10.| Taken {Part 1}
Girl In The City
"So what's going to happen now that you have the shipment date?" I questioned the special agents in front of me.
I was able to get information out of Harold and now I was in a limousine with two FBI agents, driving back to my apartment.
"We are going to be waiting for them on that date and we'll catch them in while in the act." Special agent Darcy speaks.
"But you're not safe anymore. For all we know you could now officially be a target. "She says and I nod.
"So what happens now?" I question, feeling the fear rise up in my chest.
"You go home, pack, get some sleep and we'll take you Mr. Richardson to a safe house tomorrow morning. We will have people outside your apartments to keep guys safe for the night." She says and I nod.
The car comes to a halt and I bid goodbye and walk up to the elevator.
When I enter the elevator, I find an oddly tall, strange man. He seems scary is you judge by looks.
"Evening." I say and he stays silent.
I roll my eyes at the rudeness and arrogance of the few American men I've met so far.
The elevator doesn't stop frequently as it takes us up.
The elevator is filled with scary silence. As the elevator moves us, I feel burning eyes, frying holes into my head.
When the elevator reaches the 80th floor, I step out and find it scarier when the creep steps put with me.
"You live on one of these floors?" I say as I look around for some type of weapon, in case this is a murderer.
The man stays silent.
I keep walking, quickening my pace by the second.
"Wait a minute you brat!" The man shouts as he catches onto me and suffocates me with a clothe that has chlorine in.
I try to scream for help...but...sleep...seems...dreamy...

I open my heavy eyes as I try to decipher what just happened.
I sit up a little too quickly and feel as though I'd been run over a truck multiple times.
I look around my surroundings and notice that I'm in a cell that seems to be situated in a barn because of the raw horse poop smell and hay all around me.
"Somebody help!" I scream but that comes as more of a whisper.
My throat is dry and feels like the Sarah desert during its dry season.
I look down at my body and sigh in relief when I feel like no limb is out of place.
I'm still wearing my blue gown and stilettos.
So I didn't get raped again.
I silent thank the lord in prayer. I'm okay. I'm okay.
For now.
My self-conscious speaks and I fear starts to build up in my chest and throat.
Oh god what if they're still going to butcher me. What if...what if they're going to sell me like the others.
What if the FBI doesn't find the others.
A teardrop descends from my face with my acknowledgment.
"Don't cry sweetheart." An evil deep, groggy voice says as footsteps grow near to the cell.
A man walks up the cell and opens it. He walks in up close to me until his hovering above me.
He kneels down to look at me straight in the eyes.
As he stares a me with his piercing blue eyes, I try my best to avoid his gaze.
"Lethabile Tau. It's good to finally see you in the flash." He says with a smiling voice.
I grimace at the thought of this man knowing me and how I look yet I know nothing about him.
"You're quite the smart one aren't you?" He says and chuckles. "You got Richardson to spill his guts to you about our body and drug shipments." He says and I whip my head to stare at him right in the eyes.
"Jake." I whisper when I come to realization of this man.
"You're a good guesser aren't you?" He plasters a smug on his face.
"What do you want with me?" I spit with venom.
"I'm not sure. I'm still deciding on whether I should transport you at a valued price or use you as my drug transporter." He says close to my ear and I shiver.
"Now, eat so we can decide what your roll is going to be." He hands me a plate of food.
"You'll need the strength."
