Chapter - 10

Arjun POV:

It's 9 in the morning and I am the most angriest person now . I was waken up 6 in the morning just to pickup the Dixit family from the airport . They were coming from Mumbai .

Their flight  was at 4 in the early morning, like seriously who travels that early. And my mom woke me up at 5 in the morning just because I take time to wake up.

I have to go pickup the family when their own son lives in the same city and can't pickup because he was out of station for some stupid work .

And the most lovely part is he will also be joining us in the afternoon.

The most Happiest day of my life .

And then I get the news that they have missed their flight and will be coming from another flight  which will start at 7 . I am missing my early morning sleep.

And now the time has arrived so I will go to the airport to pick them up .

I reached before the flight arrived and was waiting for them outside the airport

Then I see one person in the whole crowd wearing a nyra cut white top with a jeans paired with cute jhumkas which match her dress. And then by the dress i identify her . Naina Dixit

The more she comes close the more I observe her , she is carrying he small backpack with her as usual and earphones in her ears. Must be listening to music.

Then I see Veerendra uncle and Meena aunty beside her . He has really changed a lot in these many years . But aunty is really a charming lady . She is the same as before.

They notice me from the far and I wave my hand at them and started to move towards them .

" Hello uncle , hello aunty. How are you doing?" I ask taking the suitcase from him .

" Hello beta , I m good how are you? You have changed a lot . Grown up man ." Smiles uncle .

" I'm fine beta , I missed you so much" saying this aunty hugs me . I definitely missed her so much .

I break the hug and look at Naina who was already staring at me with a smile .

" Hey Naina "  definitely a awkward greeting .

" Hi Arjun" my name never sounded this good .

After all the meeting and greeting I take the bags and move towards our car . Settling the luggage into the car , we all take places inside the car.

Uncle sits beside me as Naina and aunty sat at the back . I started the engine and drove towards house .

There was silence inside the car until Uncle decides to break it.

" Tell me Arjun how's life going?  Are you still playing cricket? "

" Yes uncle cricket is my love and I can't leave cricket"

" Good someone doesn't leave their passion " .

And I know who is that someone .

" Any girlfriend?" Asks aunty from behind and my heart comes to my stomach as I applied the sudden break .

Everyone was shocked and I apologized then and started again.

" Is it a yes Arjun, if yes tell me i will support you "

" No aunty there is nothing like girlfriend. Present I just want to focus on my career" I say as I look through the mirror  at Naina who was looking outside , trying to control her blush ,  I guess .

After a few minutes of driving we reached out home . I got down from the car to take out the luggage.

As we entered our house my mom and dad came towards the entrance.

Both uncle and dad looked at eachother for a few seconds and hugged eachother. It was really an emotional moment for them. They didn't cry but I can see the pain behind their smile.

And on the other hand aunty and mom were busy talking and smiling. They were really happy and on the urge to cry if we disturb them . Just then we hear a loud scream from the stairs . This girl won't stop shouting.

" Nainaaaaaa" Sri came running and hugged her . Both look  happy together. Then Sri met uncle and aunty and everyone settled in the hall.

" I think you all should go and fresh up , until then I ll prepare the chai and breakfast for everyone" said mom . " No Sumitra wait , how can you cook alone for all , let me help you"

" These is no need for help , you guys seem very tired. You guys go and get ready ."

" Yes Meena I think you should get ready first then we can do anything, Arjun take them the guest room and Naina beta you can go with your friend to her room " said dad.

"Okay dad ."

Then everyone got ready and came down for the breakfast. I think my mom will prepare a feast for the two days . She literally prepared parathas , sandwichs , chole batture and my oats .

Then we all sat down to have breakfast. It went really well. Papa and uncle talked about many things about business, how they used to be in the old time . Damn i really missed this side of my dad . Mom and aunty were in their own world .

And I think i should not talk about those devils . How do they get so much energy in the early morning to talk a lot and laugh hard. I think I m the only person in this room who is silent.

But I was enjoying my view, which was sitting right in front of me . She looks so beautiful.

Later , uncle dad Naina and Sri left for the college to talk about their admission. I had to stay back because I was having some work .

(Later in the evening)

Everyone was at home . The elders returned from the college. Both Naina and Sri got the admission from the college and everyone was happy. Their college will be starting in 15 days and their parents are deciding what to do . And the girls were busy in planning a day out tomorrow.

" What are you thinking about it Veer . Ofcourse Naina will stay with us . Why are you making her to stay in a hostel when we are here for her "

" If it was a matter of 2 days or a week , i would agree Raghu , but 3 years . How can she stay 3 years here "

" But how can we let our Naina stay in a hostel veer , I can't let her stay in a hostel"  .

Then the door bell rings . Sri goes to take the door and I can see a man standing outside with a bag in his hands . Did he really dare to come again .

" Bhai came " said Naina and ran towards Arun.

Then Arun met with his parents and sat on the sofa .

" Did you guys decide where is Naina going to stay " he asked his parents who were giving a blank expression.

" Beta we are thinking that Naina can stay with us here "

" But why , no uncle thanks but Naina can't stay here "

" Arun don't be rude . Apologize him right now " said veer uncle in a dominating tone .

Yes , I like it when someone dominates Arun , whether it is any basketball match of the college or any competition in the college.

I like when the great Arun Dixit can't do anything and shuts his mouth .

" We can talk about this later , Arun beta you go and get fresh up " says my mom .  Wait , where will he stay .

The guest room is occupied by uncle and aunty and there is no other room left in the house .

" Ok aunty, where should I keep my bag ?"

" In Arjun's room "

"What " i shouted . No he can't stay with me . Arun and me in a single room . Impossible.

Firstly , it's difficult to stay with him in a house and now I have to share my room with him . I can't do this .

" No aunty , please if wanted I can sleep in the hall on the sofa but no I can't stay in his room . "

" But how can you sleep on the sofa it will be uncomfortable beta ."

" No problem "

" Arun don't argue , go to his room " again uncle dominates him .

But this time I didn't like this order.

I go near my mother " mom why did you tell him to stay in my room I won't share my room with him . Say him to move into guest room or anyother room but not my room "

" Shut up Arjun , where will arun stay if not your room.  He will stay in your room and that's final "

Now I will be waiting for the day when these Dixit's will leave the house .

Then I move towards my room . I can't believe we will be sharing my room my bed for one night.

Then enters Mr Dixit with his bag and a smirk on his face . I definitely know the reason behind his smirk .

He keeps his bag near my study table and removes his jacket and throws it on the chair . Then he jumped on the bed .

Seriously this guys thinks it's his own room and is throwing things as his wish .

Getting frustrated I go out from the room and move up to the terrace.

There I see already someone standing.

Listening to my footstep sound she turned around and it was Naina .

" Hey Arjun" she said .

" Hi Naina what are doing here "

" Nothing, sri and I were chilling but aunty called her so she went down "

" Ok " damn why is it so awkward between us .

Last time when she came to our house we were talking very freely but now it is really very awkward between us to talk .

" What stream did you choose in the college" I ask to break the silence.

"  I choose Bcom with finance"

" Wow , same stream then definitely we will be meeting a lot in the college.

If you want anything you can come and ask me anything. I will be there to help you "

" Thanks Arjun that's so sweet of you. You are still the same Arjun , sweet cute "

Now she thinks I m cute . Finally I got to know something what she thinks about me .

I hope we both become the same friends again as we were in the childhood .
