Chapter 70 - APPROVAL AT LAST!
The Number One Star in the Interstellar Era
âNOW that you know what happened to me and your Dad in the past, do you still insist on going to the capital to study?â Emmy asked.
Astrid and Reas both looked at each other. They saw the same determination in each otherâs eyes. Without speaking, they already knew what they would say. They both looked at their mother and said at the same time;
âYes.â
âYou do understand if even one person finds out the identity of your parents, it would not be good for the both of you. It might even be very dangerous. If it reached the ears of Simon Lancaster, he could easily piece two and two together and realized that your Dad and I worked together to kill his brother. And you, as our children, will bear the brunt of his revenge. No, his whole familyâs revenge.
âYou should know that Simon Lancaster is still a General with enough power in his hands to eliminate a pair of teenagers. If that were to happen, can the both of you assure us that nothing would happen? That no harm would befall to the both of you?â Emmy asked with a grim expression on her face.
âMom, we canât promise that nothing dangerous would happen to us. After all, we canât predict the future,â Astrid said. âBut we can promise that we will protect ourselves and each other as well. We also wonât put ourselves in situations that might reveal our identity.â He turned to his brother. âRight, Reas?â
Reas nodded. âWe can at least do that much.â
âBesides, Mom, I donât think people would immediately assume that weâre your children just by our appearance. Reas does have the same hair color as Momâs but his face doesnât really look like yours or Dadâs.â His brotherâs face was more of a mixed of both. But because of that, it was hard to see who he resembled. âAnd then thereâs me. No one would definitely think that Iâm related to Mom and Dad. So, the possibility of people connecting us to Mom and Dad based on our appearance alone is pretty low.â
âAlso, the only way people could straightforwardly connect us to Mom and Dad is by gene testing. But because almost everyone in the Empire had a Terminal that directly acted as an ID, gene testing is hardly the go-to to determine oneâs identity,â Reas added. âUnless someone directly orders it. But that would only happen if they suspect us as your children. And just like what Aster said, the possibility of that is very low.â
Gage shook his head. Should he be disheartened that his children were blatantly saying that no one would think of them as his and Emmyâs sons?
Emmy stared at her twins and let out a helpless laugh. It seemed that the two were really very determined to go to the capital. Seeing them being calm after hearing everything, it showed just how strong their hearts were. They werenât even squeamish about the fact that their parents killed someone.
And after listening to them calmly analyzing everything, she knew that they could probably handle every obstacle that would be thrown at them. Frankly speaking, if the two showed even the slightest bit of hesitation, she planned to continue objecting to them going to the capital. But they didnât. They showed her their firm determination instead.
Her babies had really grown up so much.
In this battle, it seemed that she could only admit her defeat.
âFine. Go study at the capital,â she said.
Astrid was a bit shocked hearing that. He even thought that it was just auditory hallucination. So, he had to ask, âReally? Is Mom really giving us permission?â
âYes. So, donât ask again before I change my mind.â
Astrid happily stood up and hugged his mother. âThank you, Mom!â
Even Reas smiled from ear to ear. âThank you, Mom.â
âHey, you two, arenât you going to ask for my opinion?â Gage interjected. âWhat if I donât agree?â
Astrid glanced at his father. âDad, both Reas and I know that as long as Mom agreed, you would also follow along.â
Reas followed that up by saying, âItâs because Dad is a big wife-slave.â
Well, Gage couldnât deny that. So, he just cleared his throat and changed the topic. âSo, which school did that two of you apply?â
âI applied to the Mecha Department of the Imperial Military Academy,â Reas said.
Both Gage and Emmy already had a feeling that that would be the case. After all, Reas interest in mechas was not really a secret.
âBeing a soldier is not something everyone could do. Itâs a heavy responsibility. Are you prepared for that?â Gage asked seriously.
âI know, Dad. Trust me, Iâm taking this seriously. I didnât make this decision on a whim,â Reas said, equally serious.
âMore than that, you should be more careful. Being a student there, meeting people from the military is inevitable. You will surely come across someone related to the Lancaster family. Thatâs why you need to be extra careful,â Emmy reminded with a grave expression.
âI know, Mom.â
Gage then turned to Astrid. âHow about you, Aster. Which school did you apply to?â
âRedwood School of Performing Arts,â Astrid answered with a smile.
Gage looked confused. Because he hadnât heard the school his son mentioned. But Emmyâs expression almost cracked because she knew exactly what kind of school it was.

Meanwhile, in the military base of the Emperor Star, a man with white hair was sitting inside a conference hall. His pair of golden eyes were filled with impatience.
