Chapter 27
Become the Richest Woman After Divorce
She glanced over and saw that Sandra was not in the box but dancing on the dance floor devotedly.
She shook her head helplessly and went to the bar to sit down.
âA beer, pleaseâ¦â
âBeer is not good enough for a girl like you. My treat, Miss. Are you alone here?â
Suddenly, there was a man beside her with a smile that made her sick. And he was looking at her as if she was his prey.
He snapped his fingers.
âGet her the most expensive one, on me.â
His move made him look like a seasoned lover.
Sophia pursed her lips. âNo, thanks.â
It was a rule not to drink from strangers in a bar.
With that, she was about to leave and go to Sandra.
Then the man narrowed his eyes, unwilling to give up, and grabbed her arm.
âYou donât know me, but I know you. You are Pierceâs exâwife. Why are you making me look bad? You are not leaving without this drink!â
Sophia impatiently shrugged off his hand as casually and nobly as usual and said in an extremely indifferent tone.
âWho do you think you are? Why should I listen to you?â
What she said pissed the man off, âWho do you think you are then? You are nothing after leaving the Clement family!
âIâm telling you, you have to drink this wine whether you want it or not!â
Hector had long heard from Nolan, his cousin, that Sophia would do anything for money.
Hector thought, âShe is just nothing after leaving the Clement family!
She must be anxious to hook up with someone else, isnât she?
Sheâs just better looking. If I pay a little more, she will do what I want.
If that doesnât work, Iâll simply force her to!
After all, she used to be Pierceâs woman, and I want to have a try.â
He beckoned, and immediately four or five strong men gathered around him.
Hector then moved the glass of wine towards Sophia. Then, right in front of her, he took a small tablet out of his pocket and put it right into the wine.
Soon, it disappeared in the wine.
Sophia narrowed her eyes, her face darkened, and her eyes turned extremely cold.
She thought, âI am so unlucky to run into something this disgusting as soon as I enter the bar!â
âDrink it and Iâll let you go. If not, Iâll let my men feed you!â
Hector thought, âSheâs just an unwanted bitch, and itâs easy to deal with her.â
He held his glass to her mouth.
Everything seemed to freeze.
She took the glass, looked down, and smiled. Then she said in a soft and meek voice.
âOKâ¦â
His eyes gleamed with satisfaction.
But the next second, something unexpected happened.
Her smile faded, and suddenly, she threw the wine in his face. Then she quickly dropped the glass directly on his head.
After a loud bang, the glass broke and dark red liquid ran down his forehead.
Her movements were sharp and swift, without any hesitation.
Her beautiful face looked somewhat cool without the slightest fear but with a little disdain and indifference.
He touched the liquid, froze in shock, and swore.
âFuck you, bitch, how dare you hit me?â
Chapter 27 Apology âWhat? Should she feel honored since Hector invited her to a drink? Is the Morrison family so powerful?
âYou have those dirty thoughts in your mind, so you bullied a woman? How could you? And how dare you make a fuss here?
âBah! You and Hector are really true cousins. You are the same type of people.â
Nolanâs face and eyes were cold.
âMs. Clayton, I donât think that Iâve ever offended you. Watch your words, please.â
Sandraâs identity wasnât a secret in the bar. Nobody dared to offend her easily.
Usually, her circle was different from theirs, so they didnât have many connections with her.
âYou offended me just now. You said those disgusting things first. Why canât I scold you?â
âYouâ¦â
Nolan was so angry that his face turned pale.
âPierce, there must be a misunderstanding. How can there be such a coincidence that he happened to meet Ms. Cruise? Donât fall for the trick.â
Beside them, Sophia couldnât help but snort. She walked forward and looked at Nolan up and down.
âTrick? Do you mean that I seduced him deliberately?
âHe brought those big guys to hit me. I donât think thereâs a Chapter 27 Apology misunderstanding. It seemed that it wasnât the first time. I wondered whether the surveillance camera captured the scene.â
She slightly smiled as she looked at the person in charge of the bar.
Then the person in charge froze. He had a fine sweat on his forehead. He didnât know how to answer the question at all.
He couldnât afford to offend the Morrison family. The surveillance footage was against them, he wouldnât offer the footage.
On the side, Pierce was angry and domineering. He pulled his collar.
âIf the surveillance camera is broken, just close the bar. Reopen the bar when the surveillance camera is back to normal.â
The person in charge of the bar panicked when hearing this. He didnât know what to do.
âMr. Mr. Clement.â
Compared with the Morrison family, he was more afraid of Pierce.
âItâs normal. Itâs working!â
Pierce looked at Sophia deeply.
âHow do you want to end this?â
Sophia didnât show respect to anyone. âCall the police. What he had done was terrible. The police wonât let him off.â
As Sophia said that, she took her phone out and called the police.
Nolan slightly frowned. He took a step forward, looking nervous.
âPierce, Hector is still young. Itâs normal for him to make mistakes. I apologize on his behalf.
Chapter 27 Apology âI will teach him a lesson later. We donât need to call the police.
âIt will bring shame to the Morrison family.â
Pierce glanced at Nolan coldly and said with indifference.
âNolan, you seemed to apologize to the wrong person.â
Nolan froze and then understood what Pierce meant.
He looked at Sophia with a frozen face. His eyes were filled with unwillingness as he gritted his teeth.
âMs. Cruise, I apologize on Hectorâs behalf, okay?â
He thought that he was humble enough to apologize to her like that.
The apology made Nolan feel embarrassed.
Sophia chuckled. It was obvious that he was forced to apologize. How ridiculous.
âYour apology isnât that valuable. I donât accept it.â
Nolanâs eyes instantly turned cold. He was overwhelmed by anger. He blurted out.
âI have apologized. What else do you want? Do you think you are still Mrs. Clement and everyone respects you?â
Pierceâs eyes were cold.
He said in a cold tone, âNolan, you have no right to judge the relationship between Sophia and me. You canât smear her.
âYou know the best what kind of person Hector is. Since his elders canât discipline him, let the police do the job.â
Chapter 27 Apology He got injured because of her. She must be moved and heartbroken, right?
