Chapter 103
The Alpha's Fight for His Omega
Chapter 103
***Chastity***
I woke up early the next morning, excited for my trip home. I couldnât wait to spend two weeks home
with my family. By the time Lexi, and Colby arrived at my room I was ready to go. After taking one last
look. around to make sure I had everything I wanted to take, I grabbed Lilac, my purse, book bag, and
left. Colby, and Lexi seemed pretty excited as well.
âHey guys, are you staying at Jaxâs place again?â I asked.
âYeah.â Colby answered.
âWhy donât you take over one of the other apartments in the house?â
âWe considered it, but after weâre both finished with school I donât know if we want to continue living in
the pack house. I donât want to take over the space then end up moving out. Plus weâre not there often
enough to really take one of those spaces.â Colby explained.
âOh. Yeah. I guess that makes sense. Do you think you would want to live in the pack house?â
âHonestly, Iâd rather continue living there, but itâs not only up to me.â
âTrue. What do you think Lexi?â
âI kind of want to have my own house, but at the same time, I like being surrounded by people. Iâm not
sure yet though. We have time to decide.â Lexi answered.
âTrue.â I agreed.
âWhy donât you all use that house for pack gatherings any way? You call it the pack house, but itâs
really not any more. We have people in, and out constantly at Dark Moon.â
âTrue, but Dark Moonâs pack house is a lot bigger, and more set up for large gatherings. Our pack
house is really too small any more to hold that many people. Thatâs why we have the Community
Center that was built about 30 years ago.â Colby responded.
âWhy is the pack house so small?â
âWhen our pack was first established there were only about 20 members. The original Alpha didnât
expect our pack would ever get so big so he built the place to accommodate that size pack.â
âHave any of the following Alphaâs consider expanding it?â
âIt has ben several times.â I answered.
âYes. Rowenâs wing was added not long before the Community Center was built. When the Community
Center was built Joeâs dad put a vote to the pack to decide if they wanted to continue to use the pack
house as the main gathering spot, or switch to the Community Center. He did inform them that the cost
to upgrade the house to make it useable for the entire pack would be incredibly high, and would take a
lot of time. Essentially, at least the entire first floor would have to be ripped out, and rebuilt. The pack
didnât want that. They were happy with the Community Center. At that point it was decided that the
pack house. would become the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma home as well as their office.â Coby explained.
âBut we havenât been using the Community Center much over the years.â I stated.
âThatâs only been like that over the last 5 or 6 years. No one really knows why though.â
âRowen said because of itâs condition.â
âYeah. It hasnât been well maintained. Jax told me about Rowen upgrading the whole thing.â
âYeah. It is starting to look really good.â
âI know. Jax took me to see it when we were home for Thanksgiving. Your suggestion for the Craft
Show is really going to benefit the pack in more ways than just that.â
âIâm glad. We have a great pack, but we seem so distant from each other.â
âI agree. As do Jax, and Rowen. Jax told me that while he, and Rowen were in school they were trying
to find ways to bring the pack back together as they should be.â
âGood. I hope they came up with some good ideas.â
âThey had one or two, but from what Jax told me it was you, and Molly that who have had the better
ideas, as well as having more ideas.â
âSmall fry, males tend to think on a larger scale, and more about protection, and such. Theyâre not
always great about figuring out how to get people to connect on a personal level. They love their pack,
but are not always good at figuring out the intimate needs. Thatâs what us females are for.â Lexi added.
âHey.â Colby protested.
âAm I wrong?â
âWell Iâm not really sure.â
âItâs the females that create more of the relationships with others than the males.â
âThatâs not true.â
âIf you think about it, it is.â
âHow?â
âTake us for example.â
âUm. Alright?â
âWhen we first met you hit on me before even having a conversation.â
âWe had talked a little on video chat with short stack before.â
âNo, we really didnât. You, and Chas talked for a bit then disconnected. We never really spoke beyond
hi, and goodbye. You knew my name, but Iâm not sure you even really knew what I looked like besides
my
face. Sort of.â
âYeah. Thatâs true.â
âWhen I first met Chastity she was talking to Norm. She defended me to him about my attitude at the
time, and even suggested I needed a friend. She wasnât wrong. She got me on a personal level,
without even knowing me.â
âI wanted to know you on a personal level.â
âYou wanted in my pants. Thatâs a different kind of knowing. Chastity wanted to know me for me.â
âThatâs because I already knew you were my mate. How could I not want in your pants?â
âCOLBY!â I gasped.
âCan you honestly tell me, short stack that you didnât want in Rowenâs pants when you first realized he
was your mate?â Colby asked.
âActually I can.â
âBull!â
âColby, think about what my life was at that point? What I wanted from Rowen was his protection, and
safety. I knew squat about sex at that point. Only little whispered things, and that something physically
happened between two people. I also knew it was messy, and smelled funny.â
âMessy, and smelled funny?â Lexi giggled.
âYou have never had to clean up after two people after theyâve had sex before. You have no idea just
how gross being on that end can be.â I responded, wrinkling my nose.
âColby!â Lexi growled.
âWhat? I NEVER had sex in the pack house. Yeah I messed around a bit, but the 4 of us guys would
leave. the house for sex. It was our agreement.â Colby explained.
âReally?â Lexi questioned.
âYeah. We didnât want a female we were messing around with to get too comfortable, and our
bedrooms, in our home was only meant for our mate. We NEVER wanted another female in there. We
never wanted our mate to wonder which females had been in that space.â
âOh. Thatâsâ¦..in a weird way thatâs kind of sweet.â
âThanks. Anyway. Who are you talking about Chastity since it wasnât any of us males?â
âFiona. She had a rotation of males in, and out of her room since she was 15. As soon as they were
done, no matter the time, day or not, I was called to clean up the room. I had to change the sheets,
clean up any stains, clean up condoms, if they used them. All of it. It was gross!â I responded.
âThatâs terrible, and disgusting.â Lexi gagged.
âYeah. Very much so.â
âWhy did John allow that?â Colby questioned.
âI donât know, and I never asked. It wasnât my business. I was just told to clean it up, and keep my
mouth shut.â I answered.
âSo gross. Anyway, back to my original point. Do you see what Iâm saying about males being less about
the personal level in connecting?â Lexi asked.
âYeah. I do. It does makes sense.â Colby responded.
âMales care more about what a person can do than who they are.â
âTrue. Well unless itâs someone important to us. Our mate, and families we want to know all about
them.â
âOf course you do because you want to true, strong relationship with them. Everyone else is just an
outsider in a way.â
âThatâs also kind of true. Chas, youâre doing a good job looking out for, and helping our pack. Weâre a
strong pack, but I think with you, and Molly our pack will become what it once was, and ultimately
stronger.â
âI hope so. I know itâs because our pack is so big, but thatâs no reason not to try to bring the pack closer
together.â I said.
âI agree. Packs should be more like a big family instead of all just living together for the sake of
community.â Lexi stated.
âItâs hard with a pack our size though.â Colby said.
âTrue, but if Dark Moon can do it, then so can Moonlight.â Lexi said with a shrug.
âWhat are some things Dark Moon does to keep the pack close?â
âUnderstand that it can be a little harder for us as we have several higher education schools on
property with people from other packs coming, and going all of the time. I donât know how Uncle
Jeremy, and Robert manage sometimes. Anyway, some of the things we do are things like street fairs.
We do those 4 times a year. The warriors are rotated so that if they worked during one, theyâre off on
another. They also do movie nights, and a Halloween parade for anyone who dresses up. There are
dinners, plays, concerts and parties of different types during the year. There is also Tradesmen week.â
Lexi explained.
âWhat is Tradesmen week?â I questioned.
âFor a week all of our Tradesmen open up their businesses to the public for demonstrations or classes
so people from the pack can observe, and learn.â Lexi answered.
âHuh? Thatâs not a half bad idea.â I said.
âThe warriors also get a week where they can give lessons, and do demonstrations.â
âNow, I like that idea.â Colby stated.
âOf course you do. It does have itâs own ulterior motive though.â Lexi said.
âWhatâs that?â I asked.
âIt gives the pups a chance to see what their options are as they become adults, and hopefully choose
a career path. Especially teens who are floundering, and donât know what they want to do. If theyâre in
a family of warriors or Tradesmen, but arenât interested in that path, they can see what their other
options are up close, and personal.â Lexi explained.
âThat makes sense.â I said.
âYes it does. I bet our pack would love something like that.â Colby stated.
âIâm sure they would. Besides, with Rowen starting that warrior program, it will help get more people
interested in it.â I agreed.
âHow is that going any way?â Colby asked.
âHe said itâs going well so far. Those interested in becoming instructors have been sent to Alpha Theoâs
pack to begin their training. The facility build is as coming along nicely. Heâs hoping to have everything
up, and running by the summer. Right now heâs putting feelers out to other packs on interest in the
program. The Rogue leader has already contacted him back, and they are in talks about sending some
from his sub packs for training when the program opens. Apparently thatâs the one thing heâs short on.
The majority of his sub packs have no trained warriors. He wants his people to feel safe, but doesnât
feel they do. Robert has already sent Rowen applications for their most promising students for
consideration. The difference being that we would trade students.â I explained.
âTrade students?â Colby questioned.
âYes. Since Dark Moon has a lot of higher education schools, we would send people there to attend
their programs while their warriors come here for our program instead of paying for them to attend the
school. Rowen said itâs a win, win.â
âWhat does Rowen plan to trade with the Rogue Leader?â Lexi asked.
âRowen said he, and Joe have applications from some of our pack members looking to explore the
world, meet new people, and stuff like that. Theyâre reviewing the applications with the Rogue Leader
to see what his sub packs need then they are going to see if the people with applications out would be
interested in going there, at least temporarily to help or possibly build a life.â
âWhy would people want to leave Moonlight?â Colby questioned.
âRowen said that what they do we might not have an additional need for, and those members may
flourish some where else. Others are mate hunting. There are also cases where there Isnât much room
to advance in their field simply because all of the spots are full. He wants our pack members to reach
their full potential, and if they canât or it may take them a long time to do it, he wants to give them
whatever. opportunity he can to achieve that.â
âI never thought of that.â
âBelieve me, neither did I. I wasnât too happy with him when he told me about letting our pack members
go, but once he explained it, it made a lot of sense to me. We shouldnât hold our pack members back
just because we donât want them to leave,â
âYou know itâs not common for pack members to even want to leave their pack unless itâs for their
mate.â
Lexi said.
âIt wasnât no, but Rowen said one of the things he learned in school, and while on his tour is that we
should consider our packâs happiness, and well being over what we want. The world is changing, but
we werewolves havenât. In the human world itâs very common for people to move to other places for a
multitude of reasons, be it for school, jobs, family, friends, a mate or husband or wife in human terms,
or just because they want to go some where different. Weâre so possessive of our members that we
donât allow that, but we may be holding people back simply because weâre possessive. Is that really fair
to them? Rowen doesnât think so. He feels we should be more like humans in that regard in allowing
our members to expand their horizons, with the understanding that the pack member must be accepted
by the Alpha of the pack they go to, otherwise they cannot go. Their connection with our pack doesnât
break until theyâre accepted, permanently They are also not allowed to just wander. We have to stay
within the boundary of our laws. They still have to protect our race.â I said.
âHow will they get the Alphaâs approval?â Colby asked.
âRowen will send the Alpha the personâs file, and set up at least a video meeting, or an in person
meeting, if itâs possible. They have to do that even if itâs temporary.â I answered.
âYou didnât have to do that to attend Cloverland, and I didnât for Denu.â Colby stated.
âBecause weâre not there to be a temporary member of the pack. Nor are we there to try to become
members. Weâre simply there for our education at one of their schools. Our interaction with their pack is
minimal at best. If you werenât mated to Lexi, and I wasnât friends with her, we would have no
interactions with their leaders. Yeah maybe we would go into town sometimes, but mostly we would be
at school. These people are looking to enter the pack for various reasons be it training, helping, work,
or finding their mate.â
âThatâs true.
âYup.â
âSounds like Rowen is really going to be a great Alpha.â Lexi said with a smile.
âHe really is.â I responded proudly.
âCan I ask a question thatâs not about this subject?â Lexi asked.
âSure.â I responded.
âWhen are you going to start staying in Rowenâs apartment instead of Jaxâs.â
âI can answer that one.â Colby stated.
âOk. So answer it.â Lexi grunted.
âWhen Chastity is ready for that step. He doesnât want to push her. He also doesnât want her to feel
obligated to move in with him if sheâs not ready.â
âHeâs right. Rowen, and I talked about it a couple of times. Heâs waiting for me to want to live with him
before I do.â I added.
âBut you never stay in his place.â Lexi stated.
âI know.â I said glumly.
âDo you want to stay there?â
âI⦠not yet. You have to remember Iâve spent so many years alone that I want to be surrounded by
people for awhile longer. Rowen understands, and respects that.â
âBut youâre alone in your room at school.â
âIf you think about it, the majority of the time Iâm alone in my room is when Iâm sleeping. At least your or
Norm is with me most of the time. When I am alone, I hate it. When Iâm by myself I either video chat,
have music going, or a movie playing so I donât feel so alone.â
âOh. Iâ¦.I didnât realize that.â
âYeah.â
âI have to be honest with you about something, short stack.â Colby said.
âWhatâs that?â I asked.
âWhen Lexi, and I first went to ask about a mate apartment, I asked them about a two bedroom so you
could move in with us.â
âYou did?â
âYeah. Unfortunately the only way to get a larger apartment was if we had a pup.â
âHe did. I was there. After that bad night you had, I went to talk to Dee-Dee to see if she could help us
get a bigger apartment due to extenuating circumstances. She tried, but she couldnât.â Lexi added.
âOh. Thank you. I wouldnât want to do that to you guys though.â I said quietly.
âWhat do you mean?â Lexi asked.
âYou two are mates, and need your one on one time. You should have your own living space to connect
just you two.â
âYou live with Molly, and Jax when youâre home.â
âYou canât use that as an example.â Colby stated.
âWhy not?â Lexi questioned.
âWell first, she was brought to their apartment right out of the hospital. Chas needed someone there to
take care of her as she couldnât really do anything on her own due to her injuries. The second being
that Jax, and Molly had already agreed to have her move in with them when they got home. He knew
she was in a small, throw away place while he was gone. He hated it, and wanted her close.â Colby
explained.
âI didnât know that.â I said.
âThey didnât tell anyone. He was just going to do it, and to hell with what anyone said about it.â
âOh.â
âYeah.â
âThe other thing with Molly, and Jax is that Iâm not there often because of being away at school. The
majority of their time is spent just them. With you two I would be there all of the time.â
âThatâs true.â Lexi agreed.
âOh. Lexi, I forgot to tell you. I talked to midwife Wanda this morning. We can spend at least two days a
week with her while weâre home. If we want to do more we can just show up.â I told her, excitedly.
âAwesome! I have a question for you, that I hope doesnât upset you.â Lexi said.
âWhatâs that?â
âI know you want to replace her when she retires, butâ¦ummmâ¦.with you being Luna, do you think
youâll be able to be head midwife? Will you have the time?â
âOh. Yeah. I thought a little about that last night.â
You did? You never seem to want toâ¦sorry. I shouldnât bring this up.â
âNo. Itâs ok. It is something I have to at least think about. Iâm not sure if Iâll have the time to run the
department, plus be a good Luna. Clair, and Beth seem pretty busy with their duties.â
âBeth doesnât have a Beta, and Gamma female yet though so her situation is different.â
âI know. Clair retired from being Luna, but she helps Beth. Also didnât your mom, and Blakeâs mom
decide not to retire until the guys found their mates?â
âYeah they did. I think the King has arranged a mating ball for a few months from now. He wants Dark
Moon to host it as weâre the biggest pack after Royal Pack. Darren, and Blake plan to go, if it happens.â
âI hope they find their mates.â
âI do too. Darren is beyond ready. Sure he had his fun with females over the years, but he said heâs
tired of it. He wants to settle down. He hasnât even spent time with a female outside of his group of
friends in
months.â
âI didnât know that.â
âYeah. The only females he spends time with are the ones mated to his friends.â
That has to be tough sometimes.â
âIâm sure it is. Back to my point, what do you think youâre going to do?â
âWell I think I may let you take the midwife Wandaâs position, and Iâll be your secondary.â
âReally? Me? Why me? Itâs always been your dream to step into her role when she retires.â
âTrue it has been, but the rest of my dream has been to have a life with my mate. My mate happens to
be the Alpha which comes with responsibilities I hadnât expected. I would choose you because I trust
you, and I know you can do the job. I think we should find a third person though. Just the two of us
wonât be enough.â
âToo bad Norm isnât interested.â
âI know. That would have been perfect.â
âYes it would have been, but at the same time I donât see him ever wanting to live away from his family.
like that. Sugar pop is all about his folks, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.â
âThat he is.â
âSo do we start looking when are next round of classes starts?â
âI think we should.â
âAlright then. Weâll do it. By the way, thank you for your faith in me, and Iâm sorry you have to give us
your dream.â
âBut Iâm not. Iâm still going to be a midwife. That was always the real dream. I wanted midwife Wandaâs
spot because she is our only midwife.â
âThatâs true.â
âDid dad tell you that Naomi came to him the other night, and apologized to him for what happened
with. you?â Colby asked suddenly.
âNo. I havenât talked to dad in a few days.â I admitted.
âShe apologized to him, and also gave him pictures she had of your mom that she found. Dad said
sheâs been going through boxes she had in her closet, and found them. She told him she wished she
could apologize to Brinna as well, but it wasnât possible.â
âOh wow.â
âYup.â
âHas she apologized to you, Chas?â Lexi asked.
âYes. When I was home for Thanksgiving. The day I showed her my laundry system. She also told me
about how she ended up being apart of all of that.â I answered.
âHow did that happen?â
âThatâs her story to tell. All I will say is that Aurora found her weak point, and manipulated it to get
Naomi to do what she wanted.â
âThat sucks.â
âIt does.â
âCan we not talk about that female any more? She was poison.â Colby growled.
âThat she was.â Lexi agreed.
âSubject dropped. Oh, Colby, Braxton told me that youâre helping him teach his first pup class this
week.â I stated.
âI am. I didnât expect him to start it so soon, but with dadâs help heâs ready sooner than we thought he
would be.â Colby said.
âHow can he train pups when heâs still in training himself.â Lexi asked.
âPup training is fairly basic. Itâs mostly moves, and such. The harder training doesnât start until your
teens, and only if you want it.â Colby answered.
âAh. Where is he doing the training?â Lexi questioned.
âThere is on old gym that is two blocks away from the town center. Itâs sat empty for a few years. Dad
rented it for Braxton, and fixed it up. There is space for pup classes. Gina is trying to talk him into
adding dance, and gymnastics classes for pups that want to do that instead. Braxton isnât a fan of the
ideal though.â
âWhy not? Those kinds of things are good for pups as well.â I protested.
âI think it more has to do with his lack of knowledge or understanding of those activities. It also doesnât
help that he couldnât even begin to teach those kinds of classes.â Colby responded.
âI can see that.â
âDoes your pack have those kinds of classes for pups?â Lexi questioned.
âI donât know honestly.â I answered,
âKind of. There are a couple of moms who teach those on a small scale, in their homes. Besides that,
no.â Colby responded.
âIs there interest?â Lexi asked.
âI have no idea.â Colby answered.
âNeither do I.â I said.
We continued to chat as we drove home. There were a few things I needed to think more about, that
were brought up during our conversation. One of them being staying in Rowenâs apartment. I had only
ever spent one night there. Other than that I rarely stepped foot in his home. That made me feel a little
guilty. He always came to where ever I was. I really didnât do the same for him. When he came to
Cloverland he stayed in my room. When we were home we would go out on dates then go back to
Jaxâs. He never even asked me about staying in his apartment. I knew why he didnât as we had
discussed it, but the more I thought about it, the less fair to him it seemed.
He put so much into us, but did I really put in that much effort? Yes I planned things for us to do when
he was at Cloverland. I also would ask him to come visit, sometimes. I did text, make calls, and even
make some of the video calls. I would ask him about things going on in his life, and was genuinely
interested in his work. We rarely talked about our future though. Part of that may because of my stance
on not talking about the future Luna thing. I could be wrong though. Was I really not putting the same
amount of effort in as Rowen was? I wasnât sure. 1
âHey. Can I ask you questionâ I finally spoke up, ending Lexi, and Colbyâs conversation.
âSure small fry.â Lexi responded.
âWhatâs up short stack?â Colby said.
âUm, am I not putting enough effort into my relationship with Rowen?â I asked nervously.
âIâm not sure I know what you mean.â Lexi stated.
âYou might want to explain a little. I donât understand either.â Colby added.
âUm. Most of mine, and Rowenâs visits are him coming to Cloverland. Yeah I plan stuff for us to do
when heâs there, but most of those visits are him planning to come, not me asking him to. Yeah I text,
call, and video chat with him, but I feel like he does more of the reaching out. Iâve only ever stayed in
his apartment once, and only walked in the place a handful of times for a few minutes. I never even ask
to go there. When Iâm home, he plans everything, but I never make suggestions or ask to do
something. I just kind of follow his lead.â I explained quietly, looking at my hands.
âAh. Your situations are different Chas. Until recently you were even unsure if he would stick around.
You also had little knowledge on building a relationship with another person. You didnât know what you
enjoyed doing. You didnât know you could ask someone to do something. You also werenât used to
communicating with anyone outside of what was expected of you. Rowen is teaching you these things
through actions instead of words.â Colby explained.
âButâ¦.but is that fair to him?â I whispered.
âItâs not always about fair small fry. Sometimes itâs about need. Rowen knew, and still knows what you
need so heâs giving it to you.â Lexi responded.
âBut what about what he needs?â I asked.
âShort stack, you are fulfilling his needs by doing things with him, being by his side, talking with him,
and becoming comfortable with him. He knows when youâre ready, and comfortable youâll step up.â Lexi
stated.
âAlso remember he is an Alpha. Alphas are wired to be in control, and being the one calling the shots.â
Colby added.
âAlso their goal is to make their mate as happy, and comfortable as possible. They bend over
backwards. for her in every possible way.â Lexi said.
âButâ¦.â I sputtered.
âHas he ever said anything to you about any of this?â Lexi asked.
âWell no.â I answered.
âThen donât worry about it. As we said, youâre fulfilling his needs.â Lexi stated.
âWell not all of them.â I muttered.
âWhat needsâ¦..nope. Never mind. Not talking about this.â Colby said making Lexi giggle.
âChas, do you remember what we talked about when we were home a few weeks ago when we
discussed this subject?â Lexi asked.
âYes.â I answered, blushing..
âAnd what did I say?â
âThat a maleâs greatest pleasure is getting his female off.â
âAnd thatâs enough of that.â Colby grumbled.
âOh hush.â Lexi slapped Colby on the arm.
âPlease donât talk to my baby sister about sex.â Colby begged.
âShe needs to talk to someone about it.â Lexi protested.
âNo she doesnât. Sheâs sweet, innocent, and pure. Sheâll stay that way for the rest of her life.â Colby
stated. firmly.
âSo itâs ok for me to do all of the dirty, nasty things you enjoy so much, but if Chastity wants to do the
same with her mate, itâs not?â Lexi asked, causing my eyes to widen.
âGuys! Please! I donât want to hear about this!â I squeaked.
âOf course itâs not. Sheâs too innocent for that. Sheâll never do any of those things!â Colby protested.
âKeep telling yourself that, but are you still going to believe that when sheâs pregnant, or has a few
pups. running around?â Lexi asked, trying not to laugh while I was sitting quietly blushing, and staring
at my hands.
âYes! Immaculate conception! That is the only way my sister will ever have pups.â Colby growled.
âHey! Thatâs not very fair!â I complained.
âWhy isnât it?â Colby asked, looking confused.
âI have to sit around, and listen to all of you talk about the things you do with your mates all of the time.
Why am I not allowed to learn what you all are talking about for myself?â I asked, unsure of why I was
having this conversation.
âWe donât talk about this stuff every often.â Colby protested.
âColby, I was sitting right there when you talked about handcuffing Lexi to the bed two weeks ago, and
making her cum so hard she almost passed out. Not something I wanted to hear about by the way, but
thatâs the besides the point. I heard it any way. I hear about the things Marcus does to Norm too.â I
stated, blushing, and trying not to gag.
âShit. Sorry. You donât need to do those things though. Youâre too innocent for that.â Colby whined.
âWhy?â I asked.
âBecause you are.â
âYou better have a better reason than that otherwise your favorite handcuffs will be disappearing.â Lexi
stated, crossing her arms over her chest.
âYou like them too.â Colby joked.
âCOLBY!â I yelled.
âSorry. Iâ¦.Iâ¦.Itâs just that I look at you, and still see that tiny pigtailed girl chasing Jax around the yard,
climbing up on his back, and laughing. Yeah, I was a shit to you, but I look at you, and see the tiny pup
who would come up to me with a book in her hand, and ask me to look at pictures with her, or play
Donât Break the Ice. Man you loved that game. You would giggle right along with us when we played.
Even though you didnât get to play with the family.â Colby answered quietly.
âIâm not a little girl any more though. You, and Jax seem to forget that. Iâm an adult now, and I have a -
mate.â I said quietly.
âYeah. I know.â Colby sulked.
âColby, do you think that maybe part of the problem is not only you being the over protective brother,
but also that you wish you could do things differently with Chastity?â Lexi questioned.
âIâ¦.I donât know. I never thought about it. What makes you think that any way?â Colby answered.
âDarren.â Lexi said simply..
âDarren? What about Darren?â
âMy brother is protective of me too. When I started dating Anthony he gave the whole donât hurt my
sister speech, and did all he could to keep me from getting hurt. When Anthony came back with a mate
no one knew about, especially me, Darren punched him, and knocked him out. When we mated, he
had the same. conversation with you, but he was never once resistant to the idea of you, and I having
sex. He was honestly a little shocked that we didnât that first weekend. He told me he didnât like the idea
of me having sex, but since my first time, and every time after was with my mate he accepted it. Hell
we talk about sex with each other. It was more about losing his little sister to another male than
anything.â Lexi explained.
âItâs a little weird that you talk about our sex life with your brother.â Colby grunted.
âHe was my best friend until Chastity. There is nothing we donât talk about. Also, not the point here, at
all.â Lexi stated.
âI know. Iâ¦.I really donât know why the idea of you having a physical relationship with Rowen bothers
me so much Chas. Hell even dad is more accepting of that than Jax, and I are.â Colby said.
âYou talk about my sex life, or lack of it with dad?â I squeaked.
âNo. Molly told dad about that conversation with Rowen we had a few weeks ago. Dad wasnât happy,
and laid us both out. Told us we were being assholes, and that sex between you, and Rowen was your
business. To stay the heli out of it.â Colby said.
âOh.â
âLook, Iâm sorry. Itâs just weird for me. OK? I donât even like thinking about it.â
âDo you think I like talking about it? Colby, you need to remember something.â
âWhatâs that?â
âI knew about sex in broad terms until recently. As in I knew it happened, but not exactly what sex was,
how it happened, why it happened, that touch like that felt a certain way, nothing. I only really knew it
was messy, and that females got pregnant from having sex. Yes I have learned a lot more from
listening to all of you, as well as talking with Molly, Lexi, and Melissa. Iâm embarrassed to talk about
sex, much less think about it. What I do know is that I need, and want to learn. I also know that I need
to experience these things on my own. I NEED you, and Jax to leave me alone about it. I donât think
you two realize that every time you get all upset about even the mention of sex, and me, you make me
feel guilty for being curious. You also make me feel like Iâm doing something wrong by even thinking
about it.â
âWe do?â
âYes, you do.â
âIâm going to sound like an asshole here, but there is a part of me. The protective big brother part, that
doesnât want you to grow up, that is happy about that.â Colby admitted, and Lexi smacked him in the
back of the head, âYou didnât let me finish female. Chastity, the rest of me feels guilty for making you
feel that way. Iâm sorry. Iâll try not to do that any more.â
âThank you.â I said.
âIâll talk to Jax about this too. He needs to know Not sure how heâll react to it because heâs more
protective than I am, but Iâll try.â
âThank you.â
âYou really are an idiot.â Lexi grunted.
âWeâve established that, but I also didnât know.â Colby growled.
âWhatever. Youâll be punished later.â
âBut baby I like your punishments.â
âNot this one. Better call your dad, and have him put fresh sheets on the bed in your room at his place.â
âOh come on Lex. I apologized, and I really didnât know I was making her feel like that. How can you
punish me for something I didnât know?â
âHumph.â
âLexi, you really canât punish him for something he didnât know. Something I didnât tell him. Itâs not fair
to him.â I said.
âWeâll see. If youâre on your best behavior the rest of the day Iâll consider changing my mind.â Lexi
grumbled.
âI will be. I promise.â Colby stated.
âSo if Rowen starts making out with Chastity, and grabs her ass in front of you, youâre not going to say
anything?â Lexi question, making my eyes widen, as I hoped Rowen wouldnât do that.
âI canât promise I wonât say anything, but Iâll try to only ask that he not do that right in front of me.â Colby
said.
âWeâll see.â Lexi sniffed.
âRoâ¦..Rowen wouldnât do something like that, Lexi.â I squeaked.
Lexi just shrugged, and the subject was changed. I had to admit that now that Lexi put that thought in
my head, the idea had some appeal. I blushed badly at the idea though. That would be embarrassing
for him to do that in front of, well anyone. Thankfully I was drug from my thoughts by Colby, and Lexi.
The rest of the drive was spent in casual conversation that didnât make me blush or uncomfortable in
any way.
