His Omega of Domination
"I was thinking...what if we switched places?"
Ivan looked at Luna as she sat before them, her eyes off to the side.
"What...do you mean by that?"
"You take our place, Jeremiah and I take your place. Luv, Primus, and you can live out your lives...like normal people. Since Jeremiah and I are like your parents, Luka is here, and I am about to have a daughter - so you say. What if...we swapped? So that you don't have to die-?"
"That is far too risky." Primus spoke up with caution. "And I say that because you both have already lived life down here. To then just be sent up there with clouded judgments and having lived amongst your kind, wouldn't that-?"
"Not exactly." Luna spoke up, sitting up from the couch as she looked at Ivan warily. "But I won't go into the specifications of it because that's a big leap. What about your family?"
Ivan snorted, shaking his head at the idea of his family.
"They...hate me because of what I've done. Not to mention that it seems everyone is after...us. Jeremiah because he's forgiven me, and me because they all don't believe I deserve forgiveness. This counts my parents too..." Ivan looked at her sincerely, his hand settling on his stomach. "I...can speak for Jeremiah, as I feel him in the Bond we share together. We'd gladly take your places...to start this all over again. So that you all can be together once again and you don't have to just...die. You can just relinquish your power to our daughter and...we?"
Luna began to grin softly, "You both would take on that kind of responsibility?"
Deep down, he knew he could do it. He knew that Jeremiah certainly could do it...he's been set up for it in their world.
Following his father's advice and teachings...so that when his father retired, Jeremiah would instantly take his place as leader. He already had those types of ideals, values, and beliefs that fit such a position.
"I don't even need to be a Luna, I can simply just be there with him-."
"Absolutely not. If we are going back to the way things used to be, we have to follow through all the way." Luna insisted quickly. "You have the capabilities to handling that job properly, even if you don't think so just yet. Because once you're up there, you don't have to worry about what everyone is thinking of you. You just think about how you can better the world and to be blessed...and you bless those that blessed you. It's...not as complicated as it may seem, I promise."
Instantly, Jeremiah came through as he went over to Ivan. He cradled his face whilst looking down at him.
"I can do this if you're there with me. We will have Luka and our daughter. My parents...will understand-."
"If you both accept this now, the realm and world you live in right now will cease to exist. That's what happens to all the realms you both lived in. Because they were punishments." Luna informs them to Jeremiah's dismay. "So if you...truly let this happen and I give you two the power my parents have and give Luka all of his power back... It will start everything over, for all of us.
"We will switch places, and you two will wake up up there. Luka will be with you, and our Luka...my brother, will be back here with us. I am able...to do that much, I have that ability. My powers aren't fully depleted, but you have to make this decision within a particular amount of time. You have to decide soon...very soon."
"Well, I want to accept this for you. I want to let you to live the life you didn't ever get to have as a family. To start over...fresh start and everything. You can feel what it's like to...be like one of us." Ivan grinned, watching Luna grin softly.
When he looked over at Jeremiah, he saw the worry across his features. He rested his hand on his arm only to watch him yank it away to his surprise.
Jeremiah, unaware of his own abruptness, gasped at his actions when he realized what he just did.
"Ivan I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to yank away from you like that. I just..." Jeremiah stopped, looking over at Luna who looked the other way. "I don't want to upset anyone."
"You won't, talk to me." Ivan stood up, grabbing his hand; but just before he walked off he looked back at Luna. "We will be back, okay?"
Once he saw her nod, he took Jeremiah into another room. He watched Jeremiah lean against the wall, slowly slumping onto the ground. Ivan followed him as he sat before him on his own legs, resting his hands on his knees.
"Do you want...to tell me what's wrong just yet?" He asked softly.
"I do," Jeremiah breathed, looking at him, "I want to do this, okay? I want to take her place and be up there with you. The responsibility doesn't...bother me. I will have you and our children up there, no one to hurt you anymore, and just helping others despite ourselves. Except...I do not want my parents to just...'cease to exist'. I love my parents, and they love me. They even love you, despite everything. My parents are the only ones...who have not been cruel. The idea that I will just...lose them, and they'll be erased from time as if their lives never mattered is really fucking with me Ivan."
Ivan saw how bothered Jeremiah was, understanding wholeheartedly what he meant.
Jeremiah's parents were the kinder ones...the ones who always understood, no matter what. Now they were here and making such choices that separates them from those who created them, forever.
"I can't say anything that can help this situation. However, I don't think they'll just...cease to exist. Primus will...have parents now, and your parents will be his-."
"They won't be my exact parents, they'll be his parents. My parents will disappear, and I love them." Jeremiah inhaled deeply, his lips tightening into a thin line. "Don't you love my parents too?"
"I do! But..." Ivan faltered, watching Jeremiah look at him. His eyes still brimming with his tears as he hesitated to say it. "But I love you more. I'm willing to lose everyone in our current lives right now if it means I can be with you and our children for forever. You're truly all I have, my parents prefer you over me. I'm ready to give it all up to help our Luna. But...don't make your decision based off of me, I'm just telling you how I feel."
Jeremiah gripped Ivan's shoulders as he pulled him closer. Pressing his lips to his temple, he felt one of his tears slip. Slip down his cheek and onto Ivan's face.
Ivan tried to look up to wipe it off, but Jeremiah didn't budge.
"What I'm trying to say is that I am doing this. I'm not making my decision based off of you. I'm just sad that their lives will be erased like they didn't mean something." He murmurs, grinning against him. "I love you and Luka...and our unborn child so much. Never did I think that would be able to hold you close this way...and love you this way. I could go through anything as long as you all are there with me. My parents...or not-."
The both of them hear a knock on the door, Jeremiah letting Ivan go as he went to open it. There Luna was as she stood before the both of them.
"I think there's a misconception. The way I worded my words was harsh and unforgiving. Your parents won't just...die. Your parents will always be your parents. They'll just be my father's parents now. Their soul and incense is always reborn to be better suited to be your parents. They aren't going anywhere. Just in this timeline...things will change to better suit my father's and my rebirth." She explained more lightly.
Jeremiah was still uncomfortable by it all, but that was much better to understand than what was said before. That made it easier to...accept things.
"And I will tell you now. With the way things are looking, they were never going to get better until your daughter was born. Someone was going to get hurt, and it was not Jeremiah." Luna warned, and instantly Jeremiah already knew what he wanted.
"I want to do this then."
She looked up at the both of them, looking at Ivan and Jeremiah...but seeing her parents. Her parents that were about to be reborn...and then they would take her place.
"You want to do this?"
"We do." They both answered quickly.
"Are you sure?"
"We are." They responded in unison once again.
Neither one of them faltering as they both took one another's hands. Ivan beginning to grin down at her.
"Because of you helping...I am here before you...getting this chance. Your father's get another chance together and you get to be reborn. I want to do this much for you, because you've done so much for me." Ivan insisted as Jeremiah nodded.
"But even if we are up there, we will still remember you and how much you have blessed us. Our original Luna...that will never change." Jeremiah went towards her, hugging her close. "You will forever mean something to us."
She could hear Primus' voice in that sentence, and in that moment, she already knew what to do.
It was as if time froze. Light enveloping every single surface of the planet, and time became blank.
Blank for a new time to begin and take shape, as they all switched places. Where the nth chance got to try at their final happily ever after.
And where the happily ever after got to be together for an eternity.
