Chapter 5 Hot Springs

No one's POV

At an unknown location, Chizuru began to stir awake, not knowing what was happening or going on.

Chizuru: Huh...? Where am I...?

Chizuru then began to remember what happened.

Chizuru's thoughts: Oh, right... I fell off the ferry...

Chizuru then felt something was on top of her, looking over to see Nhazul, who was bleeding from his forehead. Seeing him, made Chizuru's eyes widened remembering he's the one who rescued her.

Chizuru's thoughts: He jumped in to save me..?

Chizuru: This keeps getting worse. Not only can I not take care is myself, I even put my client in danger!

Chizuru looked back over at Nhazul.

Chizuru: Hey, are you alright?

Nhazul didn't respond, confusing her.

Chizuru: Nhazul?

Again not getting a response, Chizuru quickly realized that not only was Nhazul unconscious, but wasn't breathing, shocking her. She quickly got from underneath him, trying to wake him up.

Chizuru: Hey! Wake up! This isn't funny! Wake up, come on!

Still getting no response, Chizuru attempted to preform CPR on him.

Chizuru: What was it...? Pump the chest 30 times...

As Chizuru proceeded to pump Nhazul's chest, she looked at him annoyed and genuinely worried about him.

Chizuru: What the hell are you playing?!

Chizuru's thoughts: Why put your life at risk like this when I'm not even your real girlfriend...!

Chizurus: You dumbass...! How stupid are you??

Seeing how pumping his chest wasn't working, she began to get more worried.

Chizuru: Damn it...!

(Flashback)

Zane: I don't know what you both talked about, but I'm sure his trust issues were clouding his judgment, so I hope you can just give him a chance. I'm positive you won't regret it. Despite the facade he puts up, he's a good guy.

(Flashback)

Leo: You haven't been the same after your first girlfriend... You used to be really happy, but now you're just mean to all the girls who talk to you. I want the old you back.

(Present)

Looking at Nhazul, she began blushing before leaning down on putting her mouth onto his,

giving him mouth to mouth resuscitation. After a few seconds, Nhazul began coughing up water, before leaning over and throwing it up. Looking back he saw Chizuru blushing like crazy.

Nhazul: Y-You saved me...?

Chizuru: I'm sorry!

Nhazul: Huh?

Chizuru: I'm sorry you had to jump in to save me...

Nhazul just looked at Chizuru and sighed before leaning on a rock.

Nhazul: No.. It's fine...

After being saved by the coast guard, Nhazul and Chizuru met up with Nhazul's friends and were getting ready to be taken to the hospital, but Nhazul looked at Chizuru.

Nhazul: Chizuru... Thanks for saving me...

Chizuru looked at Nhazul and just smiled, now in girlfriend mode.

Chizuru: Why wouldn't I? I'm your girlfriend after all.

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-... As natural as breathing...

As Chizuru left, Zane walked up to Nhazul.

Zane: Seems like everything worked out between you two. You started dating for real now?

Nhazul just sighed.

Nhazul: No, it isn't like that.

(Timeskip)

After staying at the hospital over night, Nhazul and the others went back home and were dropping him off at his apartment.

Zane: Say "hi" for me next time you see Chizuru.

Nhazul: ...-_-...What part of not dating do you not get?

Zane just rolled his eyes.

Zane: You're still on about this?

Nhazul: It isn't as simple as you think.

Zane: It actually really is, you're just getting in your own way. You put your life on the line for her. If that isn't proof of you having feelings for her, then what was it?

Nhazul: ...-_-... Not letting someone drown...?

Zane: Whatever you say.

As Zane and his other friends left, Nhazul just rolled his eyes and sighed.

???: So you're just getting back too, huh?

Nhazul looked behind him and saw Chizuru walking up to him.

Nhazul: Yeah.

Chizuru didn't say anything, walking up the stairs, but Nhazul stopped her by speaking up.

Nhazul: I already booked it for next week. It'll be the last time.

Chizuru didn't say anything and continued to walk up to her apartment.

Chizuru: Right...

Nhazul just sighed and made his way into his apartment, he sat his bags on the floor and laid down on his bed, looking at his phone. As he did, he saw everyone posting pictures on social media, but suddenly got a text from Mami.

Mami's text: I didn't get a chance to say it, but I'm glad you're alright.

Nhazul: ...

Mani then sent another text, with a picture attached.

Mami's text: I really wish you would have came...

Nhazul just looked at the picture and sighed, not responding and putting his phone on his nightstand before going to turn on his AC, before taking a nap.

(Timeskip)

It's been a week, and currently, Nhazul was in the back seat of a car with Leo and his parents, driving towards the mountains.

Nhazul: Any reason why we're going to the mountains?

Leo: Hot spring resort!

Nhazul: Hot springs?

Mom: Your brother was quite adamant on going to the hot springs after getting released, so we arranged the trip for after he was discharged.

Dad: I hear they have amazing food. I can't wait to try it.

Nhazul: That so.

Leo: Yeah! I think big bro is going to enjoy this the most!

Nhazul: Huh? Me? Why do you think that?

Leo: Just a feeling.

Nhazul: Alright then...

(Timeskip)

After arriving at the hot springs, Nhazul was making his way to his own room.

Nhazul's thoughts: I don't know why I have a room to myself... There's four beds to a room. This place is pretty expensive, this seems counter productive...

Nhazul went into the room and saw a couch, a bed, tv and balcony. On the table, he saw drinks and snacks.

Nhazul's thoughts: Did they not clean up after the last guests.

Nhazul picked up the trash, throwing it out.

Nhazul's thoughts: It's not ideal, but I need to tell Leo Chizuru and I broke up. There's no doubt he already told mom and dad, so I need to end this before it gets too out of hand.

Suddenly, he heard the toilet flush, confusing him, as someone walked out.

???: Hey, grandma! Can you help me do my hair?

Nhazul looked over and saw Chizuru, making their eyes widened.

Nhazul: ...-_-... You have got to be kidding me...

Chizuru: W-What are you doing here?! Why are you in my room?!

Nhazul: Your room? This is my room!

Chizuru: No it isn't! This is my room I'm sharing with my grandma!

Nhazul: No, this is the room my family gave me because- Wait, grandma?

Chizuru: Your family...? Including your brother...?

Nhazul: ...

Chizuru: ...

Nhazul and Chizuru: We were set up!!!

After going to confront their families, they found out Leo had been telling his parents all about Chizuru and decided to let them have a room to themselves as Chizuru's grandmother shared a room with them, taking the forth bed.

Nhazul: ...-_-... This is just lovely...

Chizuru: What do we do now?

Nhazul: Telling them we broke up now would just ruin the trip for them.... We could ask for another room, but this place is already expensive as is..

Chizuru: Don't go there... I'm low this month too...

Nhazul: ...-_-...When you're that expensive...?

Chizuru looked at Nhazul annoyed.

Chizuru: What did you say?!

Nhazul: ...-_-... When you're that expensive...?

Chizuru: Don't repeat it!

Chizuru then sighed, slamming her hands down.

Chizuru: Forget it... I'm just going to enjoy this.

Nhazul: Enjoy?

Chizuru: My grandmom paid a small fortune for this. Can't let it go to waste!

Nhazul: Such resilience...

Chizuru: I'm hitting the bath. I know it's awkward, but this can't keep going on. I'm going to tell them we broke up. Got that?

Chizuru closed the door, leaving Nhazul as he rolled his eyes.

Nhazul: Have fun with that.

(Timeskip)

It's later in the night and both Nhazul and Chizuru were sitting at a table getting ready to eat, as Nhazul saw she had a conflicted look.

Nhazul: So, how did it go?

Chizuru: I've given up trying to figure out this mess!

Nhazul: ...-_-... Couldn't do it, could you?

Chizuru: Gotta get our money's worth!

Nhazul: ...-_-... I'll take that as a no.

Chizuru: Here, cheers.

Nhazul just sighed and cheered with Chizuru.

Nhazul: Cheers.

As Nhazul began to drink, he heard Chizuru eating.

Chizuru: Mmmm! So yummy!

Nhazul just rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his soup, as Chizuru gave him a look.

Chizuru: Uh, isn't that the sauce?

Nhazul quickly spit it out, annoyed.

Nhazul: The hell?! Why would they put sauce in a soup bowl?!

Chizuru just started giggling at him.

Chizuru: You're such a dummy.

Nhazul just gave her a look, and as the night went on, he watched her enjoy herself genuinely.

Nhazul's thoughts: So far I've seen her bitch mode and girlfriend mode, but this is different. She's acting like a normal girl.

Nhazul just sighed, before laying out on the couch.

Nhazul: Well, Goodnight.

Chizuru: Huh?

Nhazul: I'm sleeping on the couch. So enjoy the bed.

Chizuru just looked down and started blushing.

Chizuru: What's the big deal? Why can't we share the bed...?

Nhazul looked at her confused, before noticing she was blushing.

Nhazul's thoughts: She's blushing? The hell?
