Louis’s car started and brushed past David’s.

“Are you going to let them go just like that?” David suddenly asked.

Rachel looked at David. “Although I have regrets in my heart, I won’t end up with an aggressive

reputation.”

“You care about that?”

“Don’t you care?” Rachel asked subconsciously.

it.”

Rachel’s heart trembled. She turned to look at the man in front of her.

Rachel looked calm, but there was a smile hidden in the corners of her eyes. “I’m just afraid that you’ll

be scared away by my cold–bloodedness.”

“No.” David stared at Rachel without blinking. His dark eyes were filled with gentleness. “You don’t

have to be gentle. I’ll shelter you from the wind and

rain.”
