Chapter 621: JUICY DETAILS
The Number One Star in the Interstellar Era
âWell, if we want to reach the capital and implement the plan by Saturday, we have to leave Alluna this early,â Wulfric answered.
Astrid nodded, realizing he had completely overlooked the logistics. Despite the advancements in space travel, with space warps significantly reducing travel time, journeying from one planet to another still required considerable time, especially when crossing different galaxies.
On that note, he suddenly realized it would take days to travel from the capital to Delryria. He recalled the long journey he and Reas had experienced when they first left for the capital. With their departure set for Saturday, it was impossible to arrive by the next morning. Considering the time needed for the return trip, he and Reas would have to file for at least a week of leave from school.
âHow long do you think it will take us to travel to Delryria and back?â he asked. âWill it be more than a week?â
âWeâll be using a smaller vessel, which can move much faster. Additionally, weâll be traveling through space warps reserved exclusively for my army. No one will dare stop us for checkpoints, so we can reach our destination at the fastest speed possible,â Wulfric explained. âSo going back and forth will take five days at least.â
Five days? Then he and Reas would have to miss three days of school. Astrid would be fine since Redwood was quite lax about attendance. However, he wasnât so sure about the Imperial Military Academy. There was a chance Reas might not be allowed to skip classes. His brother must have known that, but Reas hadnât mentioned any concerns about being unable to go.
He must have a plan to ensure he could join them. Astrid just hoped it wouldnât affect his brotherâs academic record.
Wulfric seemed to have read what he was thinking because he added;
âI can pull some strings to get Reas a three-day leave of absence.â seaÊá´h thÑ Nôvel(F)ire.nÑt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
âYou can do that?â Astrid asked, surprised.
âSure.â
Before Astrid could let out a sigh of relief, he suddenly realized potential problems. âAre you sure thatâs okay? Wonât the teachers at the military academy think badly of Reas if you pull strings for him like that?â
When Wulfric didnât answer immediately, Astrid knew that his worry was not unfounded.
âIâll just tell Reas to file for a three-day leave of absence,â he said. âWith his good grades, Iâm sure it will be approved.â
Wulfric scratched his cheek, a hint of embarrassment in his eyes. âSorry, I couldnât be of more help.â
âItâs fine. Itâs not your job to handle things like this,â Astrid said, waving his hand dismissively. âBy the way, I already talked to my parents. They agreed with the plan.â
ââ¦Oh. Thatâs great,â Wulfric said after a delayed reaction. âHave you⦠told them about, you know?â
Wulfric paused, his eyes widening slightly as he absorbed the information. He scratched the back of his head, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. âOh, I see. Well, thatâs⦠good.â
Astrid raised a brow. âIs it really?â
âOf course! I mean, they will know soon enough. What difference does it make if they know about it sooner?â Wulfric said, trying to sound brave, though his nervousness was evident.
Astrid chuckled, finding Wulfricâs current expression both amusing and adorable. âGood. Then you should brace yourself, because I think my dad will want nothing more than to beat you up. And my mom might want a piece of you, too. So, good luck.â

Wulfric turned off his terminal after his call with Aster ended. He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to stave off the impending headache. That last part of his conversation with Aster got to him a bit.
He knew from the start that Asterâs parents wouldnât have a positive reaction to, well, him. His reputation and their initial meeting had obliterated any chance of a favorable impression. Now he was beginning to regret his reckless and carefree past. If he hadnât lived so impulsively, perhaps Asterâs parents wouldnât hold such a negative opinion of him.
Now, once they arrived at Delryria, he had to worry when Asterâs father would suddenly attack him. Maybe his mother would even put poison in his tea or something.
A long sigh escaped his lips.
âWhat, trouble in paradise?â
Wulfric turned to Hildred, who just spoke. âThere will be no trouble if I can help it.â
âSo, is our prince admitting that you and Astrid Townsend finally reached paradise?â
âHey, donât talk about Aster in that tone,â Wulfric said, his voice carrying a hint of warning.
Hildred raised both hands in mock surrender, a teasing smile spreading across his face. âBut you did confess to him, right?â
âWhat, did you listen to my private conversation?â Wulfric asked, irritated.
âWulf, itâs not my fault you didnât click the private setting of your Terminal before answering the call. Besides, Iâm not the only one who heard it,â Hildred said, then turned to where Edmund and Slade were sitting. âYou heard it too, right?â Explore more adventures at m,v lâ-NovelFire
âIâIâve suddenly gone deaf and didnât hear anything! Certainly nothing about any confession!â Edmund declared in his typical, Edmund-like fashion.
Slade rolled his eyes at that. âI heard it. And even if Iâm in a state of shock right now, I wonât say anything. Thatâs Captainâs business, after all. Although I wouldnât mind hearing all the juicy details.â
âYes, Wulf, tell us some juicy details,â Hildred added. âI think we deserve to hear some of it after being pulled into your sweetheartâs problem. Donât worry, weâll be satisfied with how you confess with Astrid. Right?â
Slade laughed. âYeah, Iâd be down with that.â
âI- I donât have any opinion!â Edmund said when Wulfric glanced at him.
Wulfric looked at the three and sighed, feeling his headache intensify. He knew things would be chaotic with them around. If Leland werenât needed in Alluna, he would have preferred to take him along instead of these three.
âI confessed. If you want more details, you have to defeat me in a fight.â
