Chapter 308
Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David)
Chapter 308 Truth Or Dare
Seeing that someone had stepped forward to ease the tension, Rachel took the opportunity to play
along. However, Rachel was not used to being treated as Davidâs girlfriend. Thus, she replied politely
and awkwardly, âThank you, thereâs no need to trouble yourself.â
Everyone present had long heard of David. Now that they had finally seen. him in person, they could
not help but gasp.
This man was born to be a ruler. Even if he just stood there quietly, the terrifying oppression that
overflowed from the depths of his soul would make others around him tremble in fear. They had no
choice but to look up to him with awe and respect.
David took Rachelâs hand and walked towards the sofa.
Even though they had yet to arrive just now, the main seat was still empty. It was as if they had long
been prepared for Davidâs arrival.
Just as Rachel was about to sit down, she heard Lucas cough heavily and signal with his eyes for her
to take the seat beside him.
Rachel was speechless.
David seemed to have sensed her hesitation. He wrapped his arm around
her waist and sat down.
Therefore, Lucas simply sat beside Rachel with a glass of wine in his hand.
Rachel frowned. Her gaze seemed to be saying, âLucas, what are you doing?!â
âItâs none of your business.â Lucas sneered. He crossed his legs and leaned lazily on the sofa.
From the corner of his eye, he saw Davidâs hand on Rachelâs shoulder and could not help but frown.
What an eyesore!
David seemed to have sensed Lucasâs gaze and looked over.
Lucas did not show any signs of weakness as he raised his eyebrows, revealing an arrogant and evil
aura.
Coincidentally, Jimmy poured Rachel a glass of wine. Without waiting for Lucas to speak, David put his
hand in front of the glass in front of Rachel and
instructed, âReplace this with juice.â
âHuh?â asked a stunned Jimmy.
He thought that Rachel would seem left out if she were to drink juice while everyone was drinking
alcohol.
David looked up and glanced at him casually. A terrifying sense of oppression overwhelmed him.
Jimmy lowered his head and said, âIâll go get the juice.â
Even so, Lucas still glared at David with a hostile gaze.
Rachel secretly tugged at the corner of Lucasâs shirt. âWhy are you pulling a long face?â she snapped.
âMy sister is in a relationship, and yet, Iâm being kept in the dark like a fool. What kind of expression do
you think I should have?â Lucas retorted furiously.
Rachel was speechless.
She was indeed at fault.
At this moment, a man in a white shirt in the crowd suggested, âWell, we have a lot of people here
today. How about we play a game together? How
about Truth or Dare?â
Before he could finish his sentence, the air was filled with countless sighs.
âTruth or Dare again.â
âItâs such a corny game. Can you come up with something new?â
âHow about we play a game of dice?â Lucas suddenly said in a slightly
hoarse voice.
He suddenly sat up straight and looked at David with a faint smile. âAre you up for it?â
There was a hint of provocation in his gaze.
David raised his eyebrows slightly and slowly took off the diamond cuff links on his shirt. He rolled up a
portion of the cuffs and said calmly, âOf course.â
Rachel, who was sandwiched between the two, sighed slightly with a helpless expression.
The soâcalled game of dice required three dice, which they had to shake in a cup before guessing the
numbers on the dice. The loser would then have to drink as punishment.
Perhaps because everyone was in high spirits tonight or they had sensed the strange aura between
Lucas and David, they had all deliberately replaced the wine with the strongest liquor they had.
