Chapter 269 100TH EPISODE [BLIND JUSTICE] (III)
The Number One Star in the Interstellar Era
For seven years, he taught himself everything that he needed to know. It wasnât really that hard. As long as he could connect to the [Starnet], everything could easily be in his grasp. The [Starnet] was simply his playground. Thatâs simply how good of a hacker he was.
Hacking was something of an interest to him at first. But after his parentsâ death, he submerged himself into it. He didnât want to be just someone who had some knowledge about hacking or someone who could hack simple problems. He wanted to be the hacker.
He was extremely dedicated to advancing his hacking ability. With his current ability, he could say with confidence that he could hack into this planetâs national bank and transfer millions of star coins to his account without them even noticing.
But that still wasnât enough. If he wanted the complete downfall of his uncle, he had to be better than he was now. He still had a year before he reached adulthood. When that time came, he could finally enact his plan.
Remiâs thoughts were cut off when he heard knocking on the door. Only one person would do this, especially when heâs in this room. The corner of his lips curved up unknowingly.
âCome in!â
He turned the swivel chair he was sitting towards the door. The door slid to the side and a teenager walked in carrying a tray with a bowl of porridge and a glass of milk. His black hair was a bit messy and his pair of black eyes looked at Remi with a bit of disapproval. And in the depths of them, there was an underlying worry.
In this dark room, the teenager seemed to have a halo. As if his presence itself was shining brightly.
Who would have thought that that thin, malnourished kid would grow into such a beauty? Remi was just glad that he managed to save the other before he was sold by that asshole of a father. Just thinking of the things that could have happened to that young boy if he hadnât gone to their house at that time could easily make him angered and depressed.
âYoung master, itâs already morning. You havenât slept and even forgot to eat dinner,â Noa scolded. He walked forward and put the tray on the small desk inside the room. âWhatever youâre doing with all these⦠computers, it wonât run. So, come and eat first. Then, after, sleep.â
Remi stood up and smiled helplessly. He walked towards the small table and sat down. âYes, sir,â he said teasingly.
âYouâre not taking this seriously again, young master. You donât eat much, you only sleep a couple of hours a day. Look at how thin you are. If you continue on like this, you will really get sick.â
Noa tried to show a scary image, probably thinking that he would be more believable if he did. But in Remiâs eyes, the other only looked adorable.
âDonât worry, I wonât get sick,â he assured Noa. âI will always be here for you.â
A red blush suddenly tinged Noaâs cheeks. âYoung master should just eat.â He then turned around and was about to leave the room but then quickly stopped as if he remembered something. He glanced back at Remi, then added, âAlso, get some sleep. Iâll wake you up once itâs lunch time.â
Then he quickly walked out of the room as if being chased. Remi watched the otherâs back and could only smile helplessly.
**********
The people currently watching the 100th episode of [Blind Justice] all had their attention at the virtual screen in front of them. Especially after the teenage version of âNoaâ appeared.
The people who knew about the issue that happened last weekend couldnât believe their eyes. The one in the trailer was really Astrid Townsend! Most of them was very skeptical when someone mentioned that it was him, they even scoffed and said âimpossible!â. Some even had a very violent reaction to it. But look, reality seemed to suddenly slap them in the face.
While those who didnât know about the issue and was just enjoying watching the episode, couldnât help but be intrigued by the character of this Noa. Of course, that included the actor who was playing the role.
The first moment that the teenage âNoaâ appeared in the scene, they couldnât stop focusing on him. Itâs not just because of his beauty. That was already a given. But itâs the fact that it was not the first thing that they noticed about him. Itâs the worry he showed for the young master who saved him. At that moment, no one thought that he was just acting a role. They truly thought he was just âNoaâ.
For a newcomer to do that by only using subtle expressions and gestures, it was quite impressive. Just by that, one could see how talented he was.
The scene on the episode continued to move. For 15 minutes they were blessed by a montage of scenes showing how Remi and Noa interacted with each other.
They saw a side of Remi that they had never seen before â playful, childish, bursting with life, and just⦠happy. The Remi they knew was always cynical and indifferent. His eyes were like a deep abyss that looked at the world, not with joy, but with apathy. As if it wouldnât matter to him even if the world ended the next second.
They understood then that the thing that changed him might be shown in this episode. And it might as well be connected to Noa.
The audience were suddenly filled with trepidation. They wished that the peaceful life of the two teenagers would just continue. But of course, the director wouldnât allow them to soak in this warm feeling.
Soon, a problem appeared. It was Remiâs uncle.
