"I can't believe we got married by a monk who likes to skydive." Lisa said incredulously, back hugging Jennie as she watched Jessi, Jackson, Bambam, Kai, Felix, Aunt Kim and the Parks gear up next to an already geared up monk. "That's so cool."
"That won't be the coolest thing about him." Jennie teased out, smiling hard.
"What do you mean?" Lisa asked curiously, leaning over Jennie's shoulder to nuzzle into her neck, then she placed a small kiss on her bare shoulder. She was on cloud nine right now and she couldn't get enough of Jennie.
"Can't tell you yet." Jennie said with a playful giggle, her skin tingled from Lisa's kiss and she couldn't help but grab Lisa's arms to make Lisa hold her even tighter, leaning the back of her head on the front of Lisa's shoulder. She could feel Lisa's breaths on her neck and she couldn't think of a better place to be than right here, with her. How she got so lucky with her idiot, Jennie didn't know, but she knew she would forever count her blessings because of it.
"Why not?" Lisa pouted.
"Cus I can't, but I didn't want to lie to you so just know you'll find out why you'll really, really think he's cool in six months." Jennie said with a cute shrug.
"Baby brat." Lisa said sternly, Jennie could hear the pout in her voice. "I thought we said no secrets."
Jennie turned in Lisa's arms and placed her hands on the sides of Lisa's face, stroking it softly. Lisa's breath caught a bit, Jennie was looking at her with such love it took her breath away. She'd always looked at her like that, but it was on a whole other level now, incredibly intimate, like Jennie could see her bare and loved every part of her anyway. Lisa felt the same way.
"Exactly Lili. That's why I'm telling you. I don't want to keep secrets from you. I promised, but this is not my secret to tell. That's why I'm letting you know I'm keeping it for someone you love dearly. It's what they want. Do you trust me to know this is also what you would want?"
Lisa looked deep into Jennie's eyes and smiled.
"Didn't I practically tell you in my vows that we're the same person? Of course I trust you to know that."
"Okay, well, you're going to be a little annoyed when you find out but once you get over that bit you're gonna see this was the right move."
"Nini, what's that supposed to mean?" Lisa whined exasperatedly, she was impatient when it came to things like this.
Jennie shrugged and smiled at her, leaning up to kiss Lisa on the lips before responding.
"You'll find out in about six months."
"Ugh, I have to wait that long?" Lisa whined again.
"Lili, your attention span is even shorter than a seven year old high on sugar, why are you whining? You'll probably forget I told you this in like two minutes." Jennie said with a giggle.
"I will not forget!" Lisa said indignantly. She was about to make her case over how her attention span was perfectly intact and focused but she got distracted from her argument when she spotted Alice. "Oh, shit. Speaking of forgetting, I forgot. Alice is back, I gotta talk to Kai. Be right back baby." Lisa said abruptly, kissing Jennie quickly.
"Right, sure you won't forget." Jennie mumbled under her breath and shook her head at Lisa in amusement as she walked briskly away towards Alice, who had just made it to the top of the mountain again with Rosie. They had just done a jump together and just got back. Jennie found it so hilarious that Lisa was already distracted from their conversation, literally seconds after being so offended that Jennie pointed out it would happen.
Jennie also knew exactly what Lisa was going to do so Jennie made a call. She hoped she'd arranged everything in time for when Lisa would break the news.
"Hi! I'm so glad you landed safely. You're almost here?" Jennie asked when the line was picked up.
.....
"I'm a hundred percent sure Lisa's going to tell him as soon as he hikes up the mountain again. She's talking to Alice right now. Felix is waiting for you already to bring you up and you can surprise him as soon as he calls you. I really didn't know if I could get you here in time, this is perfect timing."
....
"Of course I did! I had to do this for the little king. I'm taking too much credit for everything though, this is all pretty much Lisa's doing. All I did was get you here. She doesn't know you're here too. Kai's going to be so ecstatic when she tells him! I'll see you soon!"
....
"Thank you. I'm so happy, you have no idea. Everything worked out in the end, for all of us. It's unreal how perfect it all is."
Jennie hung up the phone after talking a little more, only hanging up once she spotted Kai. She watched Lisa from the distance, she was holding the plaque Alice had given her behind her back as she waited for him.
"Bestie!" Kai shouted excitedly as soon as he saw Lisa. "That was insane! Oh my god. Do a jump with me? Pretty please? We can somersault off the mountain. You'll do it with me won't you? A bestie jump, Gong Yoo can take pictures of us. Jisoo can distract Jennie so she's not freaking out about you being reckless."
Jennie could hear him even from where she was at and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at that. She would have glared at him just to mess with him but she didn't want to ruin their moment. She'd have words with him later about instigating Lisa's recklessness and trying to go behind her back to do it on top of that.
Lisa smiled softly at him. Kai was literally a human golden retriever, overexcited all of the time, especially when he wanted attention and got it.
"Yes, but after I do something first."
"Oh no, are we out of alcohol already? I was a little worried about that. Especially with the way Jackson and Jessi were getting everyone to pregame on the jet. No one's been drinking since we've been doing the skydiving thing though, I thought we would be fine. I'll take care of it."
"It's not that Kai." Lisa said in amusement because Kai already had his phone out, jumping the gun as always just to be helpful.
Kai stopped, putting his phone back in his pocket. "Oh, okay good. What do you need to do? I can do it. It's your wedding after all."
Lisa swung back and forth, still hiding the plaque behind her back while she grinned at Kai, feeling a little giddy herself.
"That's the smile you gave me right before you shot me." Kai said seriously. "I might be slightly scared right now."
Lisa only smiled harder in response.
"Okay, really scared right now." Kai amended, taking a half step back and away from Lisa. "I think I should just jump off the mountain again and avoid whatever you're about to do with me right now for at least another hour."
Lisa giggled.
"Yep. Definitely jumping off the mountain now. I won't even bother with the gear. I'll take my chances." Kai said, backing up even faster.
"Wait Kai." Lisa said, almost full on laughing now.
"I don't know if I should. Whatever I did, I'm sorry! I swear." He said in a panic. "I won't do it again! Just tell me what it is though so I don't break my promise."
"Relax Kai, I just wanted to show you something." Lisa said, finally taking mercy on him. It was funny to watch him freak out, but she had messed with the poor boy enough. She finally shifted and showed him the plaque. "It's for the studio. I had it made and it's very important that you put it up immediately. It can't wait."
Kai reached out to grab it.
"Are you showcasing for someone already? Is that why you want it up now? I can take the jet tonight and be ready by morning. I'll call Mina to make sure the studio is nice and tidy.
She called earlier and said most of the new prints are up already so it's just last minute details I can arrange by the time we open. Who's coming?" Kai asked, rambling on and not allowing Lisa to even answer his questions because his mind was going a mile a minute. He glanced at the plaque as he talked.
"Is it a private viewing only or should I keep the studio open? This is really nice by the way. Not too showy and it'll definitely go with the prints you have up now."
Lisa shook her head at him, in mild exasperation that she found more funny than anything because of course he didn't really get it yet. Kai finally paused in his rambling and Lisa almost said finally out loud, because Kai had finally read the damn thing.
"Wait, Lisa, they made a mistake." Kai said, turning the plaque over to show her.
"What do you mean?" Lisa asked, feigning confusion.
"They put my name as an owner instead of the manager. At least it shows you won an IPA but how could they mix up the names? Where'd you get this? I'll take it back and fix it for you. You shouldn't have to deal with this stuff. I'll take care of it. That's kind of my job anyway, you should have just had me order it Lisa. You should have told me. Honestly, I probably should have been more proactive about things. You have credentials now, I should have ordered this as soon as you made me manager. I'll do better." Kai promised.
"If you do any better than what you're already doing now I'll really believe my theory that you found a way to clone yourself because I honestly don't understand how you can do it all without even breaking a sweat. You're giving Jennie a run for her money in the CEO and detail oriented department. You're a natural at this. And It's not a mistake Kai."
"Lisa, I know it took me a little too long to learn how to read when I was little but I can definitely read now. It says I'm the owner too. Look!"
"It's not a mistake pretty boy, because it's true."
"I'm sorry?" Kai asked, looking even more confused.
Lisa giggled and handed him the ownership papers she had Alice draft for them.
"I guess it's not true just yet, I still need you to sign the dotted line, but once you do we'll be equals. You'll get as much say in what we do with our business as much as I do, and we're splitting the profits 50/50 from now on."
"What? Our business? What do you mean our business?" Kai asked, his voice trembling as he read the papers. "You don't meanâLisa you can't be serious. Is this a joke?"
"Not even a little bit." Lisa said seriously. "It's our business."
"Our business?" Kai echoed again incredulously.
"Ours....Bestie." Lisa tacked on with a playful eye roll.
"Butâbut you can't. I can'tâ"
"But nothing Kai. You've earned this and then some. The studio wouldn't be where it's at without you, it thrived under you. I would have lost my momentum without you so it's ours now. This is for the best, it's a win win and you don't have a say in this so just sign the damn papers already so I can get back to being clingy with my wife."
Kai dropped the papers in shock and they flew away with the wind as he rushed to pull Lisa into a massive bear hug. Lisa expected him to do as much, thankfully she had planned ahead and had another copy for Kai to sign.
Lisa hugged him back, her eyes involuntarily welling up as she felt more than heard Kai start crying.
"Just when I thought you'd stop being my hero." Kai mumbled in between his tears.
"That won't ever happen. I'm the superhero of superheroes." Lisa joked to him, trying her best not to let the tears fall and get emotional too. She would never live it down. Not with Jisoo, and especially not with Kai. He'd probably bake her a cake on this day every year from now on if she lost it too so she discreetly wiped the corner of her eye quickly before anyone noticed as she scolded him. "Now stop crying you big baby. Don't make me regret my decision."
"Lis, are youâwell, are you sure?" Kai faltered. "You made my year for even considering me for something so important as helping manage the place, but, this is your dream. As much as I want this, I can't just take a piece of your dream."
"My dream is my wife. My dream is taking pictures. It's dancing. It's enjoying life with the people I love and that includes you now." Lisa admitted, her voice sounded vulnerable even to her own ears.
She swallowed hard because damn it she was getting really close to crying for real now, especially after seeing the way her comment sobered Kai up, because he knew how hard that was for Lisa to admit, to include him, her once arch nemesis as someone she loved now.
"I love you too Lisa. Your wife may be the smartest person I know, but Jennie's wrong about one thing. You've never been an idiot. Far from it. And you're right about the superhero thing, you really are the superhero of superheroes. If I could be even half as good as you, I know I've made it." Kai admitted honestly. "I want to be like you when I grow up."
"Promise me one thing?" Lisa pleaded him.
"Anything." Kai said without any hesitation.
"Don't ever be anyone but yourself ever again. Do you understand? Not even me. You're more than enough Kai, as your true self. You have so much to offer the world, you know that now right?"
"Thanks to you." Kai admitted with a boyish blush, he was finally coming around to being happy with who he was, and not just over his sexuality, but also as someone worth something, someone who had something to contribute. "I hope you know I'm going to annoy the hell out of you all night probably because I'm so grateful to you for everything, especially this. I'd start right now but I really, really gotta call my mom and tell her."
"I know." Lisa said in amusement. She was surprised he had even lasted this long, he was already fidgeting impatiently despite trying really hard to hide it. "Call her already."
Lisa didn't have to tell him twice, he pulled out his phone as soon as Lisa gave him the okay and practically screamed into it.
"Mommy! Guess what?! I really want to tell you in person but if I wait I'll explode so guess what?!"
Lisa watched him walk towards the edge of the mountain giddily as he waited for an answer.
"You're where?" Kai turned around with a look of confusion on his face which quickly turned into elation. "Mommy? Oh my god you're really here! I thought you were joking! How'd you get here? Nevermind, you can tell me later. Guess what?! I just got the best news ever! Guess!"
Kai's mom giggled as he embraced her and then kissed Felix on the cheek before asking her to guess again.
"What is it K.K?" She asked with a grin. "Just tell me."
"Lisa wants me to be her business partner! She wants to sign over half the studio to me! I'm going to pay her back though, I promise. I want to earn it. Are you proud of me?!" Kai asked hopefully, like all that mattered was to hear his mom say yes.
Lisa knew that to Kai, it was. His mother feeling proud of him for something he finally felt like he earned and deserved was more important than anything to him. Lisa felt someone next to her and she smiled, she didn't have to look to know it was Jennie. It was like second nature now, to know when Jennie was even remotely near her. She could feel Jennie's eyes on her the whole time when she had been talking to Kai and it had taken everything in her to keep her attention on Kai and not chance a glance at her.
"I haven't seen a smile that big on someone since Rosie discovered that a Michelin star buffet exists. Did you do that?" Lisa asked Jennie unnecessarily. She already knew the answer. The only other person it could have been was Rosie but Rosie was too busy being even more smitten with Jisoo than usual, which was insane, if Lisa didn't know any better, she'd think they had been the ones that got married today instead of Jennie and Lisa.
"No. You did. He's that happy because of you." Jennie said, smiling hard as Lisa threw an arm around her shoulder and Jennie snuggled into her, locking her arms around Lisa's waist.
"You brought her for him." Lisa said, turning to face Jennie.
Jennie shrugged cutely in response.
"I love you so, so much Jennie Kim."
"Jennie Kim-Manoban." Jennie corrected her immediately, giggling and blushing like a schoolgirl. She felt giddy.
She would never in a million years have expected to become one of those girls that flaunted their new last name any time they got a chance like it somehow made them better than everyone else just because they were married, those girls were silly and she used to make fun of them. Honestly, she still would, even if she was one of those girls now. And no, that did not make Jennie a hypocrite. She got the last name Manoban. It was different. Obviously.
She cuffed a Lisa, they got what's his name or other who's only good qualities would probably never come back after they went from the cute doting boyfriend era to 'don't give a fuck' husband who would probably let themselves go on top of that.
Jennie signed up for an eternity of romance, cheesiness, a goofball that simultaneously exasperated her and made her laugh constantly, delicious abs that were even way more delicious when Lisa was dancing, plump lips, an adventurous and creative spirit, glorious orgasms whenever she demanded them and orgasms whenever Lisa felt like it and Lisa felt like giving her orgasms alot. Jennie could go on for the rest of the year about all the ways she was going to be loved and pampered for the rest of her life.
What did they get? Not Lisa. And if you don't get to Lisa first, you're last, or whatever Ricky Bobby said. That man was a genius. Jennie was even more of a genius though, because she actually pulled it off. All the girls that were not Kim-Manobans now could just give up on love already and eat their hearts out because the damn last names were taken forever now.
"I think I might have just had a heart attack hearing you claim my last name like that." Lisa deadpanned seriously, her heart was racing in the best way.
"Good thing I'm going to be a surgeon then." Jennie teased her. "I guess I know what my specialty is going to be now. I have to be able to fix my wife's heart, because you're not allowed to leave me so cardiac surgery it is."
"Dr. Kim-Manoban, you don't really need a specialty, you fix everything. I think I'm immortal now because of you."
Jennie giggled again, her new name sounded even better when Lisa said it, and the doctor had a really, really nice ring to it.
"Me too Lili. Let's live forever? Together?"
"Together." Lisa murmured before diving in to kiss Jennie's lips. "Forever." Lisa whispered again, kissing Jennie even more deeply.
"Lili?" Jennie asked desperately, breaking the kiss for a second. She felt Lisa's arms wrap around her, bringing their bodies closer and chasing Jennie's lips. Jennie could feel her body practically vibrating everywhere they touched.
"Yes." Lisa answered the unasked question immediately once she was sated enough by Jennie's lips to be able to make it somewhere that had a door that locked before she ripped Jennie's clothes off.
Lisa grasped Jennie's hand and led her away, without saying anything to anyone else. She was aching to get somewhere private and she knew Jennie felt the same way. They were both clearly too desperate and didn't care enough about decorum right now to even let their guests know they wouldn't be coming up for air for the foreseeable future, if ever.
Jisoo's eyes snapped to them as they left, Chaeyoung was in the middle of a conversation with Alice and Jisoo really should have been a little more polite about it considering she was her sister in law now but Jisoo had been patient enough. This was her wedding night and she planned on making it memorable so she interrupted them and and grabbed Chaeyoung's hand too, much like Lisa had done with Jennie.
"Let's go chipmunk. Now." Jisoo said, leaving no room for debate. She'd only lasted that long out of respect for their friends, and also because if she disappeared with Chaeyoung before Lisa disappeared with Jennie she'd give away the fact she beat Limario to the punch after all.
Chaeyoung stopped mid-sentence and looked to Jisoo in confusion, wondering what had gotten into her because it was so unlike Jisoo to interrupt like that, at least with her and her family anyway. She'd interrupt Lisa and Jennie all day long just for sport. Kai didn't have a snowball's chance in hell to get a word in if Jisoo didn't want to hear him speak. But she'd never cut her off, or Alice for that matter. Chaeyoung almost started panicking, thinking something might be wrong but as soon as she locked eyes with Jisoo she understood. She swallowed hard and nodded, her throat getting dry all of a sudden.
"Okay baby," She managed to breathe out, dutifully following Jisoo without so much as an explanation to her sisterânot that Alice needed it, Jisoo had never been subtle when it came to her baby sister. She almost facepalmed as she watched them go. The audacity of Jisoo to actually think she was being subtle about stealing her baby sister so they could go bang. Shameless, the both of them.
Chaeyoung couldn't help but cling to Jisoo's arm as she let herself be dragged away, knowing exactly what was coming soon.
Her.
_________
"I love you." Jennie moaned as Lisa grabbed the bottom of her wedding dress and hiked it up to bunch around her stomach and then lifted her up, pinning her to the floor to ceiling glass windows.
The scenery outside was beautiful, if they cared to really look. They were high on top of the mountain and their room faced the mountain's drop off, there was lush green everywhere they looked and the stars were starting to twinkle. The temples were in a remote area so the stars were incredibly bright and visible in the billions, the full moon was the only thing outshining them. The night was ethereal. Lisa had only looked for about two seconds to make sure they weren't facing the side to the other mountain next to them or else an unsuspecting meditating monk was going to accidentally get quite the show.
Lisa didn't have time to take in the view much past assessing if the coast was clear because Jennie was captivating under the moonlight, her skin was soft and hot and flush already. Lisa wasted no time at all in entering her, greedily sliding Jennie's underwear aside with two digits that she buried inside of Jennie's wetness as soon as it was out of her way.
Jennie couldn't help how loud she was because Lisa was kissing her neck and those long fingers were deep inside of her, stroking her gently in that spot Lisa always managed to find in less than two seconds flat and Lisa was effortlessly holding her up and it was all just so hot.
"I love you so much Manoban. I love you." Jennie groaned out again, one of her arms was bent back beside her, her hand gripping the dresser next to her that she was using as leverage to help her move into Lisa while Lisa continued her movements and pinned her to the window. Jennie's left hand was cupped behind Lisa's neck, her fingers tangled in Lisa's messy curls.
Jennie pulled Lisa in to kiss her. Usually Lisa took the lead but Jennie was desperate. She was rewarded for her efforts by Lisa, who opened her mouth for her and let Jennie hungrily explore and nip and bite and suck. Jennie couldn't help but linger on Lisa's bottom lip, biting it when Lisa went deeper inside of her, going slow and steady and holding the pressure there so right that Jennie's thighs started shaking. She raked her teeth over that plump lip, savoring it as she pulled on it lightly and finally let it go. She couldn't help but let her eyes close tight as soon as she started to lose complete control over her body.
"Fuck Lili. Oh god. You're doing it just right baby. Like you always do. Yes baby don't stop, please don't stop." Jennie begged. "Keep fucking me just like that baby."
Jennie knew Lisa loved it when she vocalized how good she always did her. Jennie loved doing it too and she was not above shamelessly begging Lisa to have her way with her.
"Come for me right now. You're so sexy when you moan for me. I want to see how wet I can get you before you're so drenched for me that I'll have to open your legs even more so I can eat you up. So how about you be a good girl and do that for me now." Lisa husked out demandingly.
Jennie of course obeyed, gripping Lisa's neck tight as she came after a few more thrusts and Lisa's expert thumb rubbing delicious circles on her clit in rhythm with her fingers.
"Lili. Oh god Lili it's so good. Lili please." Jennie begged incoherently as she lost herself in ecstasy, her entire body vibrating and twitching involuntarily as she clung to Lisa for dear life when the wave hit. "Lili you too. I want you to come with me."
She really did, but she had no idea how to do that right now considering the most she could do was moan out Lisa's name as her orgasm hit and she saw black. It was wishful thinking that she even had the mental capacity to sneak a hand into Lisa's pants right now let alone move it with any sort of dexterity considering she had zero control of her body as her orgasm took her.
Lisa pressed herself to Jennie harder as Jennie wantonly writhed into her.
"We have all night for that. I need you to come for me again. Lay down and do as I say." Lisa husked out again, not allowing Jennie to really ride it out yet. Just so she could make Jennie come that much harder.
"Baby please." Jennie begged.
"Now Ruby Jane." Lisa demanded, eyes blazing with lust.
"Fuck Lisa, I love when you tell me what to do." Jennie admitted. "How do you want me baby?"
Lisa didn't respond. She stripped Jennie naked instead and grabbed her hips and squeezed Jennie's sides as she made Jennie turn and lay down on the bed, then proceeded to drape herself around her after she removed her own clothes, pressing her skin flush to Jennie's and started kissing her neck and slowly made her way down Jennie's spine.
"I want you at my mercy Nini." Lisa murmured between kisses. "I want you to do everything I say exactly when I say it."
Jennie couldn't do much more than moan and beg after that.
____________
"I love you." Chaeyoung moaned out as Jisoo pinned her to the wall, unable to say much else because Jisoo was making her feel so good. "I love you so much Kim Jisoo."
"Now baby. I need you to come now. Come with me."
Chaeyoung barely managed to open her eyes to see Jisoo fall over the edge and the sight of her was so hot Chaeyoung couldn't help but follow behind and do exactly that. Chaeyoung moaned so loud she was sure the people that lived in the city at the foot of the mountain heard her.
She didn't care though. She didn't even care if the monks heard because she was in bliss right now and her wife was going to take her even higher and higher, all night long.
________
A few things happened after their wedding. They finished out their trip with a bang. Chaeyoung got so popular touring that when they landed in Seoul to stay for a week, a group of fangirls holding Rosé signs were waiting for them outside of the jjimjilbang they had just gone to relax at.
Jisoo learned two things that day, one, she should have kept her instagram private. If you could even call it hers.
Jennie always teased her that her profile was really just Rosie's first official fan page considering most of the posts were either of Rosie singing, candids of Rosie's chipmunk cheeks while eating, Rosie cooing and talking to Joohwangie about her day or telling her fish how they have the best girl in the world (Jisoo adopted Joohwangie too on their one year anniversary), Rosie eating, drunksé's rare but always epic appearances, Rosie eating, Rosie and Jisoo, also, Jisoo and Rosie's weekly dates where Jisoo took pictures ofâyou'd never guessâRosie being cute while eating.
Jisoo had made the rookie mistake of posting a video of Rosie being cute and hugging the pillar at the jjimjilbang while she was pouting and gushing over how much she wished she lived there and practically drooled over all the food that they sold at the sauna for all the world to see.
Jisoo had found her so damn adorable and wanted to show off like she usually did. She didn't stop to think that her wife was getting really popular now and that her biggest mistake was tagging her too considering Rosie had hundreds of thousands of followers now, especially because she did not pay attention to the fact it was very obvious which jjimjilbang they were at. Or the fact that they were clearly still going to be there long enough for anybody in Seoul to just show up.
Luckily they had been respectful enough that they waited outside rather than hound them around the sauna.
The second thing she learned was that Pink Corp could no longer be just a silly Lisoo crackhead twin fantasy. The day of the jjimjilbang incident, she saw the very obvious perks of going ahead and making their 'security' company official. She launched it that week. Jungkook and Saeroyi became their first two employees.
Jisoo hired them to be Chaeyoung's bodyguards from now on with very specific instructions to not let any bras that did not belong to her anywhere near her chipmunk, in addition to their obvious bodyguard duties.
Jisoo had made a list of demands on how to handle Chaeyoung's security and told them that if they memorized all 211 rules by that weekend she'd give them a hefty bonus. They both did it in record time. The bonus was big enough for them to get a nice place close to Jisoo's house, which had both the benefits of being close to their 'job,' and living in a great neighborhood.
Lisa and Jisoo may have also recruited Ryujin to get onboard with Pink Corp, on top of working for Turtle Rabbit Games, which Ryujin was very much excited for.
They found another computer hacker named Felix to help her with the technological side of things since Ryujin couldn't always do both. Even though it was going to be a lot of work, it was all very lucrative for her, and by lucrative she meant she had just scored her dream jobsâgetting paid to make video games and for doing things she already did on the side with her mentor, Moonbyul. She couldn't have asked for a better career.
Jisoo went ahead and hired Moonbyul too after she had a five minute conversation with her the first day she met her while Moonbyul was waiting for Ryujin. Moonbyul was very selective with the people she trusted and even more secretive about her outside activities but since Ryujin had told her about what they would be doing at Pink Corp, she figured Jisoo was okay.
So Moonbyul ended up telling her how she had managed to charm Yongsunâwho funnily enough was now her wifeâinto letting Ryujin have access to the computer system of the mortgage company Yongsun worked for so they could 'tweak' some things. No one would know, Moonbyul promised, they were experts at this.
No one did know, and after Ryujin was done hacking the system, fifteen struggling families that had been on the verge of getting kicked out of their homes due to foreclosure, Ryujin and Moonbyul were now proud owners of the homes they had no hope of paying off in their lifetime thanks to the ridiculous and unfair interest rates and unnecessary fees they kept getting slapped with.
Jisoo figured those were some skills Pink Corp could definitely use. She didn't regret her decision of making Moonbyul her and Lisa's right hand person, especially because Moonbyul found a way to get someone to take the fall for Yoongi so they could get him out of jail. Yoongi was out and free, in desperate need of a job and more than grateful to them for getting him out of there that he didn't think twice about working for Jisoo and Lisa and signing all the thousand NDA's that Alice had drawn up for their new employees.
Moonbyul's guy had a free bed and a meal every day for the foreseeable future, which was perfect for his current situation, even if jail was were he had to go to to get it because he was now going to have the perfect alibi for the crime he designed. All he had to do was sit in jail for a couple of years instead of having to go into hiding, wait for his crew to pull off the scam he was the brain for, and then he'd get his cut, freedom, and would be halfway to Barbados 7 billion won richer. It was a win win for everybody.
Lisa may have also offhandedly reminded Jisoo that Suzy was an architect now. Jisoo got the hint, knowing Lisa wouldn't go anywhere near Suzy so she called her up so that Jendeukie wouldn't murder Lisa, then proceeded to ask her how feasible it would be for her to actually build a hidden facility with enough structural integrity to withstand a lot of pressure.
"What kind of pressure do you mean?" Suzy asked on the phone.
"You know, if I were to sayâmaybe buy a piece of Bukhan mountain and carve it out. For Turtle Rabbit games of course. We've designed a video game about a secret security firm that's a front for assassins for hire. They have a moral code of course, it's kind of the point of the game.
The bad guys are actually the good guys and vice versa. The players get to pick a side, they can be assassins or they get to be on the other team. They get to be one of the people who realistically rule the worldâlike a prominent politician, a big shot artist, rich people and the like that look like good people but are actually shady.
We got permission to base it on real people from the idols, politicians and socialites themselves so the game is already taking off. Yuna designed the renderings for the kick ass secret corporation in the game. We were thinking it would be a good idea if we'd make it real so the players could visit it in real life.
There's a lot of potential with what we can do with that, selling tours, doing gaming tournaments and big events, selling exclusive memberships to the place and all that. Lisa and I cooked it up and Yuna drew our vision. It's a really sick secret lair and it looks like it could be functional, but we'd need an architect to see if we can really make it real, what do you say? Take a look?"
Suzy wouldn't have said no even if she wanted to. Jisoo made very convincing points. Her first project being something of this size would be an amazing opportunity for a rookie architect, and if she managed to pull off designing it she'd be an architectural legend, considering how tough of a project it would be.
Jisoo couldn't help the smirk on her face when Suzy said yes.
"She's doing it?" Lisa asked.
"Yup. And I'm giving her an office next to Jennie while she works on it."
"Are you insane?! Jennie would murder me!"
"I'm saving you Limario."
"How is sitting my ex girlfriend next to my wife saving me! Wait, not my ex girlfriend, we never even dated. Jennie said so." Lisa finished matter of factly.
"If Suzy is right next door to Jennie it means she's not in your office cozying up to you Limario, duh! Jennie is going to have her eyes on her like a hawk the entire time. You're welcome, you won't be having to give Jennie reports as to why you took thirty seconds longer in the restroom, having to account for every missed second in detail every time your dumbass gets distracted and take too long washing your hands because you decided to try to make bubbles with the new soap we got again!"
"This is a terrible idea. I'm out."
"You can't be out, don't be a pussy Limario."
"Of course I can't be out, you made sure of it! Why the hell would you even tell Suzy what we're actually doing?"
"I didn't."
"You gave her our whole plan!"
"It's called hiding in plain sight dude. People only buy your bullshit when you hide it behind real shit. That's how I get away with the schemes chipmunk wouldn't want me to do, it's how I'm able to do it before she catches me and tells me to stop. I mask it in the truth first, and it's not lying per se.
We're just sort of omitting the whole truth right now. That part slipped our minds. Besides, we are going to do all of that for the game. We'll only use the bottom floors as our actual headquarters but that won't be for a while since we have to beef it up with secret tunnels and state of the art security and make it all secret lair-like.
Yeji and Yuna don't need to know the storyline of the game will probably eventually start to be inspired by some real life events. We can just throw them in there after the fact and that'll probably sell on its own. It's genius."
"We're so gonna get caught."
"Only by our women." Jisoo shrugged. "But by then it'll be too late and they'll just micromanage it and make sure we don't do anything too illegal. Which is why I have Moonbyul on the sketchier cases first. I think we have about a month before chipmunk catches on."
"Jennie is scarier than the government." Lisa deadpanned. "I'd rather get caught by the NIS than piss off Ruby Jane."
Jisoo simply shrugged, she made no arguments there.
Lisa scowled in response.
"Rosie is no walk in the park either when she's pissed off!" Lisa said indignantly. "She can be even scarier than Ruby Jane can!"
"I'm not worried about it."
Lisa gaped at Jisoo incredulously.
"I have a contingency plan, duh." Jisoo said rolling her eyes. "I'm not an idiot. You really think I'd do this without making sure I had at least five 'make chipmunk so happy that she forgets I've been bad and remembers why she loves me' backup plans? Honestly though, I'm pretty sure I don't have to do the five to fix it. Plan A is solid."
"And that is?" Lisa asked disbelievingly because as if Park Chaeyoung would just suddenly drop the fact that she and Jisoo were trying to get into the business of breaking bones for the good of the world. Jisoo's bat was one thing. Chaeyoung sometimes allowed Jisoo to 'lightly tap' someone before she shouted for her to stop but even then that bat was usually confiscated from Jisoo more often than it wasn't. Hiring people to work for them that could potentially become assassins? Whole other ball game and way more dangerous than an already dangerous bat.
"Alice is moving here. So are Mama and Papa Park. I've been working on convincing them for years. They've wanted to since forever, but they were too proud to take my offers to help them settle in and they didn't have the money just yet. Now that Alice is on retainer, she can afford to help them. They already said they'd surprise Rosie with the news in a month, which will be perfect timing. Also, I bought Rosie an aquarium." Jisoo added as an after-thought. "Just in case. It's a rescue aquarium. They rehabilitate sea creatures and set them free into the waters they belong to once they recover. She's so gonna love me for it."
Lisa facepalmed, Park Chaeyoung was totally going to drop the fact Jisoo was going to be into the business of breaking bones. The only thing her best friend had ever hated about Korea was that she lived so far away from her family in Australia. This was literally Chaeyoung's last dream, to always stay close to the people she loved, especially her family.
"Why can't I be rich like you?" Lisa groaned.
"The only thing that money could buy for you to pacify Jennie enough for just a smidge longer than an hour would be an unlimited shopping spree at Chanel, and a little over an hour is putting it generously, Then she'd bite your head off donning five inch heels, her most expensive dress and the fancy jewelry you bought her from there." Jisoo cackled. "Face it Limario, money can't buy happiness, especially not Jennie's of all people. You're fucked."
"You're the worst." Lisa pouted. "I shouldn't have encouraged you with this."
"Too late now Limario! You're all in now."
Something that they didn't find out until much later, was that the reason they had even met Moonbyul was because Jennie and Chaeyoung had already vetted her and encouraged Ryujin to bring her around. Chaeyoung had found out what they were up thanks to Saeroyi, who had a whole honor code he swore by which including refusing to lie to anyone. So when Chaeyoung asked him he told her exactly what Jisoo and Lisa were up to.
Jennie found out as soon as Lisa started asking questions about when her dad would be up for parole and then proceeded to ask all the names of the people in Jennie's family who tried to sue her for the money she got from her dad's nonprofit. She was so not subtle.
So Jennie and Chaeyoung got together and knew that since their wives were already so far deep into it that all they would do was make them be even more secretive. The best they could do was control everything behind the scenes and let them think they had no clue about any of it. Which was why instead of assassinating people, Jisoo and Lisa's company mostly exposed fraud, abuse and the like by exalted prominent people and leaked it to the media so they could destroy their careers and land them in jail after taking matters into their own hands. In fact, they were the reason a certain CEO who made YG entertainment was facing charges now.
Everyone at Pink Corp knew who the real bosses were. Everyone except Lisa and Jisoo.
As predicted, Jennie's non profit absolutely needed the second floor to Jisoo's building. It grew so much thanks to the tour and Jennie was able to hire enough staff that she didn't have to worry about it while she went to med school, Jieun absolutely had it handled.
Jisoo decided to buy another nice building and offer cheap rent for the people currently leasing from her because their individual endeavors were growing so much they needed the space. Jisoo's plan was that within five years, the Blackpink building would have three floors dedicated to Rosie's independent record label. Rosie had already signed her first artist and would start talks to possibly give a group and a soloist that she was interested in a record deal. Lisa decided to take up Rosie's offer of being the main choreographer for their idols so it was sort of a joint venture. Jennie's nonprofit occupied a few floors too. And the sub basement level was were the 'official' Turtle Rabbit Games programmers worked and the now defunct Limario Sucks Entertainment offices.
To Jisoo's dismay, Limario Sucks didn't even make it past the planning stage. Jennie shut her down within 24 hours of hearing that Jisoo was going to create a porn company and name it after Lisa just to fuck with her. Jennie got Kai to bolt Jisoo's office door shut, got permission from Chaeyoung to take all of Jisoo's consoles away and hide them in the safeâChaeyoung changed the code so Jisoo couldn't get into it, and managed to get Chaeyoung to freeze all of Jisoo's accounts so that she couldn't buy anythingâespecially not any video games. Jisoo never thought letting her wife have unlimited access to her money would ever backfire, but it did. Hard. Chaeyoung grounded her from everything for trying to sneak into the Turtle Rabbit Game offices to play something that very first week, Jisoo was truly in the depths of hell at that time, so much she would have jumped off of namsan tower if it wasn't for the fact she knew Chaeyoung would never forgive her if she died.
Lisa got it worse. Ruby Jane gave her the silent treatment for a month and withheld everything but cuddles at night.
"I didn't even do anything Nini! It was all Jisoo's idea!"
"So you're telling me that you didn't tell Jisoo not to put your name on hetero films?!" Jennie said angrily.
"That snitch." Lisa grumbled, then gulped hard, she could almost feel the daggers that Jennie was shooting at her with her eyes.
"So it is true! What's that supposed to mean Manoban?" Jennie said mockingly. "You wanted her to get girls to bang each other for you instead! What were you going to do, hold auditions?!"
"Niniiii," Lisa whined. "I didn't mean it like that. I didn't want her to actually do anything! We were justâ"
"âDon't Nini me! Couch! Now" Jennie pointed to the offending couch angrily, like she was already picturing two girls auditioning for Lisa's stupid lesbian porn film already. She was, and she was livid.
Lisa opened her mouth to argue, then promptly clamped it shut as Jennie crossed her arms, her face turning stoic. Which was even scarier than angry Ruby Jane. Silent Jennie was deadly. Lisa dejectedly shuffled over to the couch and plopped down on it, curled up into a ball and pouted. Jennie went to their room and slammed the door.
Lisa couldn't sleep.
Neither could Jennie.
Eventually Jennie shuffled out too, stomping all the way and making sure Lisa still knew that she was mad. Lisa sat up eagerly when she noticed Jennie, tentatively holding her arms out, Jennie shoved them away.
"Turn around." Jennie demanded.
Lisa pouted.
"Turn around Manoban!"
Lisa did as she was told and her heart jumped when she felt a small arm drape around her waist.
"You get to be the little spoon from now on, and I'm going to tell everyone you're not a top anymore." Jennie grumbled. "I love you, idiot."
"I love you more Nini."
"No you don't, traitor." Jennie pouted. "You're still grounded."
Lisa threaded their fingers together and smiled, eventually finding sleep once Jennie's breath evened out. Lisa turned around and Jennie immediately snuggled into Lisa's neck, Jennie's favorite spot, and clung to her, bunching her shirt under her fists. Lisa dreamt of ways she could make Jennie swoon that entire night and spent the next week making them come true.
Jennie finally, reluctantly forgave her for even joking around about a porn company with Jisoo. Lisa ended up reluctantly admitting that the month of torture was eventually worth it because the angry sex marathon they had the weekend Jennie finally decided to forgive her was mind blowing. Five million out of ten stars. Ten million. Final answer.
For their remainder of their trip that year, Lisa got the bright idea of just winging their destinations once Chaeyoung's tour had ended. Jisoo would correct everyone and say it was her idea, because it was, but she didn't because she didn't need Limario knowing just exactly what she was up to. She brought up Aden one day in front of Jennie and they spent the entire night talking about how much they both missed him.
So naturally, Lisa decided it would be a fantastic idea for them to retrace their steps and visit all of the countries Lisa had visited the first time, but in the safer parts. Omar even met them in Soccottra because Lisa was so not going to Yemen again with Jennie and the girls in tow. Hell no. They started in El Salvador and met all the kids Lisa talked about in person.
"Aqui es donde Lisa dijo que seria mi novia." Santos said to Jennie.
"He said this is where Lisa agreed to be his girlfriend." The translator said with a giggle.
"MANOBAN! You did WHAT Now?!" Jennie shouted to an unsuspecting Lisa who had been a few yards away whispering to Jisoo about where the truck stopped after she had been kidnapped.
Lisa paled.
"Uh oh." Lisa said under her breath. "What did I do now?" Lisa asked herself in confusion.
Jisoo couldn't help but cackle the entire time and Lisa scowled.
"What did you do?" Lisa shouted, bolting after Jisoo.
"MANOBAN COME BACK HERE!" Jennie shouted.
Chaeyoung ignored the chaos and turned to Santos.
"So, you were saying you could make homemade pupusas?" Chaeyoung asked excitedly, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
Santos grinned and held his arm out to lead Chaeyoung to his little hut so he could start cooking for them.
Lisa finally caught Jisoo and threw her over her shoulder, spinning her so she could make her dizzy, which only made Jisoo cackle harder at her for not realizing how bad of an idea this had been, just like Jisoo had planned. It was the best form of entertainment. This was the third time today Jennie had yelled at Lisa because Santos had pointed out two different places where Lisa had done dangerous things, like the one time she and Santos went skydiving with some second hand parachutes they bought at a mercado and Lisa's ripcord didn't work until the third try.
Jisoo may or may not have instigated it all by telling Santos he'd be her wing-woman with Lisa. Santos knew he'd never be able to break them up, not even with Jisoo's help. Now he understood why he had always felt like Lisa was off somehow back then. She smiled and laughed and was spontaneous, but it never reached her eyes. Now he got it, she had been heartbroken and now that she had Jennie back it was like Lisa was an entirely different person. He was disappointed, even though he knew he was too young for her anyway, but it was still fun to flirt with her and it was kind of hilarious to watch Jennie get mad at Lisa so he went along with it and 'innocently' exposed Lisa's recklessness every other minute.
"LISA MANOBAN-KIM COME BACK HERE AND EXPLAIN YOURSELF."
"Whatever it is I didn't mean it. I swear it wasn't really my idea to come live here. It's just cus we were broken up and it seemed like a good idea at the time."
"Excuuuuse me?" Chaeyoung said, stopping in her tracks. "You were going to do what now?"
"Shit." Lisa said, backing away from her wife and best friend slowly.
"You better run run run." Jisoo said with a gleeful laugh.
Lisa didn't need to be told twice.
