Chapter 1 Rent-A-Girlfriend...

2 Years Ago....

Currently at a high school graduation, a boy with brown hair and green eyes, named Nhazul Hatake was in the middle of taking pictures with his friends, having graduated from High school.

???: Holy hell! I can't believe we're finally out of this place!

???: Yeah, 3 years of hell are finally over...

Nhazul: (18 years old) Yeah, now we can walk into the hell we all know as college.

???: Yeah, but at least the trade off is tons of cute collage girls.

Nhazul: Well, you have fun with that. I'm already taken.

???: Where is she anyway? You bringing her to the party?

Nhazul: Yeah, she went to the bathroom, I'll go see if she came out or not. I'll catch up later.

Leaving his friends, Nhazul proceeded to make his way inside, and caught a glimpse of his girl walking around a corner. Quickly following her, Nhazul called out to her.

Nhazul: Hey, there you are, come on, we're-

Just as Nhazul was about to turn the corner, he's stopped dead in his tracks. Looking ahead of him, Nhazul looked at the reflection of the window, seeing his girlfriend making out with another boy, completely and utterly shocking him.

Boy: Hey... Are you sure we should be doing this? Don't you have a boyfriend?

Girlfriend: Oh, I'm done with him. I was only using him to buy me whatever I wanted. I couldn't care less about him.

The boy just smirked.

Boy: Then in that case.

The boy and Nhazul's girlfriend continued making out, as Nhazul said nothing,

looking down, tears streaming down his face before walking away, heartbroken.

Present Day...

Currently, within his apartment, Nhazul was laying down on his bed, looking at his phone, looking through social media.

Nhazul:(20 years old) ...

As he continued to scroll through his phone, he found a picture from 2 years ago. Him and his Ex together.

Nhazul: ...

Nhazul just sighed annoyed before clicking off, but soon saw a text from one of his friends.

Nhazul: Hmm?

Friend's text: Yo, we're going out for the day, wear something nice!

Nhazul: Where something nice? If it's just us, why am I dressing up?

Nhazul just rolled his eyes, not giving it much thought, going to his bathroom to take a shower.

Nhazul: Whatever. I haven't gone out in awhile. I'll just to get out the house.

(Timeskip)

After taking a shower and getting dressed, Nhazul made his way to where he was meeting up with his friends, waiting for them, but after 30 minutes, they were no where to be seen.

Nhazul's thoughts: The hell is talking them so long? And why did they want me to take a selfie of myself?

Suddenly, Nhazul received a text from his friend.

Friend's Text: You'll thank me later.

Nhazul: Huh?

???: Green jacket, blue jeans.

Nhazul looked back behind him to see a girl with chestnut-brown hair and brown eyes, smiling at him.

???: (19 years old) You must be Nhazul, right?

Nhazul just looked at the girl, giving her a look.

Nhazul: And you are?

???: Chizuru, Chizuru Mizuhara! Your date, silly.

Nhazul just looked at the girl, now even more annoyed.

Nhazul: ...-_-... Huh...?

(Timeskip)

After meeting up with Chizuru for his "date", she had dragged him to a cafe, as the two sat down at a table. Chizuru grabbed the menu, flipping it right side up, as Nhazul sat there annoyed.

Nhazul's thoughts: Those jackasses... Did they really set me up on a damn date with some random girl...?

Chizuru: Umm...

Nhazul was brought out of his thoughts, looking at Chizuru, seeing her hold her hands.

Nhazul: ...-_-... Huh?

Nhazul's thoughts: Is she waiting for me to pay her...? Wait a minute, she's from that stupid Rent a Girlfriend app, isn't she...?

Chizuru: Nhazul?

Nhazul just looked at Chizuru, before smiling at her, pulling out his wallet.

Nhazul: Right, my bad. Here you go.

Nhazul said, paying Chizuru.

Chizuru: Fee received. Thank you!

Nhazul: Of course.

After paying Chizuru,she and Nhazul spent the entire day together, before walking to the train station. As they did, Chizuru grabbed Nhazul's hand, holding it while blushing. Once reaching the station, the two said their goodbyes.

Chizuru: Well, I had lots of fun today.

Nhazul: Yeah, I did too.

Chizuru: Thanks, Nhazul! See you!

Nhazul: Yeah, see you.

As Chizuru left she was out of sight, Nhazul immediately dropped his facade, returning to his annoyed look.

Nhazul's thoughts: What a joke. That kind and considerate act, cutesy and bubbly personality, being oblivious, holding hands....

Nhazul then proceeded to think about his Ex, clinching his fists tightly, irritated.

Nhazul's thoughts: What a fucking joke...!

As Nhazul proceeded to walk away, he downloaded the Rent a Girlfriend app, finding her profile. Looking at the reviews, he saw the experience she gave him was the exact same as others.

Nhazul: I figured as much. But it's whatever.

Nhazul smirked, as he proceeded to leave a 1 star review, and commented his horrible experience.

Nhazul's thoughts: I'd gladly spend 20,000 yen, just to be petty. It's the only reason why I played along. I can immediately tell she's like a double sided coin. Her true self and that facade she tries to keep for her dates. Just one bad review is going to drive her nuts.

(Timeskip)

It's the next day, and currently Nhazul was at the hospital, with a bag in his hand, full of games and snacks. As he rounded the corner, he ran into Chizuru, who looked at him wide eyed, as he just smiled.

Nhazul: Oh, fancy meeting you here! How are you?

Without warning, Chizuru grabbed Nhazul's hand, dragging him into an empty room, shutting the door and looking at him furiously.

Chizuru: Okay, look, you...! What's your problem?! Seriously, are you stupid?!

Nhazul: Oh what ever do you mean?

Chizuru: Don't play stupid with me! Why did you leave me a one star review?! Did I do something wrong on our date?!

Nhazul: Oh, no. I had wonderful time. I hadn't been out in a few days and it was nice.

Chizuru: Then why?! That brought my rating down a whole 0.3 points, you know!

Nhazul: Petty.

Chizuru: Huh?

Nhazul: I did it to be petty.

Chizuru: To be petty?! You gave me 20,000 yen just to be petty?!

Nhazul: Yeah. I did. And it clearly worked.

Chizuru: What is your deal?!

Nhazul: My deal? My deal is that stupid facade you put up, as well as your job as a whole.

Chizuru: Huh?!

Nhazul: You act like you care, like you're interested. You get into fake relationships with people you have no interest in just for money.

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul even more annoyed.

Chizuru: Are you serious?! Are you an idiot?! That's the entire point! It's call "Rent a Girlfriend" for a reason! That's how it works! Weren't you the one who made the request?! You saw the user agreement and clicked "I agree", didn't you?!

Nhazul: As a matter of fact I didn't! My friend set the entire thing up! I didn't agree to anything, so I can complain all I fucking want!

Chizuru: I don't get you, why are you so bitter?! I'm just trying to do my job!

Nhazul began thinking of his Ex girlfriend, beginning to clinch his fist annoyed, when suddenly they both heard the door open.

???: Big bro?

???: Chizuru?

Both Nhazul and Chizuru both looked surprised to see a little boy, and older women in a wheelchair.

Nhazul: L-Leo...?

Chizuru: G-Grandma...?

Sayuri: I thought I heard you. What are you doing and who's this young man?

Chizuru: I-I.. I, uh...

Leo then looked at. Nhazul excitedly.

Leo: (7 years old) Big bro! Big bro! Is she your girlfriend?!

Nhazul: H-Huh?!

Leo: You started dating again! That's cool! She's really pretty too.

Sayuri: Oh, he's the older brother you told me about. You mean my granddaughter is your brother's boyfriend?

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-... Oh for fuck sakes...

Nhazul: L-Leo... She isn't-

Suddenly, Chizuru grabbed Nhazul's arm, switching to her rental girlfriend personally.

Chizuru: What? Your little brother is friends with my grandma?

Leo: Yeah! She's really fun to talk to!

Chizuru: What a coincidence! Like it was written in the stars!

Nhazul just looked at Chizuru dumbfounded.

Nhazul's thoughts: What are you doing?!

Leo: Hey, Miss Ichinose, if my brother married your granddaughter, will that make us family?

Sayuri: That's very much a possibility.

Nhazul and Chizuru: Say no to collusion!

After visiting their brother and Grandmother, both Nhazul and Chizuru went outside to sit on a bench together.

Nhazul: Any reason why lied to them saying we're dating?

Chizuru: It was in heat of the moment. Besides, lots of clients introduce me to their family.

Nhazul: ...-_-... I was not one of them.

Chizuru: Oh be quiet. It's my fault for keeping my job a secret for so long. Let's just tell them we broke up. That's the best option.

Nhazul: It's the only option.

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul annoyed, before speaking up.

Chizuru: Why did your brother immediately think we were dating?

Nhazul just sighed annoyed.

Nhazul: Because he's been in my business. Always worried about my love life after I caught my Ex cheating on me.... He wants me to go back to how use to be. But that won't ever happen...

Chizuru: What's wrong with him? Why is he here?

Nhazul just sighs, looking back.

Nhazul: Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

Chizuru looked at Nhazul completely shocked.

Chizuru: AIDS?! How did that even happen?!

Nhazul: During his birth, dystocia had happened and a caesarean section had to be performed. An accident during this operation caused a large amount of bleeding and he needed a blood transfusion. Unfortunately, the blood was contaminated.

Chizuru: I see... And your parents?

Nhazul: Working to pay for his treatments. Due to the accident, the hospital offered to provide his room for free, but those treatments whenever he comes aren't cheap. Sometimes he's fine, but sometimes he's not. He's spent his whole life going back and forth to the hospital.

Chizuru: Hmm.

Nhazul: Hmm?

Chizuru: I think I understand you a little bit.

Nhazul: That so?

Chizuru: There's no one alive who doesn't get lonely. Just a lot of people good at hiding it. They all fill the void in their heart with work, significant others, or in your case, being a complete ass hole.

Nhazul just looked at Chizuru annoyed.

Nhazul: ...-_-... I don't need to be psychoanalyzed by some two face girl who throws a hissy fit over a single 1 star review...

Chizuru looked at Nhazul again annoyed, as he stood up, getting ready to walk away.

Nhazul: I'll tell my little brother next time I see him.

As Nhazul went to walk away, Chizuru spoke up again.

Chizuru: I'm no different. I want to make my grandma happy, too. But...I just can't quit this job right now.

Nhazul: That so. Well have fun with that.

Chizuru: I doubt you will, but if you're ever feeling lonely, you could always rent me again.

Nhazul: ...-_-... You're right. I highly doubt it...

Chizuru looked at Nhazul annoyed.

Chizuru: You jerk...!

(Timeskip)

It's the next day, and currently Nhazul was walking through his college campus. As he did, he noticed someone walking with a group of friends and seeing them, made Nhazul clinch his fist irritated.

Nhazul: ...

???: Yo!

Suddenly, someone patted Nhazul's shoulder, and he looked back to see his friends, Zane and Sai.

Zane: (21 years old) So, how was the date? We hit shuffle, so hopefully you get someone pretty cool.

Without warning, Nhazul turned around, grabbing Zane's face, irritated.

Nhazul: Never again...

Sai: (20 years old) I told you he'd be mad...

Suddenly, the three heard the sound of papers dropping. The three looked in front of them, as Nhazul's eyes widened to see Chizuru.

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-... You have got to be kidding me...
