Chapter 307
Married in a Flash Embarking on the Journey to Wealth
Chapter 307
Aurelia suddenly looked up and saw Leon in the jewelry store behind the glass wall. Her heart dropped.
A woman accompanied him, and they were holding hands.
However, Leonâs gaze was coldly fixed on her.
Her hands tremble involuntarily, causing her fork and knife to clatter onto the plate.
Aurelia had seen plenty of intimidating people, but Leon was the first man she found genuinely terrifying.
He appeared tall and handsome, wearing a rather gentlemanly smile. However, his eyes were filled with darkness.
He almost looked venomous, and she felt like she would be killed with a single misstep.
Aurelia felt breathless under his gaze. A hand suddenly extended before her, offering her a glass of
water.
âHave some water,â Leslie said.
âSorry, I donât know why this is happening,â Aurelia said uneasily.
Being stared at by Leon made her feel like she was prey.
âI ordered dessert. Try some,â Leslie continued.
Aurelia was puzzled.
âAre we still staying?â
â
She wondered if they should leave since they encountered Leon.
âWe havenât done anything wrong, so whatâs there to be scared of? Itâs lunchtime, yet heâs at the jewelry store instead of a restaurant. His intentions are clear to me.â
He thought it was disgusting.
Aurelia nodded.
âIndeed.â
A moment later, she saw Leon put on all the necklaces and bracelets she had just been eyeing onto the woman beside him.
The woman was moved to tears, but Leon kept glancing at Aurelia. He even gestured toward her neck with his hand as if to say she would look good wearing those pieces.
Aurelia felt a chill down her spine and quickly stuffed a bite of dessert into her mouth to calm herself.

The only relief was that Leon hadnât taken the ring she had her eye on for the woman.
Men were cautious when it came to giving rings, as they wouldnât want to trap themselves.
Aurella stopped paying attention to Leon next door and lowered her head to finish her dessert.
âIâm done. Letâs go,â she said.
âYeah.â
As they got up to leave, Leonâs gaze became both angry and resentfulâeven a bit sinister.
Even through the glass, his gaze felt like poisoned arrows piercing Aureliaâs flesh.
Aurelia couldnât afford to offend Leon, and she didnât want to involve Leslie, so she could only quicken her pace while holding Leslieâs hand.
After leaving the restaurant, Leslie slowed down his pace and looked at Aurelia critically.
Aurelia raised her head.
âIs something wrong?â
âItâs obvious that Leon came for you this time. Donât you have any thoughts?â
Leon was the young master of the Synder family, the richest family in Seacester. Plenty of women dreamed of marrying him.
It would be normal for Aurelia to feel tempted, but Leslie felt upset regardless.
He felt he shouldnât ask such a question but couldnât resist the urge to gain affirmation.
He wouldnât have been so nosy before.
Aurelia looked at him hesitantly and giggled.
âMr. Synder, I would think you are jealous if you asked questions like that.â
âIâm not,â he said immediately.
âI know. You couldnât possibly be.â
He fell into silence, feeling even more displeased.
Aurelia noticed he was not joking and took on a more serious tone.
âIâm married. So I wonât think about stuff like that. Handsome men are simply eye candy, but no one
is as handsome as you are.
The expression on his face eased. Yet, he still had a strange feeling.
When she got into the car, she fastened her seatbelt and waited for him to start the vehicle, only to notice that he had not yet gotten in with her.
âI need to use the washroom. Wait here.â

âSure,â she said.
While she waited, she unlocked her phone.
There was quite a lot of good news in the office chat group. Apart from Kimberly, Seth, who had disappeared for a while, was also getting married.
Seth was showing off his big house and new car, so the others asked him to share his wedding photos.
Seth ultimately sent a photo of himself in a wedding tuxedo.
âNo one asked to see you. Show us your wife,â someone typed.
âSheâs reserved,â Seth replied.
There was something clearly amiss.
Someone exposed Seth immediately, saying that Seth had married someone a decade older than him. He was spotted fawning over this woman.
Rumors had it that the woman had a son who was almost of age, and her fortune was already divided accordingly before their marriage.
