry him! Marry him!"
âI...â
Both Adler and Jenna were mortified. Jenna glanced at the ring Adler had given her, then at the cheering crowd, her face turning beet red. She stammered, âTodayâs Sophie and Colbyâs wedding. What are you doing? Get up!â
âI donât care! If you donât say yes, Iâm not getting up!â
Adler, clearly tipsy, was being stubborn. Jenna, seeing no other way out, reluctantly extended her hand and said, âAlright, alright, Iâll marry you! Now, get up!â
Adlerâs face lit up with joy as he slipped the ring onto Jennaâs finger.
Sophie, watching from the sidelines, almost burst out laughing. âMr. Adler! She said yes to the proposal, not to marrying you right this second!â
Adlerâs face turned crimson as he fumbled to remove the ring, but Jenna, in a hurry to leave, pulled him down from the stage. The crowd continued to cheer as Jenna dragged Adler to a corner, hissing, âWho taught you to propose like that? Iâm not even your girlfriend yet! And you... you propose to me!â
Jennaâs words trailed off as Adler suddenly leaned in and kissed her.
That kiss blew Jennaâs mind.
The words she had lined up disappeared.
After what felt like an eternity, Adler pulled back and said seriously, âYou said yes, no take-backs.â
âI...â
Jenna swallowed, pushing Adler away with a flushed face, muttering, âWeâll sort this out later! Just wait until we get home.â

ï¤Chapter 782 Meanwhile, Sophie felt a warm happiness for Jenna and Adler. Spotting a familiar figure in the corner, she whispered to Colby, âIâll be right back.â
âOkay,â Colby said, keeping a watchful eye on Sophie as she moved toward the corner before resuming his toasts.
Sophie walked over to the corner of the banquet hall. She hadnât seen Harold in days, and he seemed healthier than before.
âDidnât you say you couldnât come? Why sneak in alone?â
Harold glanced away, saying, âI just wanted to see.â
âWouldnât it have been better to give me the gift in person?â
âGiven my situation, itâs better I donât show.â
Harold looked down, noticing the diamond ring on Sophieâs hand, and said, âThat diamond suits you. Colby treats you well.â
âHurry up and grow up, and youâll have your day of happiness too.â
Harold frowned, âWeâre the same age, yet you talk like youâre years ahead of me.â
