Chapter 6 Double Date

No one's POV

As the the night went on, Nhazul just watched Chizuru enjoy herself genuinely.

Nhazul's thoughts: So far I've seen her bitch mode and girlfriend mode, but this is different. She's acting like a normal girl.

Nhazul just sighed, before laying out on the couch.

Nhazul: Well, Goodnight.

Chizuru: Huh?

Nhazul: I'm sleeping on the couch. So enjoy the bed.

Chizuru just looked down and started blushing.

Chizuru: What's the big deal? Why can't we share the bed...?

Nhazul looked at her confused, before noticing she was blushing.

Nhazul's thoughts: She's blushing? The hell?

Chizuru: Don't get it wrong... I just feel bad making you sleep on a couch... ! Customers have the right to the service they pay for!

Nhazul: ...-_-... Uh huh...

As Chizuru turned the lights off, as Nhazul reluctantly got into the bed with her, the two faced away from each other.

Chizuru: Goodnight.

Nhazul: Yeah.

Minutes passed, as the two laid in the bed with each other. As Nhazul was laying there, Nhazul thought back to what Zane said.

(Flashback)

Zane: It actually really is, you're just getting in your own way. You put your life on the line for her. If that isn't proof of you having feelings for her, then what was it?

(Present)

Nhazul's thoughts: Why the hell am I thinking about this now? There's no way I could fall for her, or fall for anyone.

(Flashback)

Boy: Hey... Are you sure we should be doing this? Don't you have a boyfriend?

Mami: Oh, I'm done with him. I was only using him to buy me whatever I wanted. I couldn't care less about him.

The boy just smirked.

Boy: Then in that case.

The boy and Mami continued making out, as Nhazul said nothing,

looking down, tears streaming down his face before walking away, heartbroken.

(Present)

Nhazul's thoughts: Never again... I won't go through it again... Never...!

(Flashback)

Leo: You haven't been the same after your first girlfriend... You used to be really happy, but now you're just mean to all the girls who talk to you. I want the old you back.

(Present)

Nhazul just sighed annoyed, before speaking up.

Nhazul: Hey... I've been thinking about it for awhile. Why don't we keep this lie going for a little while longer? Abruptly ending off the relationship the way we've been trying to do seems too forced. If we continued to go along with it for awhile longer, the break up would feel more believable.

Nhazul's thoughts: This is for Leo and nothing more. As soon as I find the right opportunity, I'll tell him the truth.

Chizuru: Sure. You can rent me out for a little while longer. The whole concept of Rental Girlfriends exists to help clients, many of whom want to become better people. I agree, the way we've been trying to do it seems forced and waiting a bit longer would make it believable. But we both know how he lying needs to stop as soon as possible. That has to be our top priority.

Nhazul: Yeah. I know.

(Timeskip)

It's been a few days and Nhazul and Chizuru decided to keep their relationship lie going, informing Nhazul's friends, but Mami was not happy about it at all. After class, the two of them went to a cafe to go over their current situation.

Chizuru: Let's go over out current situation. I did say you could keep renting me out, but we need to adhere to some ground rules. I will need to charge you, or it'll set a bad precedent for my other clients.

Nhazul: ...-_-... Yeah, that's definitely the reason.

Chizuru: Be quiet. When I'm your girlfriend, it'll be business as usual. And you can be as honest as you want in your reviews.

Nhazul: Yeah, yeah I know.

Chizuru looked at Nhazul's phone and noticed it was cracked.

Chizuru: What happened to your phone?

Nhazul: I dropped it when I had to save a certain someone from drowning.

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul annoyed. After paying for the rental, the two left the cafe, with Chizuru entering Girlfriend Mode.

Chizuru: Thanks for that. The coffee was great.

Nhazul: ...-_-... Yeah, I'm sure it was. Since I kept you from drowning, I should get a discount.

Chizuru just smiled, completely ignoring the question.

Chizuru: Shall we get going?

Nhazul: Don't ignore me, you ass!

After walking Chizuru to the train station, Nhazul began walking away, before hey got a text from Sai.

Sai's text: Hey, can you do me a favor?

Nhazul's text: What is it?

Sail's text: Well, let's just say I met this girl while you were away, and I asked her on a date. I was wondering if you and Chizuru wanted to double date?

Nhazul's thoughts: Double date?

Nhazul's text: I'll have to ask her. I'll get back to you.

As Nhazul was walking,

someone ran into him, and he saw a girl with black hair and blue eyes, as she fell to the ground, as Nhazul just looked at her.

Nhazul: Are you alright?

The girl looked up at Nhazul, but quickly realized her panties were showing, pulling her skirt down, looking at him annoyed.

???: Perv!

Nhazul: ...-_-... Huh?

The girl quickly got up and ran off, as Nhazul just looked at her.

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-... Alright then...

(Timeskip)

It's currently the weekend and after agreeing to go with him on the double date, Nhazul and Chizuru were waiting for Sai and his date. After a few minutes of waiting, they saw the two of them walking up.

Sai: Yo! Keep you waiting long?

Nhazul: No, we haven't-

Nhazul quickly noticed Sai's date was the girl from before, as they both looked at each other surprised.

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-... There's just no way...

Sai: This is Ruka Sarashina.

Ruka: Nice to meet you both.

Chizuru: Likewise.

Nhazul just continued looking at Ruka, but soon felt a glare behind, turning back to see Chizuru glaring.

Nhazul: What?

Chizuru: Nothing...

After meeting up, the four of them made their way to their destination, which was a rock climbing spot. As the four climbed for an hour, Nhazul and Sai took a break and were talking to each other.

Nhazul: So, where exactly did you meet Ruka?

Sai: Ah... Uh, some old buddies of mine invited me to a mixer and I met her there. We got to talking and just asked and see if she wanted to go on a date.

Nhazul: That so.

Sai just looked at annoyed.

Sai: Don't sound so skeptical, you ass.

Nhazul: Who says I am?

Sai: It's written on your face, asshole.

As Sai went back to join Ruka, Nhazul just looked at her, and observing her mannerisms.

Nhazul: Hmmm.

Nhazul was then brought out of his thoughts by Chizuru, who had a drink in her hand.

Chizuru: Sorry I left you alone. I got really into it.

Nhazul: I could tell. But you don't have to keep coming to check on me.

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul annoyed, before rolling her eyes and sitting down next to him.

Chizuru: Weren't you the one who said we needed to make this more believable? What girlfriend wouldn't come check on their boyfriend?

Nhazul just rolled his eyes, before Chizuru spoke up again.

Chizuru: What's with the mopping? Thinking about your Ex?

Nhazul: And you're bringing her up why?

Chizuru: Just curious is all.

Nhazul: Well, if you must know, I haven't heard anything from her since the trip.

Chizuru: That so.

Chizuru just looked at Nhazul, offering him her drink, as he looked at it.

Nhazul: What?

Chizuru just looked at him annoyed.

Chizuru: You don't have to.

Nhazul just rolled his eyes, taking it and drinking it.

Nhazul: Thanks.

Chizuru just looked away, blushing a bit.

Chizuru: Don't get the wrong idea. This is just part of the deal.

Suddenly, Ruka walked up to Chizuru.

Ruka: Chizuru, can you come with me for a bit?

Chizuru: Oh, sure.

As both Chizuru and Ruka walked away, Nhazul just sighed, finishing his drink, before returning to climbing. After around 10 minutes,

he saw Chizuru walking over to him very quickly.

Nhazul: What is it?

Chizuru: She knows.

Nhazul: Excuse me?

Chizuru: She knows I'm a rental girlfriend...!

Nhazul just looked at her with a brow raised.

Nhazul: And how did that happen?

Chizuru: I don't know! She just brought it up out of nowhere just now...!

Nhazul: ...-_-... How could she have found that out? It's not like you dragged someone into closet or empty room and started screaming unnecessarily load to draw her attention or anything...

Chizuru: Will you stop being an ass for five seconds...? I'm pretty sure I didn't give it away...

Nhazul just rolled his eyes.

Nhazul: What did she say?

Chizuru: For what it's worth, I don't know If she believed me though...

Nhazul: Well this is just lovely...

Chizuru: She hasn't told your friend yet, so maybe she isn't sure... But since she knows about rental girlfriends, we have to play our cards right.

Nhazul: In other words, we have a time bomb on our hands.

As Ruka came back, Chizuru immediately walked up to her.

Chizuru: Ruka, about your question.

Nhazul'a thoughts: ...-_-... Going right for the kill, aren't you...?

Chizuru: You seem to be misunderstanding something. Nhazul and I are really dating.

Ruka just looked at the two of them before speaking up.

Ruka: Then kiss.

Chizuru: Huh...?

Nhazul: ...-_-... Huh...?

Ruka: If you're really dating, surely you can kiss for me.

Chizuru: Uh, Ruka...?

Ruka: Sai told me Nhazul jumped into the sea to save you. You two are a dream couple and are so in love, right? You can't tell me you haven't kissed yet.

Nhazul's thoughts: ...-_-...Why do people keep associating love with just not letting someone drown...?

Nhazul just looked at Chizuru and saw her looking at him blushing.

Nhazul's thoughts: What's with the-

Without warning, Chizuru walked over to Nhazul, grabbing his face and kissed him, much to his and Ruka's surprise. After breaking the kiss, she looked at Ruka smiling, but blushing, along with Nhazul.

Chizuru: Okay, done. That was alright, right? We're in public and all.

Ruka just continued looking at the two of them, before speaking up.

Ruka: I'm still not convinced. It didn't seem right.

Chizuru just looked at Ruka annoyed, as Sai walked up to them, coming back from the bathroom.

Sai: Yo. What are you three talking about?

Nhazul's thoughts: There's too much tension now. We need to end this.

Nhazul: Chizuru, didn't you say you needed to visit your grandmother today?

Chizuru: Ah, yeah. Sorry about this, but I should get going.

Sai: Oh, don't worry about it.

As Chizuru left, Nhazul just sighed.

Nhazul's thoughts: Forced or not, letting the tension build anymore would be bad.

Sai: Guess we should bail too, huh?

Nhazul: Yeah.

As Nhazul and Sai left to get changed, Ruka just looked at him, watching him leave.

Ruka: ...

(Timeskip)

After leaving, Nhazul went with Sai to take Ruka back to the train station.

Sai: Alright, Ruka. I'll see you around. Be careful getting home.

Ruka: I will.

Nhazul just looked at Ruka, narrowing his eyes.

Nhazul's thoughts: This seems too familiar.

Ruka then looked at Nhazul.

Ruka: Goodbye, Nhazul.

Nhazul: Yeah.

As Ruka walked away, Sai looked over at Nhazul.

Sai: So, thoughts on her? Hopefully non hostile ones.

Nhazul: She seems interesting...

Sai: Is that the only non hostile thought you have... But I do have to agree though.

Nhazul: You agree?

Sai: I mean, Ruka is really cute and all, but I don't see myself dating her. I honestly asked her to get a vibe on her, but I'll just try and do things more naturally.

Nhazul: That so.

Sai: Well, I'll see you around.

Nhazul: Yeah.

As the two fist bumped, Sai left, leaving Nhazul alone. He then proceeded to walk down the stairs, and was immediately met by Ruka, who was waiting for him.

Ruka: Can I take this to mean you're admitting it, Mr Fake boyfriend?

Nhazul: I don't know, you tell me, Miss Rental girlfriend?
