Chapter 2 Ex Girlfriend...

No one's POV

Suddenly, someone patted Nhazul's shoulder, and he looked back to see his friends, Zane and Sai.

Zane: So, how was the date? We hit shuffle, so hopefully you get someone pretty cool.

Without warning, Nhazul turned around, grabbing Zane's face, irritated.

Nhazul: Never again...

Sai:I told you he'd be mad...

Suddenly, the three heard the sound of papers dropping. The three looked in front of them, as Nhazul's eyes widened to see Chizuru, as she did the same.

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-... You have got to be kidding me...

Zane: Do you know her?

Nhazul: Nope...

Chizuru bent down, picking up her papers and quickly walked away.

Zane: Who even was she?

Sai: I think I've seen her around the literature department.

Zane looked at Nhazul.

Zane: So, what's the story?

Nhazul: Story? I said I don't know her.

Zane: Yeah right, there's obviously something between you two.

Sai: Did you finally drop the asshole act and meet someone before Zane set you up on the date?

Nhazul: ...-_-... Nope and Nope...

Zane just rolled his eyes sighing, before he and Sai walked away.

Zane: Well, whatever. We'll see you later.

Nhazul: Yeah.

As Nhazul left to go to his class, he's suddenly pulled into a storage closet by Chizuru, pushing him against the wall.

Nhazul: ...-_-... I'm sorry, but can I help you?

Chizuru: Don't you dare tell anyone! You don't know me at all! And there's nothing between us!

Nhazul: ...-_-... You're disguise is so horrible, it hurts my head...

Chizuru: Huh? What's wrong with it?

Nhazul: ...-_-... The same thing that's wrong with Superman's.... You changed your hair and put on glasses... How people don't recognize you is beyond my knowledge...

Chizuru: I'm keeping my job a secret! Problem with that? I do it because I don't want people talking behind my back!

Nhazul: You say this as if I really care....

Chizuru: Repeat after me! You and I are...

Nhazul: You do realize you're drawing more attention to yourself, right? You dragging me into a room and running your mouth until your grandmother and my brother heard us. This is exactly how we got caught last time.

Chizuru looked at Nhazul annoyed, but didn't say anything, knowing he was right. Nhazul just grabbed his bag, getting ready to walk out.

Nhazul: Like I said, I couldn't care less about you or your stupid job. I wasn't going to go out of my way to talk to you unlike a certain someone in the room.

As Nhazul walked out, Chizuru continued to look at him annoyed.

It's the next day, and as Nhazul was getting ready to leave, trash in hand to throw out. He happened to turn to his right, seeing his neighbor open their door, seeing it was Chizuru.

The two looked at each other completely and utterly shocked.

Nhazul: Oh come the fuck on, really?!

Chizuru: What are you doing here?!

Nhazul: What do you mean " What am I doing here,"? I live here!

Chizuru: I mean why do you live here?!

Nhazul: What kind of stupid question is that?!

It's later in the day, and currently Nhazul was sitting against his bed, looking at tv when his phone started ringing, seeing it was his brother.

Nhazul: Hey, little bro.

Leo: Hey, big brother! I'm having trouble with this boss in Dark Souls 3! Get on and help me!

Nhazul just rolled his eyes, walking to her balcony, getting some air, putting it on speaker.

Nhazul: And who says I'm not busy, huh?

Leo: Oh! Is your girlfriend with you?

When Leo said that, Nhazul just sighed.

Nhazul: Leo... There's something I need to tell you...

Leo: Big brother... Your girlfriend broke up with you, didn't she?

Nhazul looked at his phone surprised, as he didn't say anything.

Nhazul: ...

Leo: You were being mean to her, right? Like you do all girls...

Nhazul: ...

Leo: You haven't been the same after your first girlfriend... You used to be really happy, but now you're just mean to all the girls who talk to you. I want the old you back.

Nhazul just sighed, looking down saddened.

Nhazul's thoughts: For a little kid, he's too smart and observant... Still... I don't think you quite realize that going back isn't that simple...

Nhazul: I'm sorry, Leo...

Chizuru: Sorry I'm late, Nhazul!

Nhazul looked up surprised, looking over to see Chizuru leaning over her rail, talking.

Chizuru: I just got off of work.

Nhazul: What are you-

Leo: Oh! Miss Chizuru! You're there!

Chizuru: Of course! Your big brother's been calling me all day.

Leo: So you guys didn't break up?

Chizuru: Of course not!

Leo: That's so good to hear! I thought my big brother was mean to you.

Chizuru: Of course not! He's quite the gentleman.

Leo: I'd love to see you guys again! Can you come with him when he vists me?

Chizuru: Of course! I'd love to.

Leo: Yay! Oh, I have to take my medicine, I'll talk to you guys later!

As Leo hung up, Nhazul looked over at Chizuru annoyed.

Nhazul: What the hell was that?

Chizuru; I'm not as mean as you think. To upset a little kid who's in the hospital.

Nhazul: And doing so is keeping this lie going now.

Chizuru: I'm quite aware of that, thank you. And besides, it seems like you didn't want to disappoint your little brother either.

Nhazul just rolled his eyes annoyed.

Nhazul: So now what?

Chizuru: I'll be your fake girlfriend whenever you visit your brother.

Nhazul: Huh?!

Chizuru: Neither of us want to disappoint your little brother, right? So let's just keep it going for the time being.

Nhazul didn't say anything, and sighed annoyed, not wanting to disappoint his brother.

Nhazul: Fine...

Chizuru: I'm not doing this for your, it's for your brother.

Nhazul: ...-_-... Yes, I know! You've made that abundantly clear...!

It's the next day, and currently Nhazul was walking through the campus wearing his headphones, when he accidentally bumped into someone, causing his headphones to fall. Looking over, Nhazul's eyes widened, to see the person he bumped into was Mami, his Ex girlfriend. Seeing it was him, Mami smiled at him.

Mami: Heya, Nhazi!

Nhazul: ...

Mami: What's wrong, Nhazi? You're spacing out.

Nhazul: ...

Mami bent down, picking up Nhazul's headphones, handing them to him.

Mami: Here.

Nhazul didn't say anything, taking his headphones back, before walking away.

Mani: Later!

As Nhazul watched Mami walk away, he began clinching his fists tightly, irritated.

Nhazul's thoughts: You act like nothing ever happened...

Suddenly, Nhazul felt something hit his back, seeing it was Zane.

Zane: Enough.

Nhazul looked at Zane.

Zane: I know this is something you've been holding onto for over 2 years. But you just need to drop it and forget about her. This animosity you have towards her and women now as a whole isn't going to do you any good in the long run.

Nhazul: ...

Elsewhere, Mami was currently walking through the halls with two of her friends, looking at something on her phone.

Friend#1: Mami, that guy was the Ex you told us about, right? The one who just up and left you with a word?

Friend#2: He's totally not over you. His gaze is so scary.

Mami: Oh, really?

Friend#2: Wow, what a player!

Friend#1: Right? Acts like it's not her problem. Bet he regrets leaving high and dry.

Friend#2: I can't believe you dated him. He's such a jerk to all the girls. I can't imagine him in a relationship, he's probably hit his girlfriend without a second thought.

Mami proceeded to look back at her friends, shooting them an extremely piercing and hostile glare.

Mami: Oh... Really..?

Continuing to walk away, Mami's friends looked at her nervously.

It's the next day Nhazul was in the middle of getting dressed, when he heard his doorbell ring. Walking out, he saw Chizuru leaning on a rail, waiting for him.

Chizuru: What are you doing? Isn't it-

Chizuru noticed Nhazul was shirtless,

seeing his toned body, blushing, before covering her nose, looking away.

Nhazul: ...-_-... The hell is wrong with you?

Chizuru: N-Nothing...! Put your shirt on and let's go...

After putting on his shirt, Nhazul and Chizuru began making their way to the hospital, as she spoke up.

Chizuru: Let's pick somewhere else to meet up. If my agency finds out we're meeting by our front doors, they'll fire me. We won't be socializing outside of dates, but I'll do my job as usual whenever I'm your "girlfriend". There's no need to go easy on me in reviews.

Nhazul: ...-_-... You want me to pay you, despite this being your idea?

Chizuru: Since I'm with you, I won't be able to go on other dates. So it's the least you can do.

Nhazul just looked at Chizuru annoyed.

Nhazul: Fine...

After paying Chizuru, she immediately switched to girlfriend mode.

Chizuru: Shall we get going, Nhazul?

Nhazul: ...-_-... You switch between those personalities as natural as breathing, don't you...?

After visiting his brother, Nhazul and Chizuru proceeded to make their way home, and Chizuru spoke up.

Chizuru: C-Can we hold-

Nhazul: Nope.

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul annoyed.

Chizuru: Can you at least go with me to pick my order?

Nhazul: Fine...

The two of them proceeded to make their way to a bar, picking up Chizuru's order, when suddenly they heard two voices behind them.

???: Nhazul?

Nhazul's eyes widened, looking back to see Zane and Sai.

Nhazul's thoughts: Why has my luck been so shit lately...?

Sai then noticed Chizuru was next to Nhazul, surprising him.

Sai: Oh? You're actually with a girl? And you're not looking at her like a piece of trash?

Nhazul: Fuck you...

Zane: So you're finally trying to move on, huh? About time. Guess that date we set you up on did more good then you thought.

Nhazul: Look, we aren't-

Sai: How about you come and join us? We're going to meet Sasano Senpai for drinks.

Chizuru: U-Um...

Nhazul: As fun as that sounds, we're going to have to decline...

Sai: Oh come on, a few drinks won't hurt.

Zane: Come on, it'll be fun. The others won't believe us if we told them anyway.

After being dragged by Zane and Sai, both Nhazul and Chizuru took the elevator up. As the two stood in silence, Nhazul sighed annoyed.

Nhazul: ...-_-... This is my day now...

Chizuru: You're paying for an extension...

Nhazul: Huh?!

After the two got off the elevator, they made their way to the private room with Zane and Sai, opening the door.

Zane: Yo, sorry we're late. We ran into Nhazul and his date and brought them along.

Everyone in the room looked completely shocked, confusing them.

Sai: Uhh, what's with the shift in tone...?

Nhazul looked over and his eyes widened, seeing Mami was in the room.

Mami: Nhazi?

Nhazul: You...

Zane and Sai looked just as surprised, looking at Nhazul.

Sai: Shit...

Zane: We had no idea she'd be here...

Nhazul: ...

Nhazul began clinching his fist tightly, irritated, which Chizuru noticed. Deciding to stay, everyone sat down and began to order, as it was extremely awkward now. But to this, Mami was the first to speak up.

Mami: Come on, guys. Why are we being so awkward? I've moved on, too, so it's all in the past. Let's enjoy our drinks!

Nhazul just narrowed his eyes annoyed.

Nhazul's thoughts: I'm sure you did. A long fucking time ago...

Mami: Let's just forget about it all. It must be awkward for his date, right, Nhazi?

Nhazul didn't say anything, which again Chizuru noticed, as he stood up.

Nhazul: I'm going to the bathroom...

After leaving the room, Nhazul went to the bathroom, splashing his face with water.

Nhazul: ...

Nhazul looked into the mirror, and couldn't help think about his memories with Mani, when they dated during high school. Thinking back to them, extremely irritated him.

Nhazul: Damn it...

Upon returning, Nhazul saw that Mami was now sitting closer to Chizuru

Mami: Oh, welcome back , Nhazi!

Nhazul: What are you doing?

Mami: Oh, I just found her incredibly pretty. But if you go any further with Nhazul, you should have a heads up.

Nhazul: Huh?

Mami: Once he's bored with you, he'll up and leave you without saying a word. He did it to me, so I'm just giving you a warning in advance.

Everyone just looked at Mani shocked, as she continued to casually bad mouth Nhazul.

Mami: I was so surprised and upset, not a call, text or anything, he just up and ghosted me after he graduated from high school. I guess I served my purpose once he graduated. I guess he wanted a more attractive girl.

Zane just looked at Mami annoyed.

Zane: Listen, you-

Nhazul: That's funny... That's really funny...

Chizuru looked over at Nhazul, seeing how irritated and visibly hurt he was.

Nhazul: You sit there and accuse me of things I apparently did, all while you act like you're innocent... People like you make me sick...

Nhazul then started thinking back to catching Mami cheating on him.

Nhazul: You act like you're the victim, when you're the one who's holding the knife!

Nhazul just got up again, walking out of the room. As Nhazul proceeded to leave, Chizuru walked up behind him.

Chizuru: You should have told her off more.

Nhazul: That so...?

Chizuru: Yeah. I gave her a piece of my mind too.

Nhazul: And who asked you to?

Chizuru looked at Nhazul surprised.

Chizuru: Huh?

Nhazul: I said who asked you to? I didn't ask you to, so mind your damn business....

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul offended.

Chizuru: What the hell is your problem?! I was trying to be nice!

Nhazul just chuckled.

Nhazul: Trying to be nice, huh...? Then let me ask you this... Were you being nice to be genuine, or because your were playing a part?

Chizuru looked at Nhazul even more offended, before she walked past him leaving, without saying a word.

Nhazul: ...

After leaving himself, Nhazul stopped by the store to pick up a few things. After leaving, he could hear someone calling him.

???: Nhazi!

Nhazul looked back behind him, seeing Mami, narrowing his eyes.

Nhazul: What do you want?

Mami looked away, blushing a bit.

Mami: It's a bit late. My place isn't far from here... Think you can walk me home...?

Nhazul didn't say anything, reluctantly walking her home, due to it being late. Upon walking her to her house , she leaned on the door, blushing.

Mami: You know, it's pretty late walk home. If you were alright with it... I wouldn't mind if you spent the night...

Nhazul: ...
