Extra Bonus Chapter 1: May and Noah (Part 1)

This is part 1 of 2 of May and Noah's bonus chapter. There isn't a lot of Moah in this chapter but that's because this is sort of like an introductory thingy, to explain what's going on.

Extra Bonus chapter 1: May and Noah (Part 1) ~Introduction~

~May's POV~

"Come on May, I really want to go!" My friend Tess tells me as she follows me around the room while holding the flyer.

"Tess, I have a test in two days. I have to study, and didn't Ricky agree to come with?" I reply as I grab a glass and fill it with water.

This new amusement park is about to open and she has been asking me to go to the opening all week. I have to admit, it sounds really fun and I love amusement parks, I remember how much I used to love going to amusement parks with Noah...Before we broke up. But now I also need to study because if I fail this test I might end up failing the class and I don't want that.

"Come on you have been studying for the entire week, you deserve a break, and besides you can study tomorrow, and yeah Ricky's coming but he's a guy and he also said that he can't come at 7 and that he'll be a bit late. Please May, you're my best friend, how many times have I sacrificed something for you?" She asks, placing her hands on her hips.

"Let me think about that, oh that's right! None". I reply making her roll her eyes.

I think about it for a second before I finally make a decision.

"Fine, I'm coming with you, but tomorrow you're going to leave me alone with my beloved history book" I tell her, making her squeal like a child and give me the biggest bear hug known to man.

I sure love my crazy best friend.

"This is amazing!" Tess says as she takes a look around her.

I have to admit, it is an amazing park. All the rides are lit up giving them a beautiful glow, and due to the fact that it's by the sea, the ocean looks a hundred times more beautiful when reflecting the lights. Even the signs on the food stands and game booths are lit up and the beautiful, fluffy looking cotton candy and candy apples look so amazing that it makes me want to buy my own secret stash of the stuff.

"See, I told you it would be worth it! So, should we go eat?" Tess says grabbing my arm.

"Tess, we just got here, don't you want to get on some rides before we eat? We don't want any incidents to happen do we?" I ask raising my eyebrows.

"Can we at least buy a candy apple?" She asks as she looks at the food stand, may I add, drooling.

"Well, I guess I can't say no to that" I give in as we make our way towards the food stand.

"Okay, since you're such an amazing friend and decided to come with me, I'll buy you a candy apple, how does that sound?" She says, sending me a genuine smile.

"I love you Tess!" I say smiling back.

I may be the more mature one of the two, but come on, who can say no to free food?

"Alright, you wait here and I'll be right back" She says before making her way towards the stand.

In the meantime, I decide to sit on a bench and just take in my surroundings. Something about me that not many people know is that I love to just observe stuff. Sometimes I just sit down and stare at a place, taking in every detail. It's incredible how many amazing things one can find when truly observing something.

"I'm back with the apples!" Tess says, handing me one of the apples that she was holding in her hands. "This thing is amazing, I forgot how good these things are" She says, taking a huge bite out of her apple.

"Yeah, I haven't had one since..." I start off before stopping.

"Yeah, I know. May it's been 3 months, you've been acting so awkward around each other, I don't even understand. You used to be best friends." She says as she keeps munching on her apple.

"Thanks for reminding me Tess." I say, glaring at her.

"I'm sorry but I'm just saying, I'm sick of seeing the pain in your eyes every time you catch a glimpse of the guy" She continues finally looking straight at me.

"It's like you said, we've been best friends forever, how do you think I'm going to feel? We didn't even end things on a bad note or anything but things weren't going so well and we both decided that we needed a break from things. I knew it was bound to happen but I just didn't think it would hurt so much" I reply. "Can we just drop it and stop talking about him?" I say.

"Uhm, I think that's going to be a little hard to do" She says as she looks straight ahead.

And as I look up, I realize that I am one unlucky person, because sure enough Noah was standing almost right in front of us, walking, with Becca.

"Relax May, I'm sure it's nothing. You know that Becca's his friend just like how Ricky is yours, don't let him ruin our night" Tess says as she follows me towards the exit.

"Did I hear my name?" Ricky asks as he makes his way towards us. "I just got here, are you guys leaving already?" He asks.

"No, we're not. Come on May" Tess begs.

"Stop it Tess, I just want to go home and study for my test okay?" I snap. I instantly regret it when I see the look on her face. She didn't deserve me snapping at her.

"I'm sorry. It just hurts". I sigh.

"Okay, what's going on?" Ricky asks.

"He who shall not be named is here, with Becca" Tess answers as we make our way towards the nearest bench. "Now, you keep her company while I go pee. You better not do anything stupid, and May please cheer up. This was supposed to be your break night." She says before giving me a sympathetic smile before running to the bathrooms.

"May, listen to me. I know you love him but you can't let him ruin your night. You have no proof that they're on a date. I mean I'm here but we're not on a date are we?" Ricky says.

"Yeah, but that's different. Tess is here too while he's here alone with her." I reply.

"May, I know that Noah doesn't have any feelings for Becca. He's one my friends and so is Becca. I'm pretty sure he would have told me if he did" He says trying to reassure me.

"Maybe he didn't say anything so you wouldn't tell me" I reply.

"Well in that case, don't beat yourself up because of him. Let's get up from here and go have some fun and if we end up meeting him, than he can-" He starts off before being interrupted.

"Hey Ricky" Becca says as she and Noah make their way towards us.

Great. Just great.

I'm finally ready from my exams!!! YAAAYYY. I hope I actually passed though....Don't feel like repeating the entire year.

Anywhoooo, I hope you enjoyed the first bonus chapter. I know it didn't have a lot of action but it was like an introductory bonus chapter, the 2nd one should be published tomorrow so that I don't keep you waiting for so long and I swear that it's going to be action packed and feels packed and any kind of packed there is! (The good kinds)
